Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway. Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please.

Developing the SEA scene isn't that important lol. im sorry to say this, but im not surprised it came from someone from USA. User was warned for this post

I was moreso looking for a prize value which would constitute a "big deal." Are you aware that the majority of the top players on SEA currently hold high ranks in the NA GrandMaster League? What makes our region so inferior, out of curiosity? Nothing actually, people just like to jump on Band Wagons when they hear "SEA < World" and whatnot. I don't think SEA is any worse than NA personally, maybe there is a lower saturation of top level players, but the top level players are all at the same, if not higher, caliber than many NA top level players. Don't let haters hate on you, I think that fostering the SEA scene is something that can really help and that the region as a whole will only BENEFIT from what you are doing. Keep fighting the good fight. And don't let silly 12 year old ignorance get to you :D

Let's face it, South East Asia and Oceania are behind in terms of skill and talent pool compared to Korea, Europe and North America. They needed a boost, and more people competing against each other in order to improve their skill sets (ever wondered why Taiwanese people get free SK accounts, and Australians get free NA accounts? It's because they can't find a damn game in their own country, let alone find sufficiently skilled players in the SEA/AU ladder to compete with on a timely and frequent basis.) It's just unfair of Major to do that.

If there is an incentive to be good, then people will try to reach that goal. Bigger money, means trying harder to win because you want that money in many cases. This is extrinsic motivation for players in the SEA scene to play harder. Sure, there are other motives that are less "greedy", but a combination of natural will to get better and outside factors will provide the best results. This is basic phsycology really. Don't under how people can throw an entire scene under the bus because they think that money should go else where and that there's no chance in hell that people will be better with incentive? It's almost like these are the same people that say Koreans will always be better than anything NA or EU will ever produce. Cept now they are targetting a smaller scene that some people are working hard to grow like Dox. I'm all for more competition EVERYWHERE in the world, and local tournaments is actually a good way to build that.

Do people really think that the Korean scene would be where it was without all the money they have thrown at it? REALLY? How else do you have a professional sport? I don't know too many professional athletes that don't do it for the money to some degree. If the money wasn't there, then people wouldn't play. DURRR User was warned for this post

Artosis is a great caster but being associated with this sore on the face of the community is rather disconcerting. Who is captain/manager of sixjax? have they given a statement on this? or is sixjax just some ragtag group of kids that don't even have management.

As FXOtgun is registered that means there was no skill cap on registering for the tournament. So the only problem was location, which nobody cares about. Overall you are just trying to stir stuff up and I see that its somewhat working... a shame that the community just jumps the band wagon to write c**p about some people for something that dosen't really matter. He did cheat. Have you ever read the thread? He played the tournament, knowing he is not eligible to participate. Location was not the problem, it was the entry requirement of needing to be a SEA citizen. "something doesn't really matter" is probably one of these reasons he told himself too, unfortunately, "something doesn't really matter" actually matters? Honestly, if FXOtgun is registered, it clearly shows they do care about the SEA citizenship part, doesn't it?

What people outside of our region fail to recognise, is that without an incentive, passion can only carry you so far. Eventually the inevitable and frustrating feeling of pointlessness kicks in and people retire. This has been a recurring theme in Australia for the last 11 years. So giving people a reason to practice, improve and compete is the stimulant to building a strong player base. Without MLG and NASL, I dare say the North American scene would be significantly less competitive. Players will often only commit to something when they have a goal in sight. And just to repeat an earlier statement - I have every intention of including international players in the next Dox Cup. This one was just to gauge the interest of the SEA region.

Or you could take the other side and say "play better". But honestly, the rules are the rules. Any more of these kind of antics and he's going to be known as the Eddie Guerrero of the Starcraft community. "Lie, Cheat, Steal"
