First, there was no "balance whine" in what he said. Second, I don't hear people talking about how air isn't viable. How you can't just build StarPort units and a smattering of Barracks/Factory units and win. Nobody complains about that.
It's always about how there isn't enough Mech. Even though fully 2/3rds of all Terran matchups use Mech. So this isn't about having "as many options as possible;" this is about you wanting Siege Tanks. Just admit it.

Given the Chill comment from the blue post and given the obvious flamethrower and the fact that we know there'sa frozen world element to the campaign and what not, I'm fairly sure that it's just a beefier fire using unit. Probably a remade Hellion to adapt to the climate needs, I don't think they'd give them transformation mode.

Seems Blizzard planned to give him actual legs but decided thin metal poles with wheels attached was a better idea.
Overall I like the idea of giving more units a transformation option but this just looks kinda ridiculous.

I reckon that'd be a good alternative to the reaper. Maybe it'd see some more use than the reaper does too. Since late game, especially against protoss you won't just have zealots instantly in your face.

If they're starting to create hype, it means we're reaching a closer release date for HotS!! Although I'd imagine a lot of testing is still to be required...
With regards to this new unit. The silhouette seems a bit crazy really and too much like a transformer, not sure if I like it. But looks to me like a redesign of the firebat, with a weaker flame, designed with wheels, so it's faster. Thinking tier 3 infantry unit.

Could be a thor style unit like the goliath and the cannon on top is a gattling cannon. Maybe it's down to the fact thors are useless against magic boxed air units and also anything other than mutalisks.

At first sight I thought FIREBAT!!!! But then you can clearly see there is wheels on his shoulders... If it's helion it would suck a lot because it is already a ground unit and I highly doubt it's armor would get higher in robot mode...
EDIT: It's a helion transformer 100%  The helion front wheels are smaller then the ones on the back just like the shadows of the teaser pic... SIIIIIIIIIIIIGH!!!!
