I dont think this will catch on, and I am sure that no tournament would allow this... Would probably take longer to set up than the normal mouse/keyboard, so it would conflict with possible time constraints.

I'm sure any grandmaster play could use their hotkeys faster than pressing their foot on a pedal, but it's a nice innovation.

I've got this bad boy hooked up to my computer, and thanks several nifty bits of software, I've even set it up so that I can play SC2.

Is it practical? Lol fuck no. Good times though.

Honestly though I haven't tried just the foot pedals. I can see it being better than the 7-8 buttons on the keyboard for me at least, I already have 9 and 0 rebound to my mouse, and 7 and 8 are the only remaining keys I still sometimes miss on my keyboard.

Now, let's see what happens when I show up to MLG with this monstrosity...

Yeah, but what if there was a separate keyboard to use with your toes? There are people who can play musical instruments with their feet, if pro gamers really want the best edge, having 20 digits to press keys with would surely be better than just 10.

I think it's a cute little thing to play around with - probably pretty fun to make as well. Having said that, it's not practical at all - it would be faster to just press a hotkey button with your fingers. Also, tournaments wouldn't allow this extra paraphernalia.

No, just no.....it needs more concentration and unless you use your feet with hands often, like a drummer, it would be harder. Either way, I wouldn't use it. Thanks OP though.

These are actually quite useful for some games, but terrible for starcraft. They depress slowly, but they're analog input, so they're good for long, graduated controls like throttles. Starcraft has none of those.

i guess the guy who made it hasnt realised that there are buttons and hotkeys for this. either way i highly doubt it will catch on but if it did then, well, i just hope it doesnt, giving people more flexibility with what they can use is exactly the same as removing the selection limiter that brood war had. makes the game easier for the sake of being less frustrated.
