I stopped watching GSL because of this crap, it cheapens the competition that they just hand out invites to CODE S, which is supposed to be the more "Prestigious SC2 League" but that just makes it a joke. If they just hand them out to the "popular" players then i see it pretty possible any team can just buy a spot for their Ace player at this point. Yeah remember that time MC, MMA, MVP, Nestea, etc. were all bumped out of the GSL at the same time because literally all 32 code S spots were taken up by foreigners?

Useless statistic. The only games played in the last 3 months were in the blizz cup, where he showed CLOSE CLOSE games against arguably the best 12 players in the world. If even one of the games that idra played was as close as any of the games naniwa played, it would be remarkable. But they weren't.

Yeah, no problem. Again, we're going by my assumption that every minute on stage helps every other minute on stage.

I would love to know how many hours Idra puts into practice now that he is in korea. Do you guys think he and the rest of the foreigners in korea practice as hard as the koreans?

what about no-name but deserving players that should be in the tournament, but aren't because there obviously isn't an infinite amount of player slots available and foreigners are undeservedly occupying a number of these slots...?

It's a fair statement to say that basically any player that makes their way through the qualifiers and Code A into Code S (read: any Korean GSL player) is a better player than any foreigner, yielding better games. Not to mention that invites are just taking spots away from these players who have had to work their way up the hard way.

you couldnt be more wrong. i'm probably the few who actually watched the korean weekly before today and always loved the chat but this is just retarded.

lol useless stats? GSL is the most prestigious tournament were players bring their "A" game... Naniwas best against the koreans is 1-12. It's a good measure of how he ranks against the best players when they are playing their best.

Benefit of the doubt: Yes. It's clear that HuK's play is much better since he got there.
But practice doesn't equate to direct results. It's like White-Ra's expression where to win, you must lose.

2-1 is not "raped". To rape someone you need to go like 4-0 or 4-1

400$dollars throwing that away is just complete dumb. And IdrA isn't dumb. No competitive player would throw that away. I just think that you are "disappointed" that idra lost to Taeja which is a very good terran player. So you go to this thread starts to hate on the player that lost just because you rooted so much for him to win. This happens so many times that people loses like this.

My memory might be foggy, but I thought that IdrA just dominated in the two games he won.

Idra was not playing for real. He has a GSL match, so he needs to keep his strats under wraps. It was only a showmatch.
