It looks like they stayed a while and listened. ^^ Looking forward to it, I'm quite curious as to how exactly the changes will work.

all this patch seems to do, is let you resize chat windows and make it easier? to find custom games

Man if we aren't supposed to get happy then about what?
Sometimes it feels like part of this community wants to be depressed about this game and Blizzard in every aspect whenever possible pah.

I know right >_> Sure this patch doesn't solve everything yet, but it's a first step. And a pretty big one if you ask me..

What the fuck...this is such a troll I couldn't care less about the shit in this patch. Blizzard is gonna just wait until HOTS anyway and make us pay another 60 bucks for basic features like LAN and moderated chat channels it's a joke, bw fuckin had this 10 years ago.

Seriously they musta got a kick outta that... the D3 beta has this ''technology'' and it causes the game to run like crap until the rest of the content is installed.

Yeah like HoTS is going to cost 60 bucks you're an idiot for thinking that.

No shared replays, clan support, battle net tournaments, ingame streams and even those are "may not gonna be in patch 1.5"

What are you so happy about? You get a lan with internet connection needed, a full window chat and a new custom game system.
What do humans know of our pain? We have sung songs of lament since before your ancestors crawled on their bellies from the sea.

All im asking for is for them to let players host custom games that way, only interesting new maps get hosted by players who want to play them and of course popularity is not an issue cuz popular maps would alwasy be made just like BW. Chat interface will be nice too.

Stream feature could be interesting though. More details on that would be greatly appreciated.

You should try to get a Blizzard Employee on your show. I'm sure the community would have plenty of pitch...err...questions for a blue.

We’re also working on a feature that will help players connect with other players and games that are near their location (connecting through the same IP). We believe this will primarily be used by people in internet gaming rooms, offices, dorm rooms, and local tournaments where you just want to find the guy sitting in the desk next to you. Although this may not be ready in time for the release of patch 1.5, we do intend to have this available by the time Heart of the Swarm ships.

maaaaaaaay be this means lan?

Edit:
In fact the custom map improvement is one god damn necessary and appreciated feature.

It's a lot of bandaids, sure, but they are heading in the right direction.

And the custom game change is huge -- finally!

Now to keep the pressure one for shared-replays with a play-from-here button...

looks promising, but i i think that it still is not enough to fix the shitty UI of sc2.

i guess we will have to take what we can get.

Are you sure about this? So it'll be like joining custom games in BW? I hope we will be able to name our gamelobby's like "1v1 masters only gogogogo!!!"

Given how official b.net 1.0 was I expect more of:

"IMPREGNATE KERRIGAN!11111"
"Tower D NO OBBS!"
"FA$T3$T!!!!!"
"6v2 C0mpstomp!"

what about "4v4 BGH XpertZ n0 n0obZ"

no
you'll still connect through their servers and everything, there'll just add some search option to look for people close by, i guess

lol if that makes you happy you must lead a really really secluded life
im asking if ive literraly missed something. Cos it seems like this patch isnt gonna change much and im wondering why people are so excited

Yeah guess my life sucks then. Thanks stranger from the internet.
The patch is gonna change much and if you missed it, it's all mentioned in the first post.

Also I'd appreciate it if you'd put some slight effort into your post. "Cos" it makes for a better reading experience and "English isn't my first language" shouldn't be a valid excuse for you, unless you're just on vacation or something.

It will not be 60 bucks, that's just so retailers can lower the price later. Since this is the absolute maximum they can ask for.
