No 3rd untill spire finishes? Protoss will rush to dt and expand like crazy due to the mapcontrol or just make suicide dts to kill all spores :/ this just doesnt seem right. You Get Spire Around 10 mins ready, But Toss gets Obsever so much faster ad Terran Has Scan

Not only that, but you have to wait to get energy to give a unit detection. The viper sounds cool in concept but is looking very lacking to me. Zerg loses contamination too.

Correct. But it might not be so bad. in PvP if your opponent DT rushes you must get a forge. However you can get robo and obs out most of the time before DTs unlike this wait until spire nonsense.

Yeah the loss of the carrier is going to COMPLETELY shift the metagame in all 3 matchups.

Plus when you get near 100 energy you can simply use a chrono. So its not really about not using chrono its about when you want to give up 3 chronos to hit 75 energy then you start using chrono again because hitting 100 energy is a waste.


Hmm...any chance we'll see a use from dropping extra next late game the way T drop extra CCs? Mass energy for repeated mass recall. Likely, no. Possibly....

Imo there must be some other way they will let zerg scout. Hopefully base overlord speed is increased .

It can't replicate massive units, and Colossus are massive. However, it does grant the opportunity to go balls deep into a new tech patch as soon as that first unit hits, such as an instant army of void rays when the first pops. Or how about an instant army of Seige Tanks in PvT ?

Nah, grant detection is permanent. Scans aren't.

Zerg have only a spore crawler (limited to creep) before the viper. Terrans get scan very very early.

A lot of these changes are going to turn this into a whole new game. I feel like the first few weeks laddering are going to be chaos for a lot of people. So glad the carrier got dumped btw.

The viper... I don't even...

What possible rationale is there for allowing dark swarm and fungal to coexist? You can literally trap and damage entire armies under a blanket that completely stops them firing back, with no way to recover from the instant the fungal goes down.

That's utterly insane!

Oh, and colossi, which I'd hope might have been able to fire over dark swarm, will never ever be used in PvZ because of the tongue thing. Nevermind.
