StatCraft
About
StatCraft is a free online tracking tool and social media site for Starcraft II. It provides detailed statistics on each race matchup and map so you can see how you are doing and where you should devote your practice time.
It also has a social element to it. All your games, promotions, and achievements are presented in a feed that is similar to facebook and google+. This allows you to share how you are doing.
This website originally started as a google spreadsheet I was using to record my stats. I wanted to see what matchups and maps I needed to practice when laddering. I had shown it to some friends and they liked the idea, so I decided to make it into a simple webform so everyone could record their games without any hassle or required knowledge of spreadsheets.
Since then it has grown into so much more. I found with people using the website I had a huge drive to improve it for them. Social media features have been added so users can see how their friends are doing, share achievements and promotions, and check out some of their stats. The site has evolved from having a simple form to add games, to having full functional replay parsing so you can add games even easier.
Here are some of the current features.
Features - Upload replays or add games manually - Batch upload through SC2Gears! - Statistics for every matchup (PvT, ZvP, etc) on each map
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/statistics.png) - Friends lists - Social Media Feed
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/feed.png) - Share achievements with friends
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/achievements.png) - Share promotions with friends
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/promotion.png) - Battle.net Starcraft II profile integration - Updated frequently with new features - Free to use!
Tracking Statistics Statistics are tracked by either manually adding game info to the site, or by uploading replay files. You also have the option of adding additional data, such as ladder points and notes, to each replay file to provide even more information to you or your friends that replays alone cannot provide. Batch uploads are coming in the near future, now that the site is launched it is my main focus.
Here are some screenshots to give you an idea of how things look and the data the site shows.

Here is a quick FAQ I wrote to help clear some things up
FAQ + Show Spoiler +Can I upload multiple replays at once?Yes! Batch upload is available through Sc2Gears! For more information check out the batch upload page: http://www.statcraft.net/batchWhy can't I upload 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 replays?Team games don't really provide any quality metrics worth tracking, so it's out of the scope of this website. If there is a strong demand to do so I will add functionality for this. Can I download my replays after I have uploaded them?Sadly no. This is not a replay sharing site. To save resources and costs, the important data from a replay is recorded in a database and then the file is deleted. Can I upload replays from an alternate battle.net account?Currently the site only allows you to upload replays that contain your player name in them (derived from your battle.net account). In the future I plan to add support for multiple accounts. How often is my battle.net information updatedYour battle.net profile information (rank, achievements, avatar, etc) are updated every 12 hours at max from the sc2ranks.com API. This update is triggered by anyone viewing your profile page after 12 hours has passed since the last update. This helps ensure we aren't updating inactive users and not hammering the sc2ranks API needlessly.
I plan to constantly add features to the site to make it better for everyone and to give what I can back to the Starcraft II community. So if you have any questions, suggestions, or any kind of feedback please share it here. I'm more than happy to make changes that the community wants.
I'll post all updates I make here, as well if you like the page on Facebook I post all updates there as well.
Known Bugs - Chinese server battle.net URLs do not sync properly due to URL structure - Ladder maps page ignores data in some localizations, data is correct on Map Stats though
Future Plans - Batch uploading - Complete! - Uploading via SC2 Gears - Complete! - More data on each game played (APM, build orders, etc) - Complete! - Ability to hide friends from appearing in your feed - Comments and wall posts like facebook - Search
|
I forgot to add how to add friends.
To add a friend you simply need to visit their profile page and click the "Add to Friends" button.
So for now if post your profile link here, or send it privately, so others can add you as a friend. You can find the link by clicking "Profile" in the top right of the page and copying the URL.
For example, here is mine: http://www.statcraft.net/user/1
You can add a user ID to most pages to see that users data as well. For example, to see my dashboard you can go to http://www.statcraft.net/scii/dashboard/1 and to see my ladder stats, you can go to http://www.statcraft.net/scii/ladder/1

This is great man, if you get time for another feature maybe work on a batch upload so I can get my stats up to date without uploading 300 files. :D
Very cool
|
wow this looks insanely sick
|
Thanks MannerMan! Batch uploads are my next goal now that this is launched. I'm just trying to work out an efficient way to do everything. It will be either upload a zip, or will be done through SC2gears as it already has an efficient batch upload tool.
Thanks Loes! I'm glad you like it!
|
|
|
This is awesome, well done. It helps so much with organizing and determining what you need to work on.
Also, you should probably veto Xel'Naga judging by that chart, that map doesn't like you lol
|
Thanks :D
Yeah my S3 stats aren't that great, especially on that map. Haha. I really need to play more. I dislike vetoing maps though, I feel I should try and get good at all of them XD
|
Man none of these stat tracker programs ever work with the Chinese server T_T.
|
Oh it doesn't? I thought it worked for all.
Is replay uploading the issue? Or the battle.net syncing?
I'll do my best to make it work! Can you PM me your battle.net URL and maybe a replay so I can test it? I don't have a chinese server account of my own to test with.
|
gonna start using this, thanks
|
The issue with chinese server seems to be that blizzard structures the URL differently. I'll get started on a fix. Thanks!
Anyone on the chinese server, if you PM me your StatCraft UserID (taken from profile URL) and your Battle.net URL I can hack it to work for now until I get a real fix in place.
|
Been using the site for some time now. It's pretty neat! Keeps getting more and more added to it, also.
|
|
|
haha cool and GL with the site.... and IM FAMOUS NOW WOOOTTTTTTTTTT
[quoteI want to give special thanks to my alpha testers(TheShoveler, DrivenBatty, ZBZero, Sinlaeshel, Mike, yumyumhungry, Jmac, CaptObvious, fourtytwo, HoboJoe, Nova, Strawcave, Neivs, and mattgrande), the public beta testers, and MrShankly from TeamLiquid.net for coming up with the name StatCraft.[/quote]
im a celebrittttyyyyyyyyyyyyy
|
Do you have to upload each ladder match or does it track automatically?
|
You have to upload each game, or you can add them manually.
Plans for batch upload are in the works though :D
Thanks again MrShankly! I love the name.
|
very cool stuff man going to be using it for sure
|
Thanks tutsicockroach!
SC2Ranks.com seems to be having some issues this morning, and I am using their API to pull battle.net data. As a result when it updates a character it's reporting negative achievements and removing some avatars.
I'll fix this today. Otherwise still working on batch uploads as a main priority.
Update: = Fixed an issue where ladder stat totals were adding non ladder maps
|
The issue with SC2Ranks seems to be resolved. I'll keep watching it just in case though.
Update: = Changed battle.net profile sync time from every 6 to every 12 hours
Your battle.net achievements, avatar, etc are updated at max every 12 hours. The update is triggered when any user views your profile (yourself included) but only if it's been 12 or more hours since the last update.
If anyone sees any more bugs or has a feature request please let me know.
|
great idea and really cool i guess
|
Awesome! Thanks for your contributions
|
is there a way for it to know if it's a custom or ladder 1v1 game?
i would love to mass upload my replays somewhere, but all these random UMS and team games (which yours seems to ignore) can affect stuff, including custom 1v1
|
How about making a FB app that does this thign too? :O Would be great!
|
|
|
So it's like facebook, but without all that annoying real life shit? Awesome, completely, 100% perfect.
Thanks a lot
|
This is a really cool idea. It's great that you see more stuff like this coming out lately.
|
I really like the look of this, I have a suggestion: You could add a feature where a player could list practice partners they are looking for, e.g player 1 "Looking for: Zerg, Diamond+, NA", and if player 2 fit that criteria and is looking for a practice partner that fits player 1, perhaps a message could be sent to both players informing them that if they want that type of practice partner to contact each other.
|
Thanks everyone! I'm glad the community likes it. I'm amazed at how many people have signed up!
Yoshi, it currently doesn't differentiate ladder and custom games. That is to say, if you played a custom game on a ladder map it would record it into the ladder stats. I'll look into fixing this though so customs are kept seperate. You can upload non ladder games though. It will accept any 1v1 game and record the stats on the Map Stats page if it is not a ladder map game. Ladder Maps are recorded on both.
Petrify, I think adding a practice partner finder is an amazing idea. Once I finish batch uploads I'll look into adding this. I like your idea for the implementation, would be just a few check boxes for those that want to participate.
I'm going to add some more social links as well. The option to share twitter, facebook, MSN, etc, and have them appear on your profile so people can find each other.
Please keep the ideas coming. I wanna make this tool as amazing as I can for everyone.
|
Most of the time when I upload a replay, the site gives an error message. But, the replay is actually uploaded en added to the tracker.
|
Contragaming , I think I fixed that today. I just forgot to define a variable before using it and PHP got angry. Please let me know if it happens again and if possible PM me the error message.
Quick update today.
I added some more information to the dashboard. You can now see your winrates for each matchup at a quick glance without having to view the maps or ladders page.
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/winrates.png)
You can see it in action on My Dashboard Page
If anyone has any requests for dashboard data please let me know. It still feels a tad empty, and is generally easy to add in fast.
|
Allright, but the problem still excists. Send you an PM.
|
So... No stats are tracked automatically? How the system tracks your stats is not mentioned in the OP anywhere, only that it can track stats. I'm assuming it tracks your stats based on match history and from that creates the statistics. Is this true? Adding that to FAQ or to features would be greatly appreciated. Should also add that it syncs every 12 hours.
|
Wow how could I forget something so basic. I'll add those now! Thanks!
Stats are tracked either manually or by uploading replays. I wish I could track them automatically, but Blizzard only shows the last 25 games online and with minimal info. Not enough to do anything worthwhile. They have mentioned adding an API in the future, if they do I hope they give access to a lot more information.
|
Looks sick m8! Good job!
|
Just signed up, this looks really cool for easy-to-get matchup stats
|
Thanks I hope you like it!
I updated the OP with some more info as requested.
We just broke 300 registered users and over 1000 replays have been uploaded. Amazing :D Thanks everyone, keep the feedback coming!
|
Sorry to burst your bubble, but StatCraft is pretty much the exact same as www.sc-replay.com (which also has a client that auto-uploads replays after every game if you wish it to).
The only thing SC-Replay doesn't have the StatCraft does is the ability to add friends, but they make up for it by having a "Follow" feature; similar to following someone on Twitter.
It's currently down for maintenance right now, but you may want to check it out when it comes back up.
|
how can i upload multiple replays at a time?
|
can you make a feature to separate the win/loss ratio by league?
|
I made a mistake with my nickname on your website and I can't find any way to change it/delete my account so I can make a new one with my emailaddress. Being able to delete your account seems pretty necessary by itself, so maybe you could work on that? Cool concept in any case. Edit: and I figured I could go to the email I got about it, to say it wasn't me or something, but that's also not possible. Seems less important though, but could be useful nonetheless.
|
I installed it and it's pretty nice. There are some things that can be improved but overall pretty impressive for someone making it without expecting to make a lot of money off it or anything ;-)
|
Regina wrote: how can i upload multiple replays at a time?
Future Plans - Batch uploading - Uploading via SC2 Gears - More interesting data on the dashboard - More data on each game played (APM, build orders, etc) - Ability to hide friends from appearing in your feed
|
It's actually sad that we have to ask the community to get those stats... I still can't get over the fact that can't see my losses -.-
Awesome tool though! Will use it for sure.
|
Oh, and can you design a neat icon to go with the site, so that it doesn't show a blank page in my shortcut bar
|
Exigaet, I appreciate the link but sc-replay just didn't do it for me. I like having more control over my data.
Soulish, I will add that asap as that's an awesome idea. It will be cool to see if you are gearing for a promotion like that.
L1ghty, you're right I should allow users to delete their accounts. I've added it to the list of todos. I sent you a PM about changing your name manually on my end for now.
Thanks FlamingTurd, I'd love to here any suggestions you have.
Thanks Turbo.Tactics! I hope you enjoy it! I too was shocked, and am embarrassed by my stats. It gives me resolve to turn it around for Season 4!
Contragaming, great idea. I can't believe I forgot a favicon. I'll make one up asap!
I appreciate all the feedback and will have an update up tonight with some changes. Thanks everyone.

