I'm not angry but very disapointed. Will not pay, will watch assembly instead.

Criticism is allowed. Undue flaming is not. Take a second to think your post through before you submit. Bans will be handed out. Should go without saying, but don't link restreams here either.

But I'm glad the main tournament weekends will still be free. If MLG wants to introduce a few new pay-only tournaments then that's fine with me. I just think $20 is a bit too much to ask for.

But indeed this has to fail hard considering how the other big event is scheduled at same time, which doesn't cost anything. sponors want as much exposure as possible. " they dont care if you dont like it as long as you pay. so if you dont want the future with every big event (not just MLG) beeing 20dollar PPV, than buy it. if this mlg arena with 20dollar is a success then every other major event will think about making their event ppv aswell. well i think the idea of this was: now nobody will complain about the extended series anymore! :D I agree, if MLG succeed with PPV, we will see Dreamhack, IPL, ESL, GSL and others going for the same business model. I would react to this differently, but MLG tactics and marketing tricks are abusive. They announced Winter Arena like 3 weeks ago and there was nothing about PPV nor that Arena events will NOT BE part of pro circuit, now right before tournament they announced this. Misleading and keeping vital information from customers, all of a sudden people that bought MLG GOLD are getting info that their pass doesn't include 7 big events in 2012. I got NBA League Pass, 6 months of content, 10h+ of matches a day for 140$... Starcraft 2 is way to small to pay 20$ for 2 days, and not allowing free lq stream with ads.

The added income for ppv should allow them to make some pretty intense changes by 2013 Or we just all watch Assembly, which tells Asus that SC2 is awesome which will lead to making their tournament even bigger. One of the 2 things costs 20$, the other one is free.

Everyone complaining in this thread should be ashamed of yourselves- organisations need money to survive. Why shouldn't you, the consumer, give them some? I agree, they should offer low-quality with ads, but at the end of the day paying $20 isn't going to kill you, and if everyone did it then there would certainly be many more events to come.

There's so many good sc2 tournaments that I can't even watch all of them anyway.

Well at least their ads will be targeted at people with disposable income. Which would probably be good for the sponsors because their ads will be more targeted so they would have to pay less but that would also mean less money for MLG...
