Anyways, Blizzard has already expressed concerns about the hellions role in the game, so i find it very reasonable to introduce some kind of new transforming flamethrower unit to replace it with. Probably makes it a bit harder to roast a worker line.

-factory unit with no tech-lab requirement -weak universal GtA and GtS attack -costs about 150m/50 g -can heal mech units for free (maybe some kind of drone that costs energy and fixes limited amount of hp over time, like up to 200 hp/30 s with a speed of up to 15 hp/s... you get what i mean) -can lay down spider mines -can replensih its magazine with new spider mines for about 15 m 25 energy and 8 s each -can drive to be quicker or walk to have more armor/durability and to utilize its spells. but it probably won't be how i wish it. hard to tell what it is, we have to wait for more mysteries to be unveiled ![]()

Then again, I doubt they'd add a ground medic as banelings would just own them too much, that's why they made medivacs I think. Could possibly be some kind of engineer unit that heals mech? An engineer unit actually seems like an interesting guess. Considering that Blizzard may be looking to strengthen mech after strengthening bio with Marauders, perhaps a mech-supporting unit may be a possibility. Maybe the wheels are actually some sort of "spare wheels" that better represents this unit as some sort of field mechanic? The side shields would make actual weapons be very awkward to fire, and the gun on top would look kinda silly if it was a flamethrower. Maybe the double shields symbolize the unit as some sort of pacifist-ish unit like the Medic, which reinforces its possible role as a purely support unit. Perhaps the gun on top is actually some sort of mech-healing gun instead of a flamethrower? Blizzard did experiment with nano-bots as lore reasoning for the now-scrapped ability to heal a chunk of mech health as a spell from the Nomad, the predecessor to the Raven. It is also a possibility that this field mechanic/mech healer may also have several support spells to better compliment a mech build. Perhaps Spider Mines or something similar will be among its abilities? And it would also be interesting if the unit turns out to be a Barracks unit, as it would force a few Barracks to be on the field if a player is going for a full-mech build.

Possibly a caster or someone who can use like spidermines. Mech badly needs some kind of supporting unit. Mech in TvP is impossible right now against a good protoss.

I would also like to add that BW technically had two Terran ground spellcasters: Ghosts and Medics (who had restoration and that blinding flare). SC2 technically has only one: the Ghost (which is a damn good spellcaster IMO). Perhaps Blizzard sees enough room in the Terran tech tree to fit in another ground-based spellcaster, possibly to also support and complement Mech as well. Actually, I have a pretty strong feeling that it will be a ground-based infantry spellcaster that supports mech. While everyone else is guessing that it is a hellion-firebat transformer, I will beg to differ.

Just give the raven the ability to stop seriously. the raven's spells need work.
