Also, about the oracle, we don't even know how it operates yet. It could very well stop mining for a full minute for half your workers in a base. That's a huge chunk of income lost, and almost tantamount to losing half of the workers affected.

Not a fan of most of it. The oracle and replicant are pretty dumb, terran units seem utterly uninspired and the swarm host seems like a less cool version of infested terran spam from burrow.

Anyways, P gets too rather gimicky units (the second one looks really stupid tbh, you can stop mining? not kill the workers but stop mining?) and a capital ship. If this thing doesnt in some way SHRED vikings it will be useless.

Terran Units look stupid.

Zerg gets 2 new great endgame units.


Idk, we obviously have little information but Im not too impressed

DAE think that also since corruptors are probably gone (hydra will be more standard anti air with its morph) it would means broods are gone and replaced by the swarm host?

Honestly I'm disliking the first two toss units and the terran units...

The replicator thing just sounds like a bad hallucination gimmick, so until we get clarification.... >.> Oracle just sounds imbalanced... can stop mining, can see what buildings enemy is building? WTF?

Goliath = want, AOE = not want (unless the damage is really low). It should be a unit that's massable, not something that you can be like "oh look 30 mutas, I'll just make 2 of these and defend." Battle hellion, well yeah we all kind of called it, seems kind of boring and the transformer thing has been so overdone :T

2. If these units with these abilities make it into the game, it won't matter what the actual stats are, it's going to be bad anyway. It doesn't matter what the numbers are, at all.

Too many new units. Too many special abilities. Too many new holes to exploit. It's that simple.

YESSSS. DARK SWARM. My favorite spelll in Broodwar and the one I missed the most in SC2. When I heard they removed defilers from Zerg, it really seemed like the entire race had been gutted. This helps that greatly.

edit: wait..it's not dark swarm... Y U NO MAKE ZERG FUN TO PLAY BLIZZARD!!!

I am more concerned about what units they will be removing from WoL, i think that with the way that these units look, there are definitely some conflicting things with the way that the armys would conflict and removal of some units is pretty much guaranteed.

units that won't be removed:
hellion (if there is a morph of a hellion, then the hellion is not removed)
probably Hydra (looks to be what the swarm host is morphed from)

units that conflict:
the most glaring error is that the thor conflicts with the warhound. either the thor's air attack will be edited, or the thor will be removed from HotS muliplayer completely.

another thing that makes me wonder is what will happen to zerg's tier 2 and 3. both units shown are at least tier 2 and i think the viper looks powerful enough to be tier 3. if that is the case, then there would be a LOT of units for zerg to be able to make at tier 2 (hydras, corruptors, infestors, mutas, swarm host) and a healthy amount of choices for tier 3 (viper, ultra, BL). I would not be surprised to see a huge change to tier 2. I think that the most likely thing that I can see are that either the infestor will have fungal removed (or changed to not due damage and have the length of its immobilization get pumped back up to 6-8 seconds) or that the infestor will be removed entirely.

the tempest is described as a 'powerful capital ship', so i would think that they are removing the momma ship or carrier. probably the former.