I'm actually quite intrigued to see somebody try extending this to mainstream social media, for example our practice group have a Facebook group that is insanely active with us posting solely about Starcraft. Would be pretty cool if all of us had some sort of tool that would update how we were doing on ladder on the fly
Will definitely check this out regardless of any additional functionality you add, seems to be useful.

Thanks Uberton. My goal is to basically make this a great social tool for all of the SC2 community while providing a great tool for users to track how they are doing in game. I think a more focused application should make a great community. Facebook is amazing and has awesome leverage from their massive user base, but I feel other applications get pushed aside too easily and ignored in the feeds because of spam. I know I hide all the games my friends play, haha. With a focused app people are interested in that info, so it is more likely to be used.
So that's the goal anyways. I've had some awesome suggestions already that should be a huge boost to the social aspect. Once I get batch uploads done Im going to focus on commenting, posting to your own feed, practice partner finding, and maybe some kind of team management/recruitment. Long term goals though ^^
Update for tonight. As requested I added a favicon to the site. It's not super fancy, but matches the logo well.
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/favicon.png)
I also added links on a users profile to their stat pages, so your friends can now view the following stats easily: Dashboard Map Statistics Ladder Statistics Game History As usual you can test it out on my profile. http://www.statcraft.net/user/1
|
Set up an account and it looks very nice - I'll start using it as soon as mass upload (preferably from SC2gears) is available!
|
As requested by Soulish I added win rates by rank. I think it's a pretty cool stat to see and will help you tell if you are gearing up for a promotion or not. It's obviously not 100% accurate in promotion regards, but should give a decent idea I think.
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/rankwinrates.png)
If anyone wants to see any other info please let me know.
CaptainPlatypus, batch uploads will almost certainly be through SC2gears.

Thanks for the fast response! But the favicon doesn't show. It seems to load twice though, maybe something gone wrong?
|
One feature that might be helpful is the ability to edit game data after you've posted it. So if if upload a replay but forgot to put in the points won or a note about the game, being able to edit my information would be a bit more convenient than deleting it and restarting. Otherwise, looking fantastic
|
Can someone guide me on how to find my profile URL on b.net?
thanks guys
|
On October 06 2011 01:51 b0ub0u wrote: Can someone guide me on how to find my profile URL on b.net?
thanks guys go to battle.net, log in, click on SC2, and click on your name in the top right to show your profile. Then just copy the URL
I will use this as soon as it supports SC2 gears
|
Contragaming, you may need to clear your cache or restart your browser. I had to do both to get it to appear in Firefox. You can try visiting the favicon directly, that made it load in IE for me. http://www.statcraft.net/favicon.ico Chrome just read it right away with a refresh, haha.
Great idea Arnfasta, I've added editing to my list. I might add a few more fields you can enter as well in case users want to store extra info such as a more in depth explanation of the game thats larger than note, link to a replay file, or a link to a VOD, etc.
I'm hoping to have sc2gears implementation ready soon. It's coming along well, but I need to come up with a good way to handle authentication securely as well as prevent mass duplicate data from being imported.
I added some more screen shots to the OP to show the new things I've added.

Thanks WarpMePlz, I'll check it out! Mine too started as just an excel file.
|
I just uploaded all of my replays, thanks! Will use for my CSL team, so i know who has problems and where.
|
Omg ive been wanting this for a long time, awesome!
|
Hello im haveing a problem my stats are not updateing to my stats most recent and also just one question. Do i have to upload replays to see them in my stats are should it be automaticly updated when i but my url in.
|
Not sure if a bug but my achievement points that are displayed on the site don't match my actual achievement points. I currently have 3690, but the site reports that I only have 3490.
Just letting you know
|
Good job man! This is something ive been waiting for.
|
thanks for great tool i can use for my project.
|
nice idea but sc2gears can all do this and way more too
|
Sanitarium14 I plan to add some kind of team support in the future. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!
stapla05, you need to upload games to see game stats. The battle.net URL is just used to pull your avatar, achievements, account name, etc. It is required before uploading replays so I can ensure you are a player in the replay. If you have done all this and still have issues with uploaded games not showing stats please let me know.
n0ah, I am using the sc2ranks.com API to pull in battle.net data. It is likely they haven't updated your account yet so the number is incorrect. You can view your page on sc2ranks.com and force and update if it's been more than 6 hours. I imagine this is the issue, but if your sc2ranks achievement number and the statcraft number do not match please PM me your StatCraft account ID so I can look into it. I thought about coding this myself so it's totally accurate, and may in the future once the other more pressing features are implemented.
Thanks Taliss and unkkz! Hope you like it. :D
Thanks Leeoku, I'll be interested to know what your project is.
CoR, sc2gears is an amazing tool for sure. But this is pretty different and has a large social and sharing aspect. Thanks though!
Keep the suggestions and feedback coming! It helps a lot! For now it's back to working on batch uploads.
|
Mmm like all the changes that keep getting added. Makes me want to try to get some of my weaker stats up... Being random sucks sometimes. >_<
|
ooooo I like this
|
Is this like... StarCraft 2 Facebook? :O
|
Great site!
|
On October 07 2011 01:25 HaXXspetten wrote: Is this like... StarCraft 2 Facebook? :O
It kind of is! I honestly considered Spacebook as a name for a while, but figured I'd get sued into oblivion. haha.
Thanks SoleSteeler, sJarl and Azzur!
|
Awesome, there were / are other projects with similar functions but I like the simplicity of this one. You hae a chart where you can see everything. Just waiting for the batch to upload my 3k 1v1 replays
|
Slight problem: I can upload the same replay many times. Hopefully you'll find a way to reject replays that have already been uploaded.
Other than that, this looks like it will have great potential if you can get some sort of batch upload, and then after that, something that will automatically upload replays after matches. If you could get automatic uploading of replays, this could be really cool.
|
I'll be fixing the duplicate upload issue with the same update as batch uploading.
For now since it's manual I hope it's not too much of a problem. I figure if people just upload each game while they are searching for the next it should keep everything straight.
It's a holiday weekend here in Canada so I'm hoping to make some major strides on batch and have it launched next week. Here's hoping I don't run into any problems ^^;
Automatic uploads is an interesting idea, but I have some worries about it. I'll certainly think it over though, but for now I'll see how batch uploading streamlines the process.
|
I have a major issue with my account. I used the free name change recently, and the website will no longer let me upload replays because the name in the replays does not match what it initially gathered from my profile. I've tried editing the link to my Bnet profile to the new name. I.E. battle.net/en/profile/AYAZ to battle.net/en/profile/TOXIC. My name still shows on the website as the original as well. I'm not a computer programmer, however, I'm guessing that when you create an account, it gathers pertinent information like your character name, and then never checks it again. I'm guessing since it's something that never/rarely changes. Am I close to the mark? Is there any way to fix it?
|
I sent you a PM so we can resolve this.
It should work if you set your old bnet name, upload those replays, then change to the new one. I see no reason updating it wont work. I'll need the info I asked for in the PM to be sure though.
I'm working on multiple battle.net account integration along with the batch uploader. So this won't be an issue soon.

PM'd you back. Amazing site. Look forward to using it more. I recommend that anyone who hasn't created an account do so immediately. Thanks again.
|
I PM'd you a solution to the problem. Hope it helps!
I didn't get a chance to make any real changes this weekend. I fixed one small bug where where stats equaling exactly 90% were showing as dark red instead of green. I doubt anyone noticed that though, haha.
I'm still on track for batch uploads. I'm really hoping to have it done by Friday as I'm away for the weekend. But I can't make any promises. There is just a lot to consider since the data needs to be saved to a persons account and I don't want to risk it getting applied to another users account, either intentionally or through a big. Additionally I want to make sure no duplicates are uploaded messing up any data or hammering the server needlessly.
Please keep the feedback coming. I'm very pleased so many people are using the site so actively.

