I don't like the transformers idea. It makes no sense to create such a complicated Unit from a technical point of view on a battlefield. (ok from a technical point the colossi legs arent really a good idea on a battlefield too ^^ )
An engineer thingy would be nice. Repairs mechunits and has an aoe Slow effect.

I sincerely hope they don't really widen the range of options for terran even more. If they add a new unit I hope they take away an already existing one for it. Or maybe two...

Its a walking sensor tower bunker marauder medic, that can jump cliffs, has cloak and can launch infinite nukes with no cool down for free, is called down from a CC, and shoots giant flames. It's a Browder.

What if the wheels being there is just for lore? Maybe marauders took some scrap from the hellion since their suit was damaged or something.

Seems like some people can only think in terms of balance. Blizzard's objective with these expansions will be to improve the game, to make it more fun to play and a better E-sport. Balance is a big part of that, sure, but it isn't the only part.
Anyway, we know that they want to remove units for HoTS, so there's no reason to assume this isn't intended to replace something. A less volatile (edit: pun unintentional), more interesting replacement for the Hellion maybe. (I refuse to believe it's a transformed Hellion. Not because I don't think it could be that, but because I really really don't want it to be.)

Yeah, a terran melee unit with 2.25 base walking speed so it sticks with the MM ball, but can stim and have its speed increased to 3.475 so it can rush forward, tank and deal its kickass DPS as necessary! Not to forget the MM ball dealing its own DPS from behind, and the medivacs overhead healing the melee meatshield! Now everything sounds so much fairer :o
Anyway, this is an SC2 terran unit, so whatever it turns out to be, it's going to be imba

what a terrible idea, so you suggesting to dumb down the game overall because you think 1 race has to many options?
Would'nt it be better to just give each race as many options as terran rather than to say "hey terran has to many options thus lets remove some". Rather than saying, hey terran is a good representative of what a race should be like, lets make protoss and zerg have more options too.

Whatever it is I hope it's a tier1 unit that auto detects, seems pretty unfair Terran has to burn 230 minerals for early detection.

Ok lets just speculate that this unit is a transforming hellion. Lets say it's only an upgrade that you get from a tech lab on a factory.
This means you can at the early game you can still do your reactor hellion build to harass the mineral line of the zerg to force lings or the building of a roach warren. If zerg doesn't go roaches and stays on lings, you can upgrade this hellion instead of siege tank. This hellion is slower, but when transformed, it will act as a firebat.
This could stop zerg from going the style of mass ling +1 ownage of the terran army when they make that usual push shown here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=261176
I'm sure everyone knows Stephano and his mass ling style vs terran. Maybe blizzard is making hellions as they were intended? To counter lings, nomatter what, forcing zerg to build more than just 1 unit, roaches are only an extra 25minerals and 25 gas and are more larva efficient anyways. Zergs should be thinking of roaches in the mix if they see factory tech anyway right?
Maybe I'm just talkin out my ass, what do you guys reccon?
