There will be a free stream for this event - source |
damn my only gripe is that effort isn't there lol this lineup is still sick
predictions stork 2nd (ez) fantasy having good bio control (ROFL JKJK though i am looking forward to fantasy vs clam in sc2 if it happens) clam shows up bigtime due to massive crowd leta is a master of 1-1-1 macro variations (where he can allin if he wishes but probably would use the early damage to take an economic lead) soulkey i have nothing for QQ flash gets 3rd (possible FvJ in sc2?) bisu/jd get either 1st or 4th
what i want to happen stork and jaedong to show up and just roflstomp everyone lol bisu vs stork (winner: stork) leta vs soulkey (winner: leta) jaedong vs flash (winner: jaedong) fantasy vs calm (winner: the viewers who die of laughter)

He's referring to Empire.Violet, a Texas grown Korean Zerg that won Spring Arena 2. But the KesPa's players won't play in the main tournament so that's not possible to be seen

No Effort or Jangbi? What a sad case.
|
no way, no. NO. I cannot believe this is happening omg im so excited to see these guys, these legends playing sc2. Im speechless, the day has come...
|
Goddamn it. Now I need to fly my ass down to Anaheim. Bisu and Leta.. HRRRRRGGG
|
I'm a little confused. Is it a separate tournament in MLG. KasPA players will play separately but WOULD HAVE A CHAMPION from their competition, right?

Indeed. I really hope these players actually WANT to be there rather than being forced to go. Because the timing is really weird given that Flash/Stork/Fantasy/Soulkey are still playing in the OSL in addition to the hybrid league. And these guys are going to be able to go wherever they want in the future anyway given the international participation.
And MLG's totally fucked up descriptions of these players' achievements is so depressing. I know for SC2 fans where there are seemingly a tournament every other week, and GSL every month, things like "3 OSL titles" may look bland. But it's still sad for them to list misleading or downright false achievements.
|
Putting them in the OB kills the hype, because they're not ready to compete with the best SC 2 players. KESPA wants to hype these players. To do that, they have to avoid them getting owned by today's SC 2 players the first time they play in front of an international crowd.

I'M SO PUMPED! :D
The only thing that would make this better was if I was actually there

I'd expect him to win personally.

My prediction is that Soulkey wins just because he's been hyped as being so good at SC2. Stork will take second place and Flash + Jaedong will take 3rd/4th. Making a prediction without Flash in top...1 feels weird

BISU!!!!!!
so happy! :D
kinda surprised to see Calm though, although he is a pretty good pick

This is great and all, but now it has become the one thing I feared the most with this partnership and KeSPA going global - Proleague has to suffer. Everyone has a game on the 9th and 10th and every team will now miss one clutch player each except SKT who will miss two big names and ACE none since they aren't allowed abroad and won't play at MLG. It's even worse now with the hybrid format where your star players matters more than ever to balance out the squads etc.
Other than that, this will be fun to watch I guess? I wonder who's gonna cast it. I hope they won't have alot of awkward interviews on stage before every game like they do on other MLG's with games on the mainstream where they ask questions like "HOW DO YOU LIKE USA MAN? Can you beat your opponent?" etc with translators and then KeSPA players having the most PC answers ever.
Leta over EffOrt is a little shock too tbh. And I would prefer if KHAN got to send 2 players instead so we could have Stork + Jangbi!

I really can't wait to see the amount of attention these players get when they come overseas. I mean, we all love MVP and MKP, but even SC2 people who've NEVER seen him play know that he's a few orders of magnitude above the SC2 competition (at least, in Brood War). Once Ke$pa sees the kind of popularity outside of Korea that these players actually have... the scene is going to change forever. Be ready.

I dunno, Leta isn't bad and he has that whole creepy Gender Terran thing going so why not? Maybe he's as good at SCII as he is at drag?

Leta? Really? As a CJ fan, I feel robbed