SC2 Gears Uploading Is finally here!
I've completed the code for uploading through SC2Gears! However it still needs some testing. I wanted this released fully before I went away for the weekend, but that doesn't seem entirely possible...
SO I'm releasing it here as a beta test! Go to the URL below on StatCraft for instructions on how to use it. http://www.statcraft.net/batch
Keep in mind this is a beta! Verify all your games in your match history! Everything should be working, but I just haven't had a chance to test the many replay types out there. If a game appears incorrect please delete it and post what happened here. If you could attach the replay so I can test with it that would be great as well.
I have run into one problem sadly. It seems SC2gears doesn't actually allow batch uploads. If you select several replays then right click > share replay it only uploads the most recent one. I sent a feature request email to the Sc2Gears creator asking for this feature, so hopefully it gets added!
There will be no updates over the weekend, but I can access this thread and my email to help anyone trouble shoot. When I return on Monday I will get to work on preventing duplicate games from being uploaded, as well as a more detailed game page with data such as APM, chat logs, etc.
Once again, thanks for all the feedback and support.
|
The uploader works for me! Took a minute or so to configure, but no problems. Fun ^^
|
I've spoken with Andras of SC2Gears and it looks like the next update is going to allow batch upload. So that's awesome :D Those of you with several hundred, or thousand, replays will be able to upload them all with a couple clicks!
Currently Sc2Ranks is down again and they have posted this message on their site:
The DB server decided to take a nap. Unfortunately, this was unscheduled and so the site is down. Looking into it to get more info, will update when I have more on what happened.
As such profile updates are failing. I am using this opportunity to clean some code so errors aren't displayed when the update fails. Then I am going to finalize Sc2Gears upload error messages and release it to everyone out of beta since there doesn't seem to be any issues so far.
As far as new features. This week I plan to add multiple battle.net account integration so you can upload stats for your alts. Be they smurfs or accounts for other regions. At first stats will be merged for each account, but I plan to add some views so you can separate them if you like. Game editing will be next so you can make changes to the notes, points, etc without having to delete and re-add the game. I also hope to get some work done on commenting and wall posts.
Anything else people would like to see?
|
Batch Uploading is finally here!
It is now possible to upload all your replays at once through SC2Gears! For information on how to set this up go here: http://www.statcraft.net/batch
Duplicate replays are ignored. So if you upload your entire directory multiple times it will only accept new games. Though please don't do this if you can help it, as it needlessly hammers the server checking all the replays again.
I've updated the OP and FAQ with info about this.
|
StatCraft will be down for a few hours on Monday Oct 24th to get ready for the start of Season 4. Do not upload any Season 4 replays until the maintenance is complete. Be sure to upload any remaining Season 3 games before then, as Season 3 uploads will be locked once Season 4 starts.
I've also made a small bug fix: = Fixed an issue where manually added games were not having the map name added to the feed.
|
I can't upload more than one replay at a time. I do everything it says here http://www.statcraft.net/batch , but when I try select all my replays at once, it just uploads the single replay that I had to right click to even bring up the menu.
|
Hmm it sounds like you might not have the latest version of SC2Gears. 8.3 is the version with batch uploads. You can check it in Help > About.
If that's not the problem then I'm not sure, you may have to ask in the SC2Gears thread as that problem won't be StatCraft specific.
|
Thx for putting in all the effort, looks like a great helpful site, pity i don't play 1v1 ladder
|
Well, this has definitely shown me that PvP in platinum/diamond is definitely imba for my opponent.
very cool site!
Also, the win rate by rank doesn't seem to work.
|
kaetor, how isn't the winrate by rank working? Could you link me to your profile?
I updated the site for Season 4. Please let me know if you find any errors. Blizzard threw me for a loop changing the map pool so I had to make some last minute changes. Hopefully there are no errors.
I have an actual content update coming as well, but I wanted to get the new Season up for players asap.
|
|
|
Thanks :D
It seems there is a bug in SC2Gears at the moment where it can freeze if you upload 1 replay at a time. So I recommend only using Sc2Gears to upload 2 or more at a time until the new version comes out. I let the devs know so it should be soon.
|
I keep getting this error message even though i am uploading my own replays Error message: Your Battle.net ID does not match any of the players in the replay. You can set your battle.net ID in your profile.
EDIT: nevermind i was stupid and didn't look at some small details on statcraft site. all is good now!
|
Great!
Is it possible to add 2 seperate accounts on 1 website account? (f.e NA and EU account)
|
Will people be able to see these replays?
|
Doesn't seem so. It only records statistics from the replays rather than the replays themselves
|
I'm so gonna use this man Looks amazing!
|
Glad you got it solved Greyhawk. Are the messages too small or misleading? I was considering adding a sort of to do list for new users that gets checked off then they finish the items. Something like 1) Add bnet id, 2) upload a replay, 3) add a friend. Etc. Would this help?
wireke, Im adding multiple account features soon.
WCH, currently it just shows whether you won/loss, the map, rank, and your opponents name in the history. I have a game details page half done now that will show a bit more, like APM and chat log. This will have a privacy feature though so you can hide any replay you want.
Thanks Chux!
|
Very nice I hope to see my stats later on in the season
|
Bump for justice!
How exactly do you add friends? Already convinced 2 mates to use the site in combination with sc2gears, but cant find a button to add them? ^^
edit: nvm, didnt read first page, my bad

Hey Tanag,
Slight issue, not sure if this is a bug or not but when i tried to upload an individual replay of my most recent match and when i clicked on 'upload', everything greyed out and nothing uploaded/responded. Am I the only one with this problem?
also, do i have to go on the batch site everytime to paste in my batch code? or is there any way to make it a one-time entry?
|
wireke, glad you figured it out. I really need to add a friend search. It's a bit silly you need to know their ID... I'll try and get it into the next update.
Greyhawk, that is an issue with SC2Gears unfortunately. It can hang if you upload a single replay but works fine with 2 or more. I've let the Sc2Gears dev know and they said it will be fixed in the next update. That update will also have StatCraft as a default site which is really cool!
Sadly you have to paste the code everytime. SC2Gears does not save the password. I didn't know that when I went my complex pass route. I should have checked. :x My next update has the option of a custom password, which should make that a non issue.
Next update will come in a couple days. I'm currently working on the following: - More stats (such as winrate over game time so you can see if you need to improve early, mid, or late game) - custom SC2Gears passwords - game editing (so you can set a note, points, and fix ranks after the fact) - a game details page with more info - some privacy settings so you can hide said game info or your entire profile - comments (on games and on walls) - a new design (mostly graphical stuff as it feels a bit bland right now) - options for streamers to have it post on their wall when they go live
I also want to start thinking about team integration/management and some way for users to manage tournaments. Those are a bit longer term though and still need some serious thought.
I will be releasing items as they are ready, but that's what's in the pipes for the next little bit. I am of course open to any and all suggestions. This site is for the community, so what you all want matters!
|
|
|
That should be easy enough to add. You can't parse it directly from replays sadly, but I can make it user enter able on the edit replay page and then have a nice view for it with some graphs. I could even display the SQ Scale Graph of all the ranks to show where you stand.
Consider it on the update list.
|
|
|
I stopped using this a few weeks ago because I uploaded a bunch of reps and some of them were custom games/not ladder and I couldn't delete them.
Still wanna use it, but just waiting til all the bugs and good features suggested are implemented!
PS- what happened to the other thread?

|
SpoR, you can delete games on your Game History page. You've always been able to there. Maybe I should make that more evident? The only other thread I had was before launch I asked for help naming the site, is that what you mean?
Thanks for pointing out my instructions aren't up to par. I'll try and make them clearer! EDIT: Ill change it entirely since it's now a default.
justnoob, the site processes the replays instantly after an upload. So it's odd they wouldn't show up. Can you link me your StatCraft profile so I can investigate?
Thanks so much Dakota! :D You rock!
|
my god how come Ive never seen this?
This is what I need desperately thank you so much will starts using as soon as I get home
|
It keeps refusing to add my replays because it tells me I haven't set my b.net profile even though I have....
also php errors everywhere.....and sc2gears of course doesn't have a scroll option for the infor on the map for people with 1280x720 screens like me -.-
|
First, thank you for that site, it is great! I only have 2 minor problems. The first one: When I want to delete a game in my match history, it always sends me to the top of the page, then I have to scroll down to confirm it. Well, it sucks :D I want to stay where i clicked it, because finding the game again is quite hard.
My second problem is regarding uploading a bunch of replays. I wanted to upload all of my replays via SC2gears, but only parts of it made it, the other part failed because the server didnt response. Now I am struggling to find out which games I have uploaded and which not. That could be quite some work to fix that for each game individually. Any tipy you can give me on that?
Sinclery Tarotis
|
Hope you enjoy it Tommylew! :D
Trowabarton756, can you link me your profile? It sounds like its not parsing your bnet profile correctly and that's what's causing the problems. If you see the php error again could you send me it via PM? That would make it really easy to solve the problem.
I might change how that's done since a few regions show the URL a bit differently. It's a bit difficult since I only have an NA account to test on. Maybe I should invest in every region...
Tarotis, thats a great point about it resetting your position on a big list. I will change how that works so it's more fluid asap. It's not something I had considered because my game list isn't super huge.
With batch uploads in Sc2Gears it will only accept the replay file once per season. So if need be you can just send the entire list again and it will skip any duplicates. Try and avoid this when possible as it hammers the server checking for the duplicates. It's not the end of the world and won't kill the site, but it does put a needless strain on it if you do it every time. Especially since some users have a few thousand replays.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. This is really helping me get the site running smoothly and weeding out all the errors. I really appreciate it. :D

I love this tool.. just ran it today after testing 6 pool vs every toss I face and I was blown away by the results.. 47-3 (94% winrate).. I'm a zerg user, but 6 pool is OP.
|
ok couple of things:
- my 47-3 is when i make ONLY SP and extractor.. nothing else.. makes sense. - my profile isn't updated (my avatar image is wrong and my achievement points are wrong) - I get this error when uploading:
2011-10-28 10:05:03 - Preparing for replay upload... 2011-10-28 10:05:04 - Connecting to StatCraft... 2011-10-28 10:05:04 - Connection established. 2011-10-28 10:05:04 - Sending replay... 2011-10-28 10:05:04 - Replay sent successfully. 2011-10-28 10:05:04 - Waiting for server response... 2011-10-28 10:05:05 - Upload failed! 2011-10-28 10:05:05 - Error code: 4 2011-10-28 10:05:05 - Error message: Your Battle.net ID does not match any of the players in the replay. You can set your battle.net ID in your profile.
I verified this was me playing.. but again, its showing my old name and profile on statcraft.com so its failing
|
I've been using sc2buddy.net to do the same thing for 3 seasons now
|
bri9and, you should be able to just enter your battle.net ID on the Edit Profile Page: http://www.statcraft.net/user/edit Upload your old games under the old name, then change it back to the recent one.
Your profile should auto update as soon as you save the battle.net URL. So you can verify it there.
With regards to your data being incorrect. I use the SC2Ranks.com API to pull data. I can't control how often they poll your account for data so sometimes things are a bit delayed. If you go there and view your profile you can see when the last update was. StatCraft will pull that data when you view your own profile if its been more than 12 hours since the last update (SC2Ranks.com limits me to once every 12 hours). I realize this isn't the ideal solution. I will eventually write my own account parser I think, but I would rather roll out more useful features in the meantime.
Hopefully that answers all your questions. If you have further problems feel free to PM me and include your StatCraft profile link.
Also 47-3, wow. What a win rate! :D Congrats!
I'm gearing up for another update soon. My goal is going to be 1 a week. Maybe every Tuesday like Blizzard does. But we'll see! Here is a sneak preview of the new design. This isn't final, but it doesn't hurt to get some feedback before I launch it.
New Design * Design is not final, still working on it!
|
Tanag, thanks, I've updated my profile on SC2 ranks and your program grabbed it immediately. Uploading now, thanks!
|
I know this probably isn't your issue, but can we get it so SC2Gears saves the passkey for uploading batch replays. It's rather annoying
|
I'm making it so you can set your own password for batch uploads in tomorrows update. That should help a bit. But if you want to request that of SC2Gears you can ask here.
I apologize for how annoying it is. I did it that way originally as sort of an API key, but then my focus shifted to batch uploads and I didn't really rethink that aspect before release.
|
Hi, thanks just registered. Ive uploaded 3 reps (manually thru site no gears too noob for that ), but in my match history page , next to the result WIN sign it shows 0 points?
|
vahgar did you enter points on the page and they aren't showing? I did some tests and I couldn't reproduce that error with manual uploads.
Update!
I launched a new design for the entire site. Hopefully everyone likes it. It looks a lot more professional now and should be a lot easier to navigate.
Please give me any feedback you have, or let me know if you find errors. I'm still fixing a few cross browser bugs, mainly in Internet Explorer. IE doesn't like to follow standards it seems...
I'll have another update tomorrow with custom Sc2Gears passwords. I found a bug just as I was launching this and had to remove it, and now it's too late to fix.
|
The registration email is reported as possible phishing by Gmail. I don't know what you did, but they're angry at you :p
I'd thank you for the site and say that it works great, but I decided to register right when Blizzard does a rolling restart on the EU servers so I can't find my bnet profile page. I'll report back with some feedback when I can.
Edit: I'm consistently getting these messages when uploading a replay: + Show Spoiler + A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Notice
Message: Trying to get property of non-object
Filename: controllers/scii.php
Line Number: 888 A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Warning
Message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/dmccrone/statcraft.net/system/core/Exceptions.php:170)
Filename: helpers/url_helper.php

