y legends 6 years ago. and nada is not even playing fulltime? or just lately.

July has reached a finals and NaDa isn't playaing full time. It's been said that he spends the largest chunk of his time on school work. For him to make Code S every season while other full time pro gamers have struggled is amazing. Nada is scary.

I really hope we get korean commentators for sc2, their language is so much more interesting to listen to in comparison to english.

as much as i like nada hes not even half of flash

Tied for OSL's and MSL's won, though. Can't say anything about Nada vs Flash in SC2 until we at least see a few games.

What someone has achieved in a lifetime is absolutely no indication of how they play CURRENTLY. Nada has been a fantastic player over the years, nobody would ever dare to deny that. But when was last time he won a Starleague? 2006. When was the last time Flash won a Starleague? Oh right. 2011. Flash is still at the top of his form (and not to mention 8 years younger), while Nada is past his prime, and not even playing full time. There's no comparison.

We ain't seen nothing yet. Three cheers for captain Kespa and his three companions, Hooray!

Seriously, it is going to transform the landscape totally and double or triple the elite pool of the very, very best of players in Korea.

Competition: +150% harder
Metagame: Evolution overdrive!!
Multitasking: Warp five, sir.

Kind of a silly question, but I always wondered what Flash's weaknesses are. He does get outplayed from time to time, so are there just players of almost equal skill that might have a good day or does he have weak spots?
Well, now I tell you, I never seen good come o' goodness yet. Him as strikes first is my fancy; dead men don't bite; them's my views--amen, so be it.

Didn't the polls say most people don't want SC2 on OnGameNet?

e. I'm betting that the team that already started practicing is either KT or SKT.

That's because they only asked ongamenet's CURRENT viewerships,
which consists mainly on broodwar players.

uhhh no,the polls were open to everyone in korea.

Dude, really? Is his argument so hard to comprehend. If I'd ask on NHL.com if they'd want to rather watch the FIFA Champion's League the outcome would be the same and barely representative.

those polls were on fomos, they were open to everyone,it wasn't specific to OGN.

Fomos is a BW community. They are like the BW section of TL, very anti-SC2. The reporters there didn't write any SC2 stories until recently after KeSPA made it clear they're dipping into SC2 too. They still love the BW scene dearly.

fomos is not a BW community its a korean news site for all of esports, kpop and other korean teen interests and is very pro SC2, atleast compared to DES.

Yeah dudes trippin. IIRC Fomos was pretty problizzard during the lawsuit.

DES is often ridiculed as the news arm of Kespa (and had quite a few anti-SC2 articles as well).

Fomos covered TSL3.

Now did someone say Fomos was anti-SC2?

I'm just wondering will the OGN-league have English commentaries?

why would you want them?

listen to korean commentators they are so much better even if you don't understand them.

I can't stand the korean commentators. I want to watch BW but the koreans put me off. And I don't know enough about BW strats that I can mute it and understand what's going on

Reaverrr! Reaver, Reaver, Reaverrrr!!!!!!

Seriously whats hard to understand? You don't need a translator to hear passion. And Korean commentators have tremendous passion.

But it's not fun when I think X player has lost the game when they are fine or the koreans suddenly get excited over something I don't know. Tasteosis have just as much passion as some of those korean commentators. They've got like 6 quote videos which is longer combined than any korean quote/loud noise videos

^ Understanding can be important. For example I follow the figure skating scene, sometimes events that are hosted in other countries have no english stream or tv airing etc. I can still watch and enjoy these events in other languages because I already know how Figure skating works. I can hear the excitement in casters voice when someone prepares for something and combine that audible emotion with the fact that I know what a jump setup looks like and the difference between a solid jump and flubbed one ( there's actually a lot of little technicalities in this beyond did you or did you not fall on your ass later). If someone doubles a planned triple toeloop I can groan right along with the commentators and while I can't understand them explaining the significance of it to the audience I don't need to because I already know what point deduction that will cost the skater in question and how it may force them to adjust their routine ( omg I almost wrote build lol) on the fly to fit a triple back in so they meet certain requirements.

