This looks similar to the AVR addon that used to be available for WoW.

Hopefully Blizzard doesn't have a problem with this like they did AVR because it looks awesome.

This is truly one of the most amazing initiatives a person has taken for any video game sport. It's reassuring to see that not every step forward has to come straight from Blizzard. I'm just seriously floored by this, great work.

Did you mean not every step backward ? hahaha, but I agree this is an amazing initative, but blizzard has that "2 steps backwards 1 step forward" mentality.

I plan to use this to help teach

The WoW mod made the game easier to play.
This only help outside of playing the game, so I think it's okay.

Something like this doesn't belong in live casting, but rather in breaks and stuff for breaking down a replay of a certain move, it's absolutely amazing. People use this all the time in various sport casts and it's the best way I've seen to analyze a certain play. I can imagine this being a godsend for day9

But it's for casting purposes, when AVR was specifically also used during raids as well. (which was still cool XD)

I don't know specifically how the program is implemented, but if it's an overlay of sorts, then blizzard has no validation (or enforcement method) for preventing people from using it, since it would be the same as placing an ad over the replay bar, etc. (which blizzard seems fine with).

If it actually interacts with the game, there may be issues, but otherwise it should be fine.

Pretty cool. Yeah if it's an overlay it does not manipulate sc2's memory nor does it even "touch" the game. Wonder if those area highlights are translucent or solid. would be nice to see translucent areas in future versions so it doesn't cover entire armies/buildings,etc.