Everything works well after that, however.
|
I get the same messages when uploading.
New layout looks good, I had a little hard time finding the upload button at first.
|
Looking good! However after using the mass replay uploader I'm getting this message all of the website.
A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Notice
Message: Undefined index: v_W
Filename: controllers/scii.php
Line Number: 514
Edit: after deleting all games vs CPU and games which couldn't be ranked, all seems to work fine again.
|
It looks like there are some issues with the Sc2Ranks data being pulled. I'm looking into it now. I'm not sure if the API is down or what, I'll try and resolve it asap and put in some checks so these error messages are cleaner.
Sorry!
|
Hmm, seems to have fixed itself. I guess SC2Ranks was glitching briefly or something.
I'll add some checks in place for when its down it skips over trying to add that data.
Bromazepam, thats interesting it's reported as phishing. Thanks for the heads up. I'll check into why. Maybe it doesn't like names like StarCraft since Blizzard has a ton of phishing problems in WoW. That error should be resolved now that Sc2Rnaks is working again. Please let me know if it continues. My guess is it was because of the restart as you mentioned. I definitely need to clean error messages when the battle.net parser fails. I'll get on that asap.
GloriousFS, thanks for the heads up. It's supposed to reject games against the CPU. I'll have to test why thats failing. That was definitely the problem though. Hmmm.
I'll have an update out tonight with custom batch passwords and some of these bugs fixed. Thanks again for all the support and feedback.
|
Fixed a bug that would throw an error if Sc2Ranks didn't report proper data.
Updated the batch upload page to allow custom passwords!

Is the Add Friend button missing? Me and a friend of mine tried to test this website but we couldn't find a way to add each other as friends.

So where exactly do I input my batch upload password?
|
On Nov 3 2011 13:54 pm_squad wrote: So where exactly do I input my batch upload password?
Should be below the username. Try to scroll down or lengthen the window.

I uploaded my replays using sc2gears but they did not record the league wins stats(bronze, silver, etc) with the exception of one game that was on NA.

Wow, I cannot believe I accidentally removed this in the design update. What a botch! It's back, really sorry about that!
On November 04 2011 00:19 Amornthep wrote: I uploaded my replays using sc2gears but they did not record the league wins stats(bronze, silver, etc) with the exception of one game that was on NA.
This has to do with the SC2Gears API not reporting the data. Either it hasn't parsed your opponent since he did his placement match, or their API is down. I've been seeing it a lot lately for both reasons. I'm working on an edit page now so you can fix the data yourself. I wish there was something else I could do, but I just have to deal with the results it gives me. Sorry.
For now you can delete the games on the Game History page and reupload when the API is working (test with 1 or 2). That's a real pain though, I know. If you want a mass delete PM me your profile and I can purge them in bulk in the database.
I, and others, have asked Blizzard to create an official API like WoW so this won't be a problem anymore. They say they would like to, but have no immediate plans. If this continues I may write my own parser so I can ensure it's a bit more reliable.

Man that sucks. Sadly it's an Sc2Gears problem, so you'll have to get support in the SC2Gears thread.
One thing you can try is entering your username, then hit tab and maybe it will move to the next field where you can enter your password even without seeing it. It might not work, but is worth a shot! Good luck!

hi,
there´s a problem with the map names in different languages. "Tal'darim AltarLE" is called "Altar der Tal'darim LE" in german and it didnt get added to the statistics when uploading the replays.
link to my profile: http://www.statcraft.net/user/1034
if you need translation for the map names i can translate it for you tomorrow(at least for the german map names).
edit: it works fine for the map stats but the ladder stats are wrong.
|
I can't find the upload button anymore. Is sc2gears the only way to upload replays now???
|
Yeah Gooht I need to rewrite how ladder maps are singled out somehow, it does mess up on other localizations. Feel free to PM me the german names and I can add german support pretty fast.
Garnet I moved it to a floating footer that appears on all pages. I figured something like Upload should be on every page, but I wanted it to stand out from the header navigation. I guess I failed there... XD Sorry! You can access it here if you still can't see the link. http://www.statcraft.net/scii/upload I'll see about making it more obvious as you are the second person to comment on not being able to find it.

Update
Sorry for the late update. I got real sick with some kind of stomach bug and missed my Tuesday goal.
Light update this week from the looks of it, but I laid down a lot of background code for new features. This updates main feature is the addition of a game specific information page. Click below for an example.
http://www.statcraft.net/game/3120
I'll be adding APM graphs shortly too. I just need to fiddle with it all still. The data is there.
Every game in your feed now has a link to the more info page. So anyone can see it.
This seems like a small one. But I put some code in place to allow replay editing, I just need to finalize some form checks to ensure proper data. Expect that for next Tuesday.
Additionally I made other small changes, including: - Added upload and add links to the left nav as some users didn't notice the footer ones (requested by Garnet) - changed the look of tables slightly to look nicer - updated the site encoding so special characters from other languages appear correctly
I also made some code changes to have proper ladder maps for every language, I just need to write a script to update the 30,000 games already entered and I'll get that into Tuesdays update as well.
If anyone finds any more bugs or has any more feedback, please pass it along.
|
Update
I added APM graphs to all the individual game pages. You can see an example of it in action here: http://www.statcraft.net/game/14916
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/apm.png)
I also added the ability to edit game information after the fact. So you can now fix any mistakes, add in ladder points to replays, or add any data the SC2Ranks.com parser couldn't pull.
I'm still working on adding the localization and hope to have it in soon. I apologize for the delay.
Please let me know if you find any errors.
No bug reports in the last week, which is great news. My next plan is to work on the community aspect more. I'm gonna to add a notification system, commenting on games, wall posts, wall post comments, friend search, etc. Give the site more of a use outside just looking at stats.
After that I want to start on Team Pages in some fashion. So any suggestions there would be more than welcome.
Hope everyone is enjoying the site!
|
I signed up a while ago, but without batch upload it was just too much of a hassle. Now that it's been implemented, this site's been pretty easy to use. It's mostly just an online version of sc2gears, but I like that because it makes it easier to share my progress with my friends. The data's presented in a much more readable fashion too.
Keep the updates comin!

Agreed.
Also, have you ever considered attempting to code in some sort of way to have something like a pie chart of stats, like winrates and how often you face a certain MU on the ladder?
|
Update
I added table sorting to the Game History page as well as pagination. It pages the results every 50 games. You can sort by wins, loss, rank, matchup, date uploaded, and date played. I can add more data here if needed, but it's already a bit cramped.
I also updated the look of the dashboard data, and add 2 new pie charts as Conquerer67 requested.
![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/pie-graph.png) It's a bit less exciting for users who only play 1 race. They will generally see 33% in each matchup over a long period of time, but for randoms it provides a bit more interesting data.
For next week I'm hoping to have better season separation done, based on when the game was played. This will be retroactive as well. I have a friend search basically ready as well, which is a long time coming. I shoulda focused on this earlier. I also want to get some fixes in for non english localization. This code is better thought out too and should resolve any php errors people get here and there.
Please keep the suggestions coming. I'm trying to roll everything out asap. Wish I could just work on this full time!
|
Very nice project. I have just signed up and I really like these graphics and statistics presented in this fashion. I hope we get cool features such as Main Building Control development over time ^^

I found the solution. If you changed your ID, like I did, put your old ID name in the battle.net profile.
Example
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/1392505/1/NEWPROFILENAME/ is your new battle.net ID profile
change it to your old one like this
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/1392505/1/OLDPROFILENAME/
Reason for this is they take the profile from SC2ranks, and SC2ranks doesn't update your URL once you change your name.

|
Add some kind of "invite friends by email/facebook/skype" function. Most likely the main way of spreading this to others, not linking a url so another may add you since that's just very very uncommon and slow.
|
This looks amazing! A phenomenal tool for people who play random too in terms of answering the question "what matchup do I need to reevaluate?"
I am also getting the same error as Chromatic, I have not change my username and getting the same errors.
|

Awesome. I've been looking for a site like this for a while.
Uploaded all my replays through SC2Gears.

Hey, I really like the idea and I just registered, I fully support you since Blizzard doesn't allow the low leagues to see their stats...
However I have a problem with the map Metalopolis when I add a game. The map seems to not register properly and it registers Shakuras Plateau instead of Metalopolis.

Chromatic, Eliwood5837, 1800STFU, xspaceghostx, Mitchlew, and vanskater It looks like SC2Ranks.com was having issues when you registered. It seems fine now. I apologize for this. Thats very interesting. I've yet to see a problem like that. I pull the map name right from the replay, so I'm surprised it could be wrong. Could you post here or PM me the URL to the game in question on StatCraft? A copy of the replay would be great as well. Just upload it anywhere. Statcraft deletes them after parsing sadly, to keep server costs down.

