Can two versions of StarCraft II be installed on the same pc? I have US version installed and am going to install Taiwan version. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Is there anyway to get the Taiwanese client to accept Korean characters? When I go to type in my player name it won't seem to allow any characters outside of Chinese or Latin. I was hoping to put a Korean name in anticipation of the server merger. Also, is there anyway to have the game installed in another language? I'd love to be playing with the korean sounds.

Been playing on TW, bout 30 games in. After 20 games have gotten only GM players (went like 18-2 or something with 2 pvp losses). Kind of funny, I did my placement matches, won all 5, and was placed in platinum. So now i'm tearing up these tw GM players and if they look at my stats I look like some scrub. Kind of funny. The top tw GM's seem quite even to NA GM players. Played 3 or 4 top 50 and 6 or 7 top 150 so far, It's just how I feel about them so far. Got 52 points for my first gm win. I'm actually really shocked the ranking system pairs platinum players with GM hidden MMR or not I feel that's kinda broken. Nothing but GM for the past 12 or so games, sure there is the ladder lock but really? I'd rather just bash some masters or plat players for these last few days >.> . Never heard of StorM before playing a variety of their players on the ladder. They're pretty damn good. I feel many of these tw players open sub-optimally from the rest of the world. Every gm pvz ive played the Z opens some like no gas spanishiwa (14p 16h?) style but without the extra queens and mass spinecrawler. Plus they take a real quick third (30 supply usually). I dont know how they get away with it, I can kill the expo with 3gate pressure after 2 warpins off 28/28 gates, or open 2gate voidray expand and get a free hatch, and sometimes straight up with with dt expand. with the 3gate expo you are vulnerable to ling counters but it's pretty map specific. perhaps they play vs forge expo every game.

I just installed the TW Starcraft 2 - unfortunately, I'm having a bit of lag there (about 1 to 2 ingame seconds before the unit does what i told it to) - my internet connection is a good one (65mb down, 5,5mb up) but still im having these issues ![]() for all the other ppl from germany: if you dont have someone to confirm that it's not lagging I would recommend you dont buy the game, coz it's unplayable (esp. PvP is not playable with 0 opportunity to micro your units....) - I really hope someone here has a trick/pointer on how to reduce the lag ![]()

Yes for me they are and all use same password and authentication. Only thing I can think is check your time and date are right on your PC because that can cause issues with SC2. Other that that can't provide much help unless you can screenshot what pops up when you enter password ect.

Edit: Tracert from here to us.battle.net is about 183ms and to kr.battle.net is 343ms so that could be a problem ![]()

I just patched my EU client and now it's saying "You must restart your game client and patch to the latest version before playing a multiplayer game". My repair.exe doesnt work, either.. says: 22:30:41.6270 Failed to find version '1.3.5.19132' for product 'SC2' in the repair configuration. I assume this is because it patched my TW client and something messed up? Perhaps in Documents ? Anyone else has the same problem? Redownloading the EU client, gonna try to reinstall (and then my TW client probably wont work.. lol) Edit: To answer another above, I have ~350ms I'd say.. a good .3 second delay that makes it hard to micro, but its not unplayable. (From Denmark) I had the same issue. I had to reinstall my English client + patch it back up all the way to make it work again. Got gold leauge on Taiwan, lost my last ZvZ placement. Lag is pretty huge for me, about 300-400ms but it's certainly playable. ZvZ however kinda sucks ![]() I'm just hoping I can use the Korean client to login to TW later and get a Korean nickname ![]()

Works on Windows 7, dont know about older platforms: Open regedit.exe Find the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\StarCraft II.exe\shell\open\command (Search for Starcraft if you want) Modify (Default) REG_SZ to the Starcraft II.exe of your original installation (should have changed to your Taiwanese installation) Run Repair.exe You should now be able to play again ![]() Edit: vaan258 -> try logging into tw.battle.net
