Rough few months for sure . But if this Doesnt result in a lot of lategame losses for T i'll be surpriced .
Meh, if blizzard finds some way to buff the terran late game, sure, that would be great, but I'd rather that happen without several months of imbalance. I feel like major changes to the terran lategame might cause some serious issues with other parts of the game as well. I'd have rather this patch had more testing-- maybe a full-on PTR.

I actually dislike this patch simply due to the queen change. I honestly think blizzard completely fucked up.

there are a couple things that i dislike about blizzard's idea of "balance"
1. they take away subtle micro techniques in favor of "counter units". before the queen buff it was possible for hellions to at least deal dmg to them with some micro. After the queen buff queen's just need to hold position and hellions cant do anything. This form of "balance" creates scenarios where you just need to have the correct UNIT to deal with your opponent vs having superior CONTROL.
2. it seems as if blizzard is trying to mold the game into how THEY want it to be played instead of the players creating and innovating the strategies. Terran are too good with bunker rush? lets nerf bunkers so they cant do this anymore. Toss dont like to use warp prisms? lets buff them so they use it more. etc...
some changes are actually rather good but i would prefer allowing the players to innovate their gameplay. Blizzard's "balances" make it seem like "dont worry everybody, instead of thinking of ways to counter certain strategies we will be deploying a balance update that will eliminate that strategy all together"

maybe the queen can hit marines hiding behind buckers in those nuisance spots now? I like the OL speed change!

This change won't shut down hellions (though it will affect them, however slightly) but it will make reaper harass much, much harder to pull off. Don't reapers only have a range of 4.5, so now queens out-range reapers?
Personally, I do feel for Zerg in the early game, and it's not necessarily this buff that bothers me. I just don't understand what Blizzard expects the reaper to be used for. It used to be arguably effective as an opener in TvZ, but now that will change. Yes, it can be used for some very light harass in TvT and for some quick scouting in TvP (I never see it, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt) but... honestly, why even keep the unit now, unless it's buffed somehow for mid or late-game purposes?
The other changes are good though, I think it's a step in the right direction. Bunker buff would have been nice though, especially something random and broken :p how about making them be able to lift off? :D jk

Same as a protoss has to do till an obs comes out in PvZ, which is around the 8:30 minute mark. Untill then it's worker scout and "try to pin him" on certain tech paths. Untill the observer is out, we are basically forced to either choose between doing an all-in, or going +2 blink stalkers. Protoss cannot react in any way to what the zerg is doing, we have to directly counter whatever we see around the 9 minute mark with an observer. also that is IF we get lucky to see the actualy tech buildings, since they can just build 1 building and then build whatever units they may need for that tech, we have to search every inch of creep for tech.
Blizzard promised a fix for protoss early game scouting, and they give us 15 seconds shaved off an observer, which actually doesn't do jack shyt for us since the gas cost is the same, basically making it a MORE gas/time intensive unit, which makes no sense at all since we are strapped for gas all the time anyway. only good thing with the build decrease is that i don't actually HAVE to spend chrono on it to get my obs out same time as i used to do with chrono, so that's 1 chrono more spend on nexus i guess.
I would trade my pylons for overlords without the speed buff ANY DAY. i would trade colossus for a flying 100 mineral unit that gives me supply, that's how good overlords were ( and now even WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better then before )
So on the other hand, and i really hope i see what's going on. I hope they are balancing out zerg so that it is "strong" in every phase of the game, then with HOTS because of the new units and stuff they will balance out terran and protoss to be "strong" in every phase as well. i REALLY hope this is the case, otherwise David Kim really should stop listening to anything beneath diamond in case of balance.

Queen change is silly. Hellion openers are pretty much dead now. The should have just made it something like zerg starts with a creep tumor with every hatchery or something. W/e im not complaining since I play zerg, sorry terrans :/.
edit: A huge consequence of this is that zerg has lots less to fear from be cannon blocks at the ramp. Queen now has the range to hit down from the highground. Lol this is so lulz. Oh reaper openings are virtually dead also.........

This is an indirect nerf to terran! The overlord speed will make sniping them in the early game a little harder to find. Although I'm fine with the changes ^^

TvZ is going to become so much harder with these changes...if it allows Z to hold off early pressure with pure queen then i don't see how T is able to compete macro wise unless we go double CC before rax and hope zerg doesnt kill us =/

As a T i don't think the queen range is all that big a deal v hellion openers. most of the time a hellion harass does real damage is not because they outrange the queen, but because they forgot to queen block, or stacked their workers incorrectly, or lined their lings up wrong against the mineral line. And although they don't outrange queens, i still think we'll be able to maintain map control by killing tumors.

Hate to say it but I wish some of the korean terrans would get in a car crash or something so the rest of us mere mortals don't be expected to play on there level. QcQ

I don't think the squeen change is good at all, it kills those early hellion pokes which is bad... T_T though I like the other stuff.

i find it kinda sad that the FIRST thing ppl do with new balance changes is whine there cute lil eyes out instead of THINKING of new builds they can counteract this with.
use your head ppl and evolve. the game and its meta has always evolved with new balance changes. stop crying and waiting for a pro player to show u the light and do it ur damn selves -_-

boy, will these ppl feel stupid once they see pro/top level terrans still going hellion builds and then copy directly off of them.
tip: queens kill hellions stupidly slow.