Do you have any experience with android-apping? Having this "on the go" truly would be the most useful function. To keep track of friends while they play etc.
I really like how this is moving towards a (battlefield 3) Battlelog-like site, which actually is incredibly useful since they removed loss-stats for players below masters :o
Sorry about the sad news in the family, don't get all stressed about this hobby-like projekt and prioritize as you wish!
Regarding smartphone-app format, it would make statcraft the main source for sc2-related tracking on a handheld.
|
Will it be possible to export stats for sharing? I'd love to be able to give a link of all stats in one .png for instance with piecharts of total games, games per race, win %age, win %age by race and MU and map, etc.
Awesome job!
|
Ouch, I'm sorry for your loss, that's quite unfortunate
About the little bug occuring for me with Metalopolis, the problem is when I manually add a game. I still haven't tried to upload any replays. Each time I try to manually add a game on Metalopolis, it registers Shakuras Plateau.
It's not a big deal since I'm mostly interested about the stat for each matchup but it would be pretty cool if this could be solved.
Big support and awesome job so far

I'm hoping to have this done for next week. Im totally changing how your register bnet accounts. It will be you can add as many as you like and set a "main" one that it pulls for your profile (rank, race, achievements, etc). It will read all the others when uploading replays.

Thanks Luckily a hobby helps me relax! Id love to create apps for this once I feel its complete. I only have an iPhone myself so Android may be more difficult. So I guess it is in the long term plans, but I don't know when. I could make a web based smart phone version though. One that fits the design better.

Awesome job! No export plans currently. Though it is an interesting idea. Right now you can link your dashboard and map stats page, but the user would need an account. I can look into making publicly viewable versions of thee pages as a stop gap till I can make some kind of exporter.

I fixed the bug. It came down to a typo in the end with the map ID. Oops :x Blame Blizzard for that one, haha. They had announced no map changes for S4 so I didn't prepare for any, then Metalopolis was added and I scrambled to get it working asap.

Yeah the header does look like Twitter. I am using a library they publicly release for some of the design elements.
Update Small update today, but a new feature. There is now a user search so you can add friends a lot easier! You can search by username or battle.net names, so it should make it quite easy to find your friends.
Check it out from the top navigation, or click here: http://www.statcraft.net/search/user
This was a long time coming, and I apologize it took so long. I'm still tweaking how it handles relevance. It's a bit hard to code well, but should refine over time.
For next week I want to fix some issues with non English localizations not showing in the ladder(but do on maps) and hopefully roll out either commenting or multiple characters. Maybe both if it goes well, but no promises. XD

Thanks everyone :D
No update this week. I am sorry I have been doing a lot of work to change how things work for season 5 though. Instead of manually managing seasons I am going to sort the data based on the date a game was played. So you can upload your entire history and have proper data for proper seasons, as well as an overall total.
I'll try and get some small updates in in the meantime though. I really want to finish the commenting system as well as multiple account stats. I have some ideas for more graphs too, like winrates based on game duration so you'll know if your early, mid, or late game need work.
As always, thanks for the feedback and keep the requests coming.
|
Greetings!
I recently used up my free name change and updated my battle.net URL afterwards on StatCraft. Now i get redirected to the correct profile but am not able to upload any replays via SC2 gears. I get following error message:
"Your Battle.net ID does not match any of the players in the replay. You can set your battle.net ID in your profile."
I tried it for multiple times, but still get the same error. Am I doing something wrong? I'd appreciate your advice, as I really like the site.
|
Hmm thats odd. Can you link me your userid? I'll check into that. Let me know your new and old name as well, I can check the database and force it to be what you need.
I've actually totally rewritten how adding your profile works so I can allow multiple SC2 accounts per user. I'll be releasing it along with other updates on Tuesday to coincide with the Season 5 start.
Other changes include how seasons are checked. They will be date based instead of manually based on upload time like it is now. I've also found where replays store if a game was Private or Matchmaking, so ladder stats will become more accurate. Right now if you played a custom game on a ladder map it records as a ladder game.
Update wise, all I've done is fix a bug where Map Stats totals were sometimes tripled as zerg under certain circumstances.
I'm hoping to get some other updates in as well for Tuesday, but sadly the Christmas season really kills the free time XD
|
StatCraft will be down for maintenance when Season 5 starts to add new features. It will be down most of the day as I need to run some scripts to convert a lot of data to a new format, and then run some tests after the fact to ensure everything is a-ok.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
|
Hey is the a way of getting rid of my seaosn 4 data and startafresh?
|
If you PM me your user ID I can clear all the data for your account.
The update I am pushing right now may change your mind though. It sorts everything in a much much better way. All your seasons will be totally separated based on the date the game was played. I should be done in another hour or so then it will be back online.
If the update doesn't suit you, PM me your profile link or user ID and I can reset it for you.
|
Season 5 update is live!
I totally rewrote the Map Statistics and Dashboard pages, as well as merging all data into one cohesive database. You can now sort the data by season on the fly! You can also see a total data tab for all seasons combined. Seasons are differentiated by the date played in the replay. So they should be accurate. If there is no date played, it resorts to the date the replay was uploaded (or manually added).
For now I removed Ladder Maps as it was never actually accurate anyways. It would count custom games on ladder maps as ladder games. I'll be rewriting this to be more accurate and add it back.
Please let me know if you come accross any bugs! I can see the bar graph for total games and wins is a bit bugged, so I'll look into that. The numbers are right, but the wins bar isn't as long as it should be.
I have multiple accounts totally done now. I just need to rework some aspects of the site that call the profile data to use the new account data. It appears on a lot of pages so it will take a couple days. Expect it soon though. I'll also be adding another graph that shows your winrate based on duration. So you can see if you early, mid, or late game needs work. It will likely be broken down into 5 minute intervals, but we'll see how it turns out.
As always, thanks for the support and keep the feedback coming. Also Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
|
Hi again! How about a mail-invite? I got tons of friends ready to join but we're all to lazy to keep the link sharing (for adding friends) between all of us.
Also, for me as an european player, the season 5 start date isn't the same as counted at statcraft.net. This makes my dashboard a bit out of order since it counts a few games from season 4 as well.
For example, my season started december 21st, since our seasonstart-/maintenanceday is on wednesdays. But since your site follows the american date (tuesdays i think), i get games from the 20th counted to my fifth season even though i didn't play my placement match in this season until december 22nd.
|
Oh damn you are right. I didn't consider the different region start dates.
Hmm I'll have to come up with something to change that. I wish that blizzard had made it static across the realms. I may have to add preferences page and let users change their region there, or set custom start times.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it.
I also like the email invite option. It would be cool if they auto added them as a friend as well. I've added it to my dev list. Thanks!
|
I have been following this very nice website from the begin, and just want to give you a compliment for the tracker! Maybe even more for updating it and your fast answers to the problems we give you!
Cheers!

Thanks Contragaming
Very small update today. Christmas obligations have destroyed my time XD
I added little rank hovers for the profiles and game pages. Just hover over the rank icon and you'll the actual rank of the users.
![[image loading]](http://img.derekmccrone.com/Ranks.png)
Nothing super amazing, but I wanted to get something out this week at least. With the holidays over I can get back to some solid updated. Work on multiple accounts is nearly complete, so expect that soon.
|
Last time I checked, when you add a game to your match history you cannot set it to any of the new maps for the season 5 map pool. Just pointing that out.
|
How do I add my b.net profile to my statcraft profile?
Nvm found it.
|
Is there any functionality to auto-upload your replays to statcraft via sc2gears as you play? The news feed would be particularly useful that way, as opposed to me needing to upload individual replays after each game to reflect my session. The batch uploading is great, but doesn't provide much 'real time' updating.
|
Would be amazing if it updated automatically anyway that could be possible?
|
I just signed up and tried this tool today as I love to track stats. Great tool! One question though....is there a way to share my profile with a friend without them having to sign up?
|
i like it alot, but i think unitl there is no autoupload feature or something similiar, it will lose attention, because the mostpeople are to lazy to replay all their replays... sadly
|
I'm not too lazy to upload my replays after a sesh, but I think it detracts from the value when you have to upload a replay after every GAME for it to have any meaning to your friends while you play.
|

Just use sc2gears, it takes like 5 secs if that to upload hundred or so replays at once.
|
this makes hitting that find match button so much easier for me! awesome site.
|
I don't know whether this has been brought up before, but the bars on the Win Rates section of the Dashboard are out of proportion. It isn't a big deal but it would look much nicer if the bars reflected the actual win rate, such as if my win ratio was 50% the green bar would be about half the blue bar.
|
@Selendis
I realize there is a bulk upload option, I'm saying if my friends are logged into their accounts, I'd like them to see game-by-game results so mass uploading is not ideal. I'm saying that to achieve this goal, manually uploading a replay after every game seems a little burdensome.

I'll add this feature in for the next update, it should be pretty easy. Before the redesign it would have been a hassle which was why I hadn't done it, but I've restructured things in a way I can do this more easily.

Seems you are right. For some reason the bars look correct if you play more than 1 race, but break if you only play 1. I play Protoss and Zerg so I didn't notice. I'll look into it, thanks!
With regards to auto upload. I really like this idea, but it would need to be developed as part of SC2Gears. I would suggest everyone that wants it post in the SC2Gears thread here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=124689 and maybe Dakota_Fanning will add it. If not, SC2Gears does have a plugin interface that could possibly do this(havent looked at the docs myself). Plugins however are written in java, which I was terrible at in college and haven't touched since. So I wouldn't expect it anytime soon from me. At least not until I get all my site features I want complete.
Once again I appreciate all the support and bug reports. We have such an amazing community here.