I personally love the korean BW commentators even though I don't understand most of what they are saying. I have a general gist of what's going on in a game and their excitement and the things the observer chooses to focus on is enough to make the games great for me.

Other people however may find it hard to properly enjoy something they don't yet fully comprehend. People newish to BW may struggle to understand why the casters are excited over the appearance of a single unit because they don't realize that it's far too early in a normal game for that unit to be out yet and player X is plotting something cheesy or sneaky. Those just coming to love the game may struggle to fit into the community as they try to embrace something new only to find games leaving them unsatisfied because they feel like they are missing out on important things.

While I don't think English commentary is likely for a variety of reasons, most if not all of which are justifiable, I can understand why some people would want it.

How long would it take for the Bisu TL fanclub to surpass Idra's?

I can honestly see A-class players like Sea who have no chance of winning Proleague/OSL switch over first, because the upside is too high. May take longer for true S Class players to switch, since they still command 200K+ salaries. They'll probably wait until they finish their contracts to switch.

IF they do switch, I really hope they learn from GSL and broadcast in English and Korean.
SC2 is too popular internationally, it would be very stupid not to do English broadcast.

for most of last season his wrist.

don't take me too seriously though,I'm a KT fan so I will be flash Biased, speaking of which if this is true we need to educate everyone of the BW teams.

I hope susie comes and slaps your Sea comment.also stats who is terrible in starleagues makes a 100k just because of his epic play in proleague, so this is why A-class players are so highly placed because of their PL play

This is outrageous. I can't believe that Blizzard can just slap a Starcraft sticker on Command and Conquer 5 and destroy the naturally developed Korean Brood War scene by throwing money. I hope every player, caster and tournament organizer feels ashamed of pretending that SC2 is the true successor of Broodwar in order to make money and gain popularity. If this goes through I will never by another Blizzard product ever again.

This is just too horrible to imagine. Blizzard fucking balances the game for noobs, and terrible players. Can you imagine what would have happened to Brood War if Protoss had been balanced for D level? Blizzard makes incredibly shitty maps so that players can "rush," yet ignores the fact that you can be aggressive on big maps also.

It's like every design decision has been made to dumb the game down so that its popular among casuals. You want to use a shuttle + Reaver, too fucking bad you have a colossus now, its pretty much the same thing. You want to micro carriers, tough shit, the interceptors will now come back, also the goliath can now fly over terrain. You don't like to take more than three bases, cool Browder doesn't like to either, we've changed worker gather rates and added an extra geyser so that taking four or more bases is pointless. You are having problems with seige tanks, no don't use drops or positioning, just make marauders or immortals lol. They have also removed losses from the profiles of noobs, now Joe reddit gold league can feel like a gosu, because that's what makes game good.

I can't believe that every WoW fanboy, Redditor and youtube caster watching noob is getting their way. Oh well, at least I'll have the last laugh when the SC2 foreign scene dies. This has probably damned the Korean scene to a new coke like fiasco as well.

On the surface I think it's easy to make a case that BW is a superior game. But keep in mind that that's largely a function of who is playing and for how long. Yes, you pointed out a few areas of game mechanics where BW is clearly stronger, but who's to say that the top proleaguers won't show us innovative play that isn't possible in BW when/if they switch?

Also, SC2 still has 2 expansions to go. We've definitely not seen the best of what SC2 has to offer.

Browder said they wont change the unit physics engine..

I'm freaking pumped. This will completely change what we know about who and who isn't the top players. I also think foreigners with team houses will be the only ones able to compete. Farewell everyone except EG (hopefully not)

I love how non BW players are comparing OSL and MSL victories from past years. It's like comparing Fruitdealer to MMA since they have the same number of GSLs.

If Flash/Jaedong/Bisu/Stork switch over, they will crush the SC2 scene.
