from the video it looks like it always does both. That seems annoying.
Also you can see at 1:38 he uses a Razer Naga. This guy really likes unconventional setups.

Despite all of that though, I still applaud this guy for setting himself a challenge of designing and building the system. Regardless of its practicality and legitimacy, it's still something he can say he accomplished, and if he gets satisfaction from it then more power to him (and to the trolls; No I'm not advocating the use of this for anything other than a curiosity).

Erm, i guess he just saved the position previously because the only thing this pedal can do is 0 and 1 which means it cant differe between "save" and "load" when the only thing u do is always a single hit on the pedal. If there is some script behind it then yes it is against the rules. Hum just noticed you would also need some sort of logic if you really only hit the pedal once to switch positions ... whatever xD

His opening statement is that - "The player can swap between two locations by pressing the foot peddle, and secondly these locations can change over time to allow both flexibility as the game progresses." I'm not sure where he says that the program that controls the micro-controllers operation only executes a single "save or load" per key-press. I think you are just making an incorrect assumption, in fact I can see it in his code clear as day. He may only be pressing the foot peddle once but the code is simulating multiple keystrokes each time he does. + Show Spoiler + int main(void) { while (1) { if(DI == 1){ if(alternating){ keyboard.keyCode(KEY_F5, 1); wait(0,1); keyboard.keyCode(KEY_F6); }else{ keyboard.keyCode(KEY_F6, 1); wait(0,1); keyboard.keyCode(KEY_F5); } lights(alternating0; alternating = !alternating; } wait(0.0002); } }

Yeah, but what if there was a separate keyboard to use with your toes? There are people who can play musical instruments with their feet, if pro gamers really want the best edge, having 20 digits to press keys with would surely be better than just 10. not true because no ones even close to the skillcap with just 10 digits. Also those 10 digits can be mapped to 20 easily.

Lol fuck no. Good times though. ![]() Honestly though I haven't tried just the foot pedals. I can see it being better than the 7-8 buttons on the keyboard for me at least, I already have 9 and 0 rebound to my mouse, and 7 and 8 are the only remaining keys I still sometimes miss on my keyboard. Now, let's see what happens when I show up to MLG with this monstrosity... that look sliek a mech warrior rig ... i miss that game. and descent how many axis of rotation can you handle at once on a keyboard?

Frankly, I'm surprised it took so long for anyone to point this out tough — this isn't just an extra button, it's macro/automation functionality. That said, using pedals (I'd say more foot switches, since pedals are typically analog and hence more expensive and less effective as buttons) without macros could maybe be viable, but still probably never used by much more than a small minority. It would be interesting to see if any high level players adopt a device like this though (and by high level I mean anyone winning tournaments, not just (inter)national stars)