Nice service
|
Thanks Chumillas! :D
Minor Update Fixed an issue where the Dashboard win rates graphs were displaying incorrect bar lengths for single race players Fixed an issue where the Dashboard win rates graphs was not showing the horizontal axis values for single race players
I also added Current Win Streak and Longest Win Streak to the Dashboard. Right now they are just 2 little number icons in the top right, and when you hover over it tells you their meaning. I tried a few ways to show the titles ahead of time and still have it look nice, but I couldn't make it not look like ass. Any ideas are welcome.
I'm still working on multiple users. I have all the functionality done now, but I need to rewrite the rest of the site to use that data. The profile stuff, avatars, the uploader, etc. Shouldn't be long now though! After that a notification system, comments, and maybe a forum are my plans.
As always, thanks for the support and feedback. : )

I tried to upload though batch upload and it told me 30/30 failed to upload? any reason? EDIT: 2012-01-09 21:12:19 - Error message: Username and Batch Upload Key do not match!
Whats this mean?
|
It means that you have entered the wrong username or the wrong batch upload key into the uploader, you can get key from the upload page on the site.
|
Anh is correct, you can view and change your batch password here: http://www.statcraft.net/batch Should I make this more clear? I guess it is just a little blurb on the Upload page linking to it. Maybe I'll make it a nice button.
The reason I don't set it the same as the normal login password is you can never be to sure how secure someones PC is. While I trust Sc2Gears, it's possible you have other malware on there that could compromise the account, and any account you use that password on.
|
Any chance we'll be able to do batch uploads with multiple file select + drag and drop? This technology already exists. drop.sc replays has it.
|
That's honestly not something I had ever considered, but it is a good idea. I use that functionality almost daily with Gmail and work and it really is convenient.
I'll look into it for sure, it's not a part of web development I've ever explored. It can't be too too hard though.
Thanks! :D

Would people be interested in me adding Spending Quotient from whatthefat's Do you macro like a pro thread to the site?
You would have to add the data in manually after the fact sadly, as it is not stored in the replay.
Trying to think of something fast to add as multiple accounts is taking longer than expected. I basically have to rewrite large portions of the front end to show the new data, and a bunch of scripts to move the current data into the new tables. It will be worth it though.

I think it's worth adding in, even though I know I'm too lazy to add in my SQ. But I would focus on other issues first. If you could make it easier to make/find friends that would be awesome. Currently none of my sc2 buddies use Statcraft, it would be nice to click a button and have an invite sent etc.

For now if you PM me your StatCraft profile and Battle.net URL I will fix everyone manually in the database. I'll look into some changes so this doesn't happen when Sc2ranks has issues, or a way to enter it manually for users.

There is a search at the top to find friends. Any ideas what could make it easier?
I thought about adding a suggest friends of friends kind of thing, like facebook has.
I really wish I could see a usersbnet friends list. You can view your own friends online, but sadly not others friends. So I have no access to it. It would be so easy to rip that list and check if they had statcraft, and then suggest them or auto add them.

I was thinking along the lines of, you type in your friend's email (aka bnet id) and it sends an invite via email. But yeah it is a difficult problem to solve. The search would be useful if statcraft was mainstream but we still have a fair bit of recruiting to do until then I guess.
Another thing that would be nice is if you made it easier to randomly browse (stalk) people. Then it would be jsut liek facebook .

Nice work, keep up the good job !
Unfortunately Im finding myself unable to use StatCraft Problem seems to be related with battlenet name change. StatCraft recognizes my new name correctly but fails to upload any of my replays (due to incorrect ingame name). When I look for my new name on sc2ranks, it doesn't find anything (I can find my old name tho). Note that I used my free name change during the end of season 4, so it occured some time ago.
Any idea ? Is this normal ?
BNET profile: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/863851/1/CrayZee/ Old name => IamSoCrazy New name => CrayZee
Thank you in advance. Sorry if my english sucks btw.
|
Thanks OPnitemare and YouMake. :D You make me smile! haha
enykie, I've sent a reply!
IamSoCrazy, I've manually updated your new name. You were correct in that the issue was related to SC2Ranks not finding your new account. I've manually added it to their site so it should no longer be an issue. http://www.sc2ranks.com/eu/863851/CrayZee
For anyone else wondering, you can manually add any account to SC2Ranks.com by searching your bnet url on the Battle.net URL tab.
|
Thanks a lot Tanag ! I wasn't aware of that sc2ranks feature (manual addition).
At the moment I am at work but I will try at home later and tell you.
EDIT: Everything is working fine now
Thank you again and keep up the good work!

For some reason i decided to re-copy my bnet ID into the ID bar again, And now i'm getting this.
Your Battle.net ID does not match any of the players in the replay. You can set your battle.net ID in your profile.
Any idea how to fix this? It's the same exact ID.

Link me your profile and I can fix it manually. Sometimes the API I use reports blank data and it gets saved. I actually have a fix for this in the next release, I just gotta finalize some bugs and get it up there.

Thanks my man! awesome service!
|
Should be fixed! Your avatar will return the next Sc2ranks.com update. (12 hours ish)
|
Looks like the SC2Ranks.com API is messing up again.
I just pushed an update that fixes it so your username, avatar, achievements, etc are no longer lost when the API breaks. So you'll now always be able to upload games.
If your account isn't working right now, just view your profile page and it will force an update. http://www.statcraft.net/user/
Sorry for the inconvenience.

So just to be clear, this doesn't actually pull your match history from bnet, does it? It would be really awesome if it could populate your whole match history and then allow you to aggregate data from a set time frame to look at match up statistics.
|
Sadly no. I wish that were possible. The battle.net site only lists the past 25 games, be they 1v1 or not. I also can't see any detailed info about the games. I wish Blizzard would show what you can see in game online, it would be amazing.
Best I can do is pull total wins for each season, but I don't right now as displaying 2 win columns for uploaded replays and whats on bnet could be confusing.
|
Great App Tanag. Use it every day. Amazing Job!
One feature I was thinking could be cool for my ego is. "Display stats for XX previous games".
This would help me because, for isntance, I have played 260 games this season and have improved substantially in certain matchups (I think). I would love to see my stats over the past 50,75, 100 games.
Also, have you considering implementing any graphs? Winrate over time, APM, etc?
Thanks and keep up the good work,
kreLL
|
Wow, this site is really cool. Thanks for making it!
|
Thanks krell and Alisera!
I think that's a great idea krell. I am looking to add a lot more statistcs.
I've been fooling around with a time graph that lets you narrow the range down dynamically. I'll see about adding it. I may need to create another stats page, the dashboard is gonna get mega cluttered! haha.
Any ideas for a good way to present that data I am all ears. I can certainly add graphs like APM over games quite easily. I'm just worried about clutter.
|
Looks excellent! I'll definitively be using this in the future.

I've been trying to play with the system a bit and I've come across a few issues that provide a very frustrating experience. To give you an idea of my usage, I'm periodically uploading groups of replays and evaluating the statistics. I'd like to eventually see the statistics across all seasons, for every replay.
I sent an email to you about my second point, but I'll make all requests public:
SC2Gears is horrible, I repeat, horrible, for batch replay upload management. For the love of God, please write your own batch replay upload system. Can web browsers support multiple file selection? Maybe you can handle the upload via a multiple-file selection dialog loaded through JavaScript or Perl.
Let me list the issues with batch uploads in SC2Gears: * A native OS file open dialog would be quite helpful for replay selection as it allows sorting, different views, and file management. * SC2Gears does not support copy/paste on OSX so the batch upload password has to be typed manually each and every time an upload is attempted. * The upload password is conveniently masked so the only way to verify the 256-bit password is to attempt the upload. * Once an upload has failed, the entire operation has to be restarted to ensure all files are uploaded.
There should be some way to uniquely identify each replay, whether the files themselves are signed by Blizzard or you perform a simple md5sum and store that in the record. At present, I can upload the same replay multiple times and apply it to the statistics.
You have added an Edit function to delete replays, but it is written for single replay management. Allowing a sort of the replays by date and/or season with a batch delete would somewhat mitigate the lack of unique replay identification.

Hi, it's been a month since I started using StatCraft and I must admit that it's really nice ! However here are some feedbacks :
- the only place you can read your global win rate is in the "Map Stats" section, it would be interesting to have it in the "Dashboard" section.
- In the Dashboard menu, you should indicate the number of games played against one type (Race or Level) : I mean it hurts each time I see a big red 0% vs Bronze when I played only one game against a Bronze. Maybe there could be a threshold proportional to the total number of games.
- When I select a particular season in my Dashboard, the percentages in the charts and some other stuffs are misplaced.
- In the "Map Stats", maybe there could be the possibility to order them differently (by number of games, by win rate). However it is still pretty clear and pleasant to read.
Despite all these remarks : good job and keep on that way !

I'm sorry you have such an issue with Sc2Gears. I agree it's not the most user friendly at times. Sadly at the moment there is nothing I can do about it. I plan to in the future work on an auto uploader which would solve a lot of your problems, but that's a ways away. I'm a web developer so it will take some considerate work to get that going.
Replays are uniquely identified by the md5sum, but it looks like this is only working for SC2gears. You shouldn't be able to upload the same replay twice, so I will fix that on the manual uploader. It seems to work fine on Sc2gears. Sorry for the inconvenience!
A batch delete is a great idea, I will add that to the work queue. I'll also add the seasons to the Game History list.

Good ideas on the Dashboard improvements, I have some new graphs I am working on so I will ensure those get added at the same time. I'll also add sorting for the Map Stats asap as that is quick.
As always, thanks for all the feedback! It all helps me make the site the best it can be for the community.

Season 6 Update!
StatCraft has now been updated for Season 6. Any season 6 replays uploaded before the change should be automatically sorted. If this isn't the case please let me know. I sort replays based on the timestamp and it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what time of day Blizzard started the season. So it may take some tweaking.
With this update comes the ability to add and upload from multiple battle.net accounts. So you can now add your smurfs, accounts from other regions, off race accounts, and everything to a single StatCraft profile and upload games for any of them. Your stats will all be merged to give you a global picture of how you are doing. With this changed I removed the account related feed updates to rework them. You will no longer see achievements and promotions till I fix it. I had to remove this as it was really spamming the feeds if a user had multiple accounts. I'll try and think up a much nicer solution.
I've also made some aesthetic changes to the site. You'll notice a new left navigation bar, as well as a redone profile banner. I've also changed and added some new icons here and there.
I added a section to view a users friends list, much like Facebook. Hopefully this will allow people to find each other easier as you can browse friends of friends.
Since this is such a massive update, please let me know if you come across any errors or anywhere the new design elements break.
I have another smaller update coming soon to add more info to the dashboard, add sorting to the map stats page, readding feed data such as promotions, and make profiles/stats publicly viewable so you can link non statcraft users your data. I expect this to roll out within a week.
After that I plan to work on community features such as feed commenting, game commenting, replay sharing, team management, stream management(will show in feed when you go live) and some forums. Not necessarily in that order.
As always thanks for the support and feedback.
Fixed Bugs Fixed a bug where your avatar could disappear if SC2Ranks.com was down
Known Bugs In the game view your player name will always be the name of the account set as your default and not of the account that played the game
When sorting by rank on Match History it is done alpha and not by actual rank (eg: gold > masters > platinum)
Since the EU season 6 start date is slightly delayed some games played on EU after the NA start date may appear in the wrong season.

