EPTEdit: So apparently on (some?) of the newly introduced maps, the button to leave has been changed to Quit, while on the older maps, the Surrender option is still available. This seems to be the only variable.

btw i would say, that blizz should have a safetyquestion like" do you really want to surrender, nub?", so i dont accidentaly surrender while i was about to pause the game. LOL I have done this before too! Totally sucks, now EVERY time I press F10 I make sure I drop my APM like 100 :-D | ||

When you lose, the button hotkey is N (for surrender, makes sense). When you win, the button hotkey is Q. Why might Blizzard do something along the lines of this? It prevents people from accidentally surrendering against opponents who try chat tricks or pause-leavegame tricks. If you see an "error message" or fake "player has left the game", this could prevent you from accidentally quitting. Again, this is just a theory. I haven't played enough games to confirm or deny any of the speculations in this thread. | ||

F10 + Q and F10 + N, and only after the patch did I ever have to Quit (rather than Surrender) a game that was still going on. And this happens for me on ladder games, as that's all I play. | ||

They were not at the beginning of WC3. Eventually they added the option to turn them to 'always on', but a long time you had to *hold* the ALT key to get that effect. I remember still holding ALT for a while even though I had that option enabled, just out of habit. | ||

I have noticed this since the blue flame patch, though it might be be related to the ladder reset and the new map pool - i.e. the new maps are coded (badly) in such a way as to prompt Q instead of N/S upon players leaving. However I have not done research into this to confirm it any further... It's fairly low on my list of priorities. | ||

 I can see why the new maps are F10 + Q, maybe blizzard just didn't think of it, but I don't see the reasoning behind actually having different hotkeys for quitting in replays/games, I don't THAT is a mistake from blizzard but that they actually thought that "this is a good idea". I don't see the point :S | ||
