Everyone has a game on the 9th and 10th and every team will now miss one clutch player each except SKT who will miss two big names and ACE none since they aren't allowed abroad and won't play at MLG. It's even worse now with the hybrid format where your star players matters more than ever to balance out the squads etc. Other than that, this will be fun to watch I guess? I wonder who's gonna cast it. I hope they won't have alot of awkward interviews on stage before every game like they do on other MLG's with games on the mainstream where they ask questions like "HOW DO YOU LIKE USA MAN? Can you beat your opponent?" etc with translators and then KeSPA players having the most PC answers ever. Leta over EffOrt is a little shock too tbh. And I would prefer if KHAN got to send 2 players instead so we could have Stork + Jangbi!
check what game these people would be lined up to play. With the exceptions of 1-3 of those listed people, none of them are sc2 stars from what i saw opening night and first round. If those people are lined up for sc2 that week, they might not be as key as supposed.

I'm worried that they're not gonna take this seriously sense there's no prize pool. Would be nice to get an idea of exactly how good they are.

Effort is probably the best player in PL when combining BW and SC2, he's truly the messiah of CJ now. Rest are not so good at SC2 so it won't matter as much if they don't get fielded for one week.

But it's still sad for them to list misleading or downright false achievements. Indeed, how can anything be a "major tournament" or "premier league" if there's a shitload of them? Seasonal MLG Arenas (2 now? Why?), MLG Season championships, MLG Championship championships, seasonal Dreamhack, IPL, IronSquid, GSL Seasons 1,2,3,4,5, IEM, and so on.

holy fucking hell. iwant to go so bad!

Fantasy has a lot of #1 finishes. What did I miss? Also, Stork still protoss, right?

Very excited to have them there. As Adam has said, we will be streaming every match of this 8-man. so there will be plenty of free content for everyone :D what was the deciding factor? if it was race balance then leta makes it 4 T 2 P 2 Z since clam plays T in sc2 each team got a single player to repesent. Airforce was not able to attend (due to military travel restrictions) so the extra invite went to Bisu/Fantasy.
Any chance we can see them in the open bracket if they wanted to enter , or are they just there for this tournament ?
|
Fantasy, 15 first place finishes?
they still trolling him and counting oov's and boxers wins? =)
|
As much as i am a hardcore CJ fan and i wanted to see Effort in the tournament , Leta is still a pretty good choice .
|
Fantasy since 2003 ? and 15 first places ? People really need to stop confusing him with oov.

Indeed. I really hope these players actually WANT to be there rather than being forced to go. Because the timing is really weird given that Flash/Stork/Fantasy/Soulkey are still playing in the OSL in addition to the hybrid league. And these guys are going to be able to go wherever they want in the future anyway given the international participation. And MLG's totally fucked up descriptions of these players' achievements is so depressing. I'm with you guys. I wish we could know what this players think. Specially the OSL guys. (Hell, this maybe-last OSL can be Flash's 4th title!!) Is this showmatch that important? Can these players actually CHOOSE what to do?
I'm a SAD panda

Haha super epic, bringing them all.

YES!!! I can root for leta again!!!!!
|
What's fantasy gonna do without vultures and moving shot?
I guess he'll just make weird builds with thors, reapers, and ravens...
|
I'm afraid this is when we will realize Stork sucks at SC2 Poor Dinotoss
|
holy fuck I'm super stoked to see these guys!! :D