You'll have to use SC2Gears to do mass replay uploading like that. You can read how here:
http://www.statcraft.net/batch
It will upload them all 1 at a time in the background for you, so very little work once you set it up.

I can't recreate that error without intentionally entering false data, can you link me your statcraft account and I can look into it? Alternately try setting a new batch pass on the page I linked above if you haven't.

Is there a way to specify the date played on manually entered games? I wanted to add smurf account games from season 4 to my main account and it places them in season 6 by default since I can't figure out how to specify the date of the game.
|
Hey Tanag, I added my friend's account as one of my secondary battle.net accounts as I use his sometimes to practice Protoss. I uploaded a game to my profile, but then decided to delete it and add it to his Statcraft page instead. When I tried to do that, it said that none of the players in the game match the battle.net URL of his account. I tried deleting his profile from mine and trying again, but it still doesn't work. Also, on his account, if I click the link below his name, it links to his battle.net account profile correctly. Here's his battle.net profile URL if you can help: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/2732822/1/OPwenger/

That's normal, you have to enter your games more or less manually. This site exist because Blizzard doesn't want to stock (or publish) your statistics, so there's no real automatic way to have them.
To Tanag : I have my games from February 14 classified as season 6, but it was still season 5 (in EU servers at least).

The new Ladder Maps are not in the drop down list when manually adding games
|
I do apologize for the issues. : (
I'm off work in an hour and will fix them all when I get home. The name change issues are because I had the DB do a full refresh of all accounts when I moved the data, this overwrote the manual changes I had done for people. It was an oversight I feel like an idiot about.
I'll also add the new ladder maps to the manual add page then too, another oversight.
I'll make a more comprehensive post when these issues are fixed tonight. Again really sorry for the problems.

Hmm this one is interesting. I did a search on that URL in the database and it shows no accounts with it, BUT I can see that profile data there. So there is some bug allowing the profile data to stay when the account is removed. Go to the new account management page and try readding that account please. Thanks for helping answer the questions, you are correct. : )
It looks like S6 started almost a day later in EU than NA, and I only check the one time stamp. This is an oversight on my part since I only play in NA. I do apologize and will try and come up with a solution. Since users can enter multiple accounts from any region now I may need to add a preference option that lets you set the start times. I'll try and come up with something asap, again I apologize. I say blame Blizzard on this one for not pushing the updates uniformly.

If you send me a PM with your username, email, and batch pass (just so I can be sure its you) I'll reset it all for you. I'll look into adding this functionality for users to do on their own.
I pushed a fix that should fix this old account issue once and for all. I changed the way the name is grabbed from your account. So it should never happen again! Sadly my mistake may still affect some people as that data has already been parsed. If you are having this issue you can readd your account on the new account page and it will fix it. http://www.statcraft.net/accounts
Thanks for all the feedback everyone, and sorry about the problems. It's a bummer they all came out as I was at work and couldn't get to them sooner.

Update
I pushed an update that should fix some security around the site. Nothing on the user end should be changed, but it's worth nothing in case I did break anything. Please let me know if you find something.
Sorry about the lack of content updates the past 2-3 weeks. I've been busy sadly. Haven't even played many S6 games myself. I do have one in the works though. It will contain mostly minor updates, like sorting the maps table, a better friends view, some bug fixes, and maybe a new graph or two.
Donations
Added a donate button to the footer since a few people have asked. Donations are by no means mandatory, but they are certainly appreciated. Anyone that donates will get a fancy little badge added to their profile to show my thanks.
I'll flesh out the donation page more in the next update and add the badges then. I may also add some various other badges, almost like achievements.
Here are my current ideas: Beta Testers Donators Upload 100 replays Upload 1000 replays Make 100 comments (commenting coming soon in an update) Make 1000 comments Be a member for a year (we arent there yet, but for the future) Upload a game for every season Play a game as every race (may avoid this since not everyone is random) Play a game as every matchup
If you have ideas for them let me know! I'm not sure when these will make it in, but if there is interest I'll work on it after commenting. I think it could be a fun little thing to try and collect.
|
I play random and have uploaded every replay since season 1. I have a hard time viewing the stats since the name of the match ups are at the top (PvP - PvT - PvZ etc.) and the overall records are at the bottom. I've memorized the basic layout (PvP - PvT - PvZ - TvP - TvT - TvZ - ZvP - ZvT - ZvZ) but it's still a little hard to navigate it all and get a good idea of the whole picture without continually scrolling up and down the list.
You can get an idea looking here, and going to my map stats what I mean. I'm not really sure how to fix this, but maybe simply adding in that match up names at the bottom of the table could help?
^^ Love the site!

Thank-you very much for the site. I've already started to use it to better improve my game. Shame on Blizzard for not having this info by default!
I wanted to link my profile so that my friends whom are not members of statcraft.net could see my profile page. Anyway this could be done?
Thanks again for this great site!
P.S. I recently was promoted to Gold from Silver but nothing shows on the site saying that I got a promotion. Does this functionality not work anymore?

I'm sorry this put you off the site : ( Unfortunately I require the captcha. I had turned it off for a brief time and the site just got slammed with bots. I'm using Recaptcha, I'm not sure there is a better system out there. Hopefully you'll consider trying it again. : )

As stated above you can now share your profile and stats pages with non users. Thanks for the feedback! This is really something I should have planned for in the beginning. Any future pages of interest will be open as well.
I've also re-enabled the promotions in your feed. I had removed them when I added multiple accounts because they were causing issues with spamming the feed, but that is resolved now. :D If you'd like me to retroactively have yours report to the feed just PM me with your Statcraft username.

Just a quick suggestion of something that i think would be awesome. You have the Match up Break down (IE Vs Z Win Ratio: 76% T: 50% P: 90%) as an overall thing. Would it be possible to see what you went today as an overall record for that day and vs what MU? I think it can be useful so it would be something like this.
03/26/12 Vs Protoss: 5-5: 50% Vs T: 3-7: 42% Vs Z: 8-2: 80%
I would love these feature if there is anyway to make it possible that we be awesome. Have been using Statcraft since season 5. Love it ! Thanks man!

I should have another update ready soon!
As always thanks for all the wonderful feedback and suggestions. Please keep them coming. :D

Thank-you Tanag for this wonderful tool.
Possible addition? I've been uploading strickly my ladder games to StatCraft so that I don't polute my stats. However I find myself playing more tournament games and I'd love to be able to have Stats about the tournament maps that I play on. Is there a way that we could upload our games place them in different categories like Tourment, Practice, Ladder and what not. This would be a cool addition and would make your site that much more useful.
Thanks

Thank you for the awesome tool you have made this will help me a lot.Keep the good work!

StatCraft will be down later today for a Season 7 update. Any season 7 games uploaded will automatically be converted to Season 7 after the update, so feel free to update as normal. Ranks may be missing while we wait for Sc2ranks.com to update, until then you may have to manually edit in the rank data.

I really like this idea. I'm gonna to add a tournament and practice category to the listings. You'll need to manually edit in any games that fit this criteria, but it's better than nothing. Thanks!

Thanks for the support
I'll post again when the Season 7 update is complete.

I have a little question since I saw at the start of the page that you can see your APM (Chart stats) I cannot see that/find it or is that still in construction process?

Season 7 update is live. Sadly no new features, been busy lately. Hoping to get something in soon.

APM graphs are on a per game basis, so you can see them on an individual game screen. Example: http://www.statcraft.net/game/166818
That does give me a good idea for an APM over time graph though... hmmm
As always, thanks for the support and please keep the feedback coming. I'll try and get some content updates soon!

That's a great idea. I was wondering, how do you view your average apm over a specific game, I seem to only be able to see instantaneous apm?
Oh, another excellent feature would be to categorize your games. For example, you click on season 6, take a look at your TvZ, notice that it's 35%, you wonder why, click on it, and it shows you a list of all the replays that are TvZ during that season. A column to the right of that would display several diagnostics such as length, date, apm, eapm, etc.
|
How do I allow SC2 Gears to auto upload to Statcraft? Is this even supported via SC2 Gears? There is an option called "Custom Replay Sites." It asks for the upload link to Statcraft. I'd love to see this feature supported to streamline an the process even further.
Edit: a 2nd question. Why does it take so long for the Game Info to load? Is there any way to speed it up?
Lastly, this is a great site and I'd love to see it supported further! Keep up the good work!

While I am in no way connected to the site I would theorize that the long time it takes to load the game info pages is because of the APM Graph. The apm info is probably saved in numbers on a table and those numbers need to be converted into a graphic. That process can take time especially if the game is long.
Tennag, if this is the issue and you are using PHP to create the site I may be able to help you with that particular problem.

This looks really cool and I'm excited to use it! THX for the awesome product.
One question, how do you add friends? I've been clicking on the friends button, but I don't see any way to actually add anybody..

The graph actually is the average APM. Each point on the graph is the average of the last 60 seconds. So you can see a proper trend as it goes along. I originally did have the instantaneous APM on the graph as well, but it was so spikey it was pointless. You'd have points at 0 and the next at 200, the next at 50. It was just so messy to look at.
I do have the average APM of each player stored though, I could display that and create a graph showing your average APM accross all games. That could be interesting.
I really like your category idea. I've been thinking of adding map specific pages that show more data, and hadn't considered matchup specific pages as well. So great idea. :D

StatCraft is fully integrated with Sc2Gears by default. You do not need to add it as a custom replay site, it should already be in the list. You can read more about it here: http://www.statcraft.net/batch
Sylvanium is correct in that the load times are related to the APM graph. I'll explain below in regards to his comment.

You are correct. The APM charts are just a massive amount of data. The issue seems to be mainly on the DB end and not the PHP end. Though you are correct I use PHP and MySQL. The APM table in my database is nearing 2GB. So much of the delay is just grabbing that data.
StatCraft is still hosted on some shared hosting. It doesn't bring in much in ad revenue or donations so I haven't been able to move it to a private host without costing myself a bunch of extra cash. Maybe one day.
If you have some ideas still I'd love to hear them, feel free to PM me.
I may hide the APM on the page for now and have a Show APM button to make it appear using AJAX so no slowdown happens unless it's requested.

