Really bro...? You either play one or the other if you're gonna take it seriously. Pretty certain.
and it cant be that the "Low tier" players in their teams play SC2? or some guys that want and the others still play BW only? no cant? ok.

in denial or what?
Its been posted that the next PL will be stararcft 2 after this current season and they want Kespa to hurry up and announce it so they can start preparing properly, if thats not pointing towards the change happeneing soon then nothing is. BW teams are expecting an annoucement soon to clarify. Flash according to slashers twitter is already practicing.

Watch the money roll in.
Gosh that would be so awesome, I don't have a job and I'd pay for that.
I didn't think this would come so soon, I knew it was inevitable but the fact that's happening right now is pretty insane. It's so bittersweet

People realize this, but you also have to be blind to not realize that this is the start of a (slow?) transition into full time SC2 for BW pros and Kespa.
Oh man, I pretty much read that with the biggest smile. I'm so pumped that the legends of BW are switching over. I can't wait for Proleague SC2 to see what happens.

Dude, i've been a huge BW-fan for yeeeaars, and as much as i hated having to let go of it, it's just inevitable. People that followed the BW scene know that the top players did pretty much nothing but play BW and then chill for an hour or two before bed.
There is NO way they are going to be practicing BW and SC2 at the same time, they either try to get ahead in SC2 or decide to stick with BW while it's (sadly) going down.

do not assume anything more than what you have, especially on TL, do you really want to start a shitstorm.

Dont get me wrong, I'm here 99% for SC2 and I'd be lying if I said I wasnt excited by this. But from most of what I hear, all viewer numbers are still in SCBW, all sponsors are there, vast majority of fans still follow SCBW over SC2. Mostly everything seems to point towards SCBW just being a lot more popular. The one thing SC2 has going for it is the international scene which really only is available for the absolute top and profitable for very few players, as well as obviously the potential of growth (better jump on the train now before it goes too far too catch).
But still, so if I was the head coach of a team or some other powerful individual in the Korean SCBW world, why would I want to switch? Or is this whole talk about SCBW being more popular bullshit and SC2 is doing well compared to BW?
I think the international effect is really understated.
Korea isn't that big, and BW doesn't exist anywhere else really. Maybe not as big of a point, but a lot of players like traveling. SC2 gives young korean progamers the chance to travel around the world to a bunch of Amazing places. BW really doesn't. Teams are dropping out of BW because of sponsorship. Maybe the sponsors are looking for something new. Something they can use to advertise around the world.
Companies like LG, Samsung, Hyundai, and Kia have way more to gain sponsoring SC2, these are brand names people recognize everywhere. I think it might be difficult for some fans to transition, but it looks like the players are doing fine, the teams are up for it, and the sponsorships will be rolling in.
BW is like a TV show that's run for a really long time. It might have a lot of die hard fans, but it's popularity is slowly being usurped by a newer TV show that isn't recorded on a wet, cracked, iPhone first gen lense.
Teams dont Drop out of Esports not BW. so it isnt positive for SC2 either.
and if Samsung would think like u im pretty sure they would already have their SC2 team and wouldnt support BW anymore.
u have this LG Hyundai or whatever. they throw 50k in and that sit. nice sponsors.
People need 2 realize that not BW is dying but Esports in korea.
Esports can only die if sponsors can't make money off of it.
Sponsors are making money off of SC2. The international companies I mentioned, again, have the most to gain.
It's not about BW vs SC2. It's about money vs more money.

SC2 has the potential to become even larger than BW is Korea. I know it is great but we must let it go. The impact of so many new teams to SC2 pro sense will create so only good things. More tournaments, more sponsors and more nail biting moments we fans can enjoy and smile days after.
God, if you don't know anything about BW please don't post shit like this. Thank you sc2 fans.

You realize e-sports covers all video games yea? As long as money is staying in e-sports, it doesn't really matter what game it is, e-sports will continue to grow.

Actually they are following the money and a more world wide loved game.

dont quite udnerstand your post I didnt say this season I said next season they are switching to sc2(according to the post which I what I meant) and this is confirmed by many points and that kespa havent released anyhting yet(so u never know...)
He said BW isnt dying but it is slowly, the PL change is a blow which is contributing to it.. I for one hope it doesnt, but if the major leageus like PL change then what tourneys are going to be left for BW?
