Maybe this has been brought up before, but has Blizzard recently changed the button to leave a multiplayer game? Before the "blue flame icon" patch I would always type gg then F10 -> N instantly to surrender (as N is the hotkey). However now after the patch if I mistype gg (putting a single g or hitting some nearby letter), then the new surrender button is now "Quit" and requires the hotkey Q, thus not allowing me to smoothly F10 -> N out of the game. Yet if I properly type the gg then I can "Surrender" as normal. New blizzard manner initiative or am I just seeing things?

Edit: So apparently on (some?) of the newly introduced maps, the button to leave has been changed to Quit, while on the older maps, the Surrender option is still available. This seems to be the only variable.

I believe in 1v1's it's surrender but in everything else it's quit. Maybe that's the difference?

I think it depends on the map, I've noticed it before too. On the newer, recently added maps, you need to press q for quit.

The new maps don't offer the standard buttons. We talked about it briefly in this thread. The consensus was it was pretty lame. Old maps should still follow the old F10 -> N pattern. It doesn't have to do with typing gg or anything as far as I know.

Ah well that sounds more reasonable. I just tried to find a pattern where the button randomly turned to quit instead of the beloved surrender =)

Everyone was baffled. We can only hope Blizzard quickly realizes this oversight and corrects it. It's super annoying as it stands. Glad to have helped. :D

btw i would say, that blizz should have a safetyquestion like" do you really want to surrender, nub?", so i dont accidentaly surrender while i was about to pause the game.

LOL I have done this before too! Totally sucks, now EVERY time I press F10 I make sure I drop my APM like 100 :-D

I noticed this as well, Blizz needs to fix. Now I guess I'll just press gg-> N+Q at the same time.

You can pause the game by hitting the Pause\Break key on your keyboard. Cool huh?

This has been bothering me also - right after i loose a game and nothing was going the way i planned and i am full of rage there is one more thing to tip me over the top - F10-N doesnt seem to work always. I dont know what the criteria for it working is though since it does seem to work sometimes and sometimes it doesnt

I've been going f10--N in all maps. Only time I've had to go f-10 q is when watching replays.
