RootPrincess/SixjaxMajor caught smurfing in tourny - Page 17

Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway. Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please.

Just because it dosen't say Sixjax-Major on the account name dosent mean you suddently get hack super powers and beat everyone(I'm sure MeatyOwlLegs(i think it was naniwa's smurf) competed in tourneys). Just to be clear, he was not playing on his own account. He was using the account of someone else who was participating in the tournament. That's much worse than smurfing. The point of the tourney is not to give someone some money but to get the name of the sponsors out and give entertainment to the viewers. There were no sponsors. The money came from my own pocket. I've already explained the point of the tournament, please stop trying to argue otherwise. People like you who only care about 1st place prize and being overall drama queens just to stir s**t up is what is going wrong with the sc2 community at the moment. This is true irony.

If incontrol did this, would you suddenly hate Idra and Machine and the rest of EG? Well, that might a bad example, because people already overreacted and hated the whole of EG when their sponsors blocked Incontrol from being the host of a show that directly potentially directly conflicted with their interests. But, you know, big bad business. So Major broke the rules, but that's not Sixjax's fault. Fuck Major, he broke explicit rules. It's not even like he found a vague piece of the rules and lawyered his way into it. No, he just said "Fuck it" and tried to sneak his way in. Well, fuck him. No need to light torches and gather the pitchforks. Fuck him, but that's it. Easy enough. But just as you wouldn't blacklist all of Team Liquid because of that stupid, dumbass overreaction to MLG drama with Ret, (I'm comparing on a community-perceived, no matter how completely retarded, moral outrage. I'm not actually making equals of them. Cheating in a tournament when playing tournaments is basically your job is just plain stupid beyond reason. Ret did nothing wrong, but the community thought he did.), you shouldn't blacklist all of Sixjax. Major is a member and a representative of Sixjax, his behavior reflects on his team who chose to front him as a player . THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF BEING ON A TEAM AS A PRO PLAYER.

I've spent nearly $2,000 of my own money and countless weekends since the SC2 Beta was launched in support of eSports. What have you contributed?

I just feel sorry for all those who got knocked out of the tournament by this douche and are left wondering how far they would have gotten if someone hadn't come in and broken the rules. Also, really people? SEA doesn't matter because it has less high level players? You could say the same thing about NA compared to EU, or EU compared to KR. Grow up, people.

Never been fond of Major and this just cements it. I already avoid supporting him by not following his stream. However, the extremely lackluster response by Sixjax management saddens me. I will no longer support any Sixjax members by following their streams. If Sixjax management feels these types of actions are "small potatoes" then perhaps they can be made to reconsider if their players begin losing the income gained by streaming or coaching. There are plenty of skilled players out there, guys. If you don't approve of someone's actions, do something about it.

If blizzard had a tourney that offered free t-shirts as prizes or if korean players didn't have the sponsors to have their players practice 24/7, you think we'll be able to see the same level of play? On the issue, it's obvious that MajOr was wrong. He already clarified that with Dox, and with that knowledge tried to circumvent the rules. If there was a contract, he'd be in for fraud. Sixjax's handling of the scenario is also less than noteworthy. Evoli basically said that the SEA market is unimportant to the gaming community. No apology forthcoming, even from coach Artosis. What they are saying is: "Look this is unimportant. Let's sweep it all under the carpet and forget about it." Basically, he's going DTs and hoping his opponent doesn't build turrets/raven AFTER scouting his dark shrine. Tastosis calls that stupidity. Anyway same logic applies to all those like-minded to evoli: sixjax as a sponsor/team pales in comparison to other companies. And sixjax is not bigger than the sea community. And because of this, I guarantee you, in today's globalised society, no one from SEA will go to sixjax and buy from their auction site because they've just associated themselves (even justified) with dishonest behaviour. Would you go to bank that has an openly dishonest bank teller? Would you even support the bank at all, seeing that, even after the teller got caught, the bank just reinstated without any form of punishment? How much do you trust the decisions of a manager or coach after he/she lets this kind of behaviour slide? I'm a big fan of Artosis (don't get me wrong). It might not have been his place to comment. But Sixjax evoli (i'm assuming he's the manager) saying that the situation is "small potatoes" is not the way to go. As it happens, Evoli did apologise, but actions speak louder than words - he should suspend MajOr for a while, impose a fine or do something in lasting memory to ensure that such stupidity doesn't happen again.

The best player skill wise would've won the tourney so nobody can complain as he didn't use any cheats. Now to let myself be clear: location dosent matter for tourneys as long as you have a account. It's retarded to make a tourney and not let anyone enter. The point of the tourney is not to give someone some money but to get the name of the sponsors out and give entertainment to the viewers. How better to do that than to get really good players competiting and providing good games? People like you who only care about 1st place prize and being overall drama queens just to stir s**t up is what is going wrong with the sc2 community at the moment. Dumbest post of the thread award. You won. Congratulations.

Nor is anyone suggesting that we blacklist SJ. But Major should definitely be punished or disciplined by his own team for his deplorable behaviour, because it will reflect badly on the team that he is representing.