The friends link shows people that are already your friends. maybe that is misleading.
You can find friends with the search bar at the top, or if they link you their profile. There will be an Add Friend button on any other users page. Please let me know if you have any issues.
StatCraft seems pretty bug free now, so I'm going to focus on adding some features over the next couple weeks. Seems categories and more graphs/stats are the biggest request so I'll focus on that.
Here are some of the ideas/requests I have: Map specific stats Matchup specific stats APM over time Date specific stats (so you can see your winrate on a particular day) Opponent stats (View a list of opponents and your winrates against them) Categories (Not sure how to implement this yet)
If anyone has any other ideas feel free to request em. I'm always open to making changes the community likes. I do apologize updates are slow, having a real job sucks sometimes. Haha.
Thanks for all the support, it means a lot. :D

Hey just a question and a concern, Statcraft is taking really really long to upload my stuff i upload after each game i play. Sometimes it goes to the dashboard like it uploaded and it doesn't. Or if it does it now usually doesnt upload the rank of the player aswell thanks.
|
It seems to be working fine now. Are you still having the issue? I think it may have been related to SC2Ranks.com. They provide they player data, such as ranks, and it would explain the lag and lack of data.
I'll keep an eye on it regardless, thanks. Hopefully that's the last of it.

Season 8 is now live!
Season 8 is now live. As usual any games you upload will automatically be parsed into the proper season based on the date played. So feel free to upload any remaining season 7 or prior games and it will all work as you'd expect.
There will be some slight tweaking to the season start times based on regions as Blizzard rolls them out separately, so if you see a discrepancy please let me know and I can adjust. It's tough to nail down since Blizzard doesn't announce an exact time.
New Feature - Opponent Statistics
I've added a new page to show off your winrate against each opponent. So you can now see how many times you've played each player and how well you are doing against them.
This will show more useful stats for Master and GM players, as well as players who play in a lot of tournaments. I hope it's still interesting for everyone though. I think it's a cool stat, especially for friends that play a lot of custom 1v1 together. Or perhaps you have a rival in your league you wish to dominate.
You can see an example here: http://www.statcraft.net/scii/opponent/1
As always, thanks for all the support and nice comments. I do apologize for the lack of updates lately. I'm a slacker Diablo 3 is partially to blame... haha
More updates soon. Coding this one gave me some renewed spark and I got a few ideas and fixes I want to get in.
|
Don't worry, it still works great. New features aren't really required as it would simply start to overlap with SC2 gears. Thanks!
|
My intention is never to really compete with SC2Gears. I see it as we offer a similar product to a different type of user. StatCraft is intended to have a community aspect so you can share your games, stats, and progress with your friends. SC2Gears is an incredibly powerful tool, but is intended solely for personal use.
I really should add a kind of commenting and +1/like system in next to give it more of a community.
I plan to keep the updates going for a long time. I've been disappointed in the past when projects I like dropped off because the dev lost interest. Luckily I love StarCraft and expect to keep updating StatCract well throughout HOTS and beyond.
|
If you want a community aspect (as you're obviously going for) then it'll need the option to download replays and vote on them as well. Currently I know several others who use the site, but none of us network together with it at all, we just use it as a SC2 gears with a better interface, while also using SC2 gears occasionally. I like knowing the win rates for maps and matchups, obviously, but it would be nice to be able to see popular map vetoes and other features that would make more sense for a social network.
|
I'm a big fan of the fact that this is stored online, so I can check up on my results no matter where I might be. Convenience is key!
The community aspect you're still working on, but it's great when I can see others I know playing more frequently and cheer them on as they improve. It also lets me know that I really haven't played nearly as much as I would have liked recently ...
|
I really want to try this, however when I try to register I get the error: "could not open socket"

Hmm that's odd. I get it too, looking into this now.
Edit: Looks like it's an issue with some settings my host changed that are breaking the recaptcha. If they don't resolve it quickly I'll code a quick work around to disable the captcha. I'm going to give it a few as the last time I disabled the captcha I got thousands of bot sign ups.
Really sorry for this problem.
|
And fixed!
Seems my host changed a setting (fopensocket for you php folk) and that broke the captcha from calling home to verify if it was correct. They've fixed the issue so it should be gone now.
Sorry about that.
|
Thanks for fixing it The site is awesome, I have to get my friends to sign up as well. One thing I noticed is that when I batch uploaded my replays the date in the dashboard said the upload date and not the date when the game was actually played (its correct when you click on the game).
|
The reason I did this is because it was very confusing before. Say you uploaded some replays from a few seasons ago, they wouldn't appear in your list in the expected spot (recent) as it went by date played. So for the feed I decided to display them in the order they were uploaded and just display the played date as well. Hope that makes sense.
Glad you like the site, and I do appreciate you spreading the word to your friends. :D Thanks!
|
Is there anyway to delete a replay once you've uploaded? I accidentally uploaded a couple games vs a computer when I was just practicing my build..

Got it. Thanks!

I'll see about adding that to a more obvious spot. You are right its not very apparent you can delete games.

Patch 1.5 broke my replay parser.
Working on a fix asap. Site still works, just some data (like APM) is missing. Hopefully I can get it resolved soon. Remember you can always edit any game on the game or history page to add any missing data.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Was gonna tell you that, thanks bud. I donated 10 dollars before, will look into donating more. I use it every time i play . I think a good feature would be to see your overall win rate for that day. I know you can click map stats and it tells you the season and overall. Maybe you can implement for the day. So it would be like
06/16/12
ZvT: 3-0 ZvP:1-2 ZvZ:0-3 Overall : 4-5
6/17/12
ZvT: 1-0 ZvP 1-0 ZvZ: 1-0 Overall 3-0
i think ity would be a cool feature i always count my wins for the date to see what i am and match ups.
Either way love the site.
EDIT: a forum and commenting system, to make it more homey and a community feeling would be cool also.
|
Thanks for the quick fix, does not work for me yet, but I guess it just needs to refresh the profile. As feature requests go, I would like another pie chart (or hover information) on the opponent distribution into leagues and how many games I've played against each league. Thanks for the good work
|
Hmm, still not working Do we need to delete and re-upload the affected replays (and if so, is there a batch/multi-select delete function)?
|
Sadly the error lies in the library I was using to parse replays. phpsc2replay.
Because I didn't make this fixing it hasn't been easy. I've spoken with the dev about it and he is working on it now. No eta on completion sadly.
I wish I had better news but for now we just have to wait. This is honestly something I had been worried about for a while with HOTS coming and major changes likely to happen with the way replays are stored. It came a bit sooner it seems.
Hopefully a fix will be ready soon. For now you will just need to edit the games to add the missing data yourselves.
Really sorry about this. While it out of my control I feel really terrible this has happened : (
|
This needs way more attention !
I'm really looking forward to comments and wallposts. The only thing this site is lacking is the social component, also a layout similiar to "battlelog" (battlefield 3) would be cool, maybe even with chat ?
Other cool features would be a way to find teams or create tournaments.
|
I have a coach, and I can see this as a perfect way to share my replays with him. I made an account instantly :D
|
Thanks : )
I agree it badly needs more of a social aspect. I'll work on adding that once these 1.5 issues are solved.
I will also be adding a way to download replays soon as well so you can more easily share games.
|

You should get in touch with skeldark (He's working on the MatchMaking Rating SC2Gears Plugin), he wrote a custom Bnet Replay parser and it's already working with 1.5 for quite some time.

A fix will finally be up later today! :D
|
Tanag, sounds good

Everything but APM should be working again! Finally!
APM graphs are still busted. A fix for them is in the works.
I am so so soooo sorry about the delay on this. I feel terrible Please let me know if any other problems arise.
I have some updates coming soon. I had planned to wait for the S8 launch, but if it isn't announced soon I'll just try and finish this all up ahead of time.

Season update will be coming later tonight, along with some other tweaks and fixes.
As usual you may still upload games as normal and they will automatically be placed in the proper season once the update goes live.

Known Bugs The season tabs stretch to a new line on some browsers. A fix will be coming soon!

Thanks for the update, just wanted to point out that there is some kind of bug with the avatar you pull from SC2Ranks, it's been showing a wrong avatar for me since the beginning, and its the same for a friend of mine (I have the skank avatar [Left2Die Mission achievement] and he has the Diablo 3 themed Zergling).
Also how are the additional social features coming along?
|
I noticed a small bug with the season tracking for new season games. Game I played this morning (Season 9) lists under season 8. I played it around 9 am PST today, right after the season change.

You can click on the edit button for the respective games on the game history tab. Though a batch delete feature would be great (checkboxes for the win).

Thanks for the heads up. That's an oversight on my part. I forgot to update the actual avatar images when new ones were added. Oops!
Social features are coming along well. The biggest stumbling block has been implementing a sort of inbox so you can see when a user has interacted with you. It's nearly done though, here is a preview :D

This is on my todo list as well as a delete button right on the history page. I'll try and get it out sooner rather than later.

Update Adjusted Season 9 start time Added banner on profiles of users that helped in the beta Added missing avatar icons from recent SC2 updates and Diablo 3 CE

Season 5 update will be coming tomorrow, with a little update that renames all the seasons to the new naming scheme. Sorry for the small delay, this snuck up on me as I've had a busy month and haven't laddered much.
As usual any game you play will automatically be moved to the proper season after the update occurs.
I would like to announce something as well!
100% of donations for November will go towards the Movember Charities "MOVEMBER (THE MONTH FORMERLY KNOWN AS NOVEMBER) IS A MOUSTACHE GROWING CHARITY EVENT HELD DURING NOVEMBER EACH YEAR THAT RAISES FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR MEN'S HEALTH."

You can learn more here: http://ca.movember.com/about/
As usual you will still get a fancy donator badge on your profile for other StatCraft members to see. ![[image loading]](http://www.statcraft.net/assets/images/Donator.png)
Happy Laddering!

Season 11 is now live. Apologies for the delay, I've been playing HOTS lately and did not notice the season change. Oops!
Any games you've played already will be automatically inserted into the proper seasons based on the date played.

umm whats going on with statcraft? the maps havent been updated since like 3 seasons ago... the current season isnt available either. i usually enter my games manually but looks like i'll have to make an excel doc or something now..

Sorry MateShade. I plan to have everything fixed this weekend.
The HoTS update broke the API I was using to parse the data. Sadly the creator of the API abandoned the project. I'm working the the creator of SC2Gears now to get everything fixed this weekend.
Once again I'm really sorry for the delay. I really wanted to get everything ready on launch day.
|
Season 12 Support is now live on Statcraft. I apologize for the delay. As usual games will move to the appropriate season based on the time they were played. I have also updated the map pool for the Add Game page. HoTS support should be complete in another day or two. I apologize for the wait but the new replay format really broke a lot.

Can you guys also do a plugin for sc2gears to auto upload the replays?
