But yeah, just because Blizz is in the right "legally" doesn't make it ok or any less absurd.

There are several thousand people on the server I play on, so there are lots of people to play with and befriend. But as an American who have moved to Europe etc and want to play with his American friends i can see its is a problem. But then you can buy another account or play another game. The EU server obviously contains people from more countries than any other. But the world is still bigger than that. It's nonsense to say you can buy another account. We have all known that for like a year now. But you shouldn't have to, it's money in the toilet.

this is pretty ridiculous, no one would've even cared or really paid attention to the account sharing if blizzard hadn't tried to make it an issue i also wonder how long until blizzard realizes that it hasn't exactly been scoring points with its users for the past while now blizz used to be my favorite company, but its been on a downward spiral for awhile, this just adds to it

This is like a cop going after some innocent kids jaywalking across a completely empty street with no cars on the road. That's a pretty good analogy. Problem is, in my city they broke down on jaywalking this one certain month and gave out hundreds of tickets. They don't really enforce it now, but this one month they handed out tons of tickets for jaywalking and everyone heard about it. Now there are less people that jaywalk.

Imo, if all they wanted was for the account sharing to not be publicised to tens of thousands of people on stream then that's perfectly fine for Blizzard: after all it is against the ToS. They didn't even ban, just warned. The account sharing itself while on stream was completely unnecessary: Huk could simply have changed back to his own account for the actual games instead of using TLO's, and casually breaking ToS and showing a bad example to many viewers. On top of that, Huk boosting TLO to rank 1 Grandmaster, evidently where he does not belong considering his previous placement undermines ladder, which is used for tournamnet invites. Of course, the fact that Huk can't get a game on his own account is a problem Blizzard needs to fix, but what they did was completely understandable in the circumstances, and this whole thread has blown the whole thing out of proportion.

No LAN means no 3rd party servers where people would go for competitive integrity that Blizzard can't* guarantee on their ladder. No cross realm is a reason people might share accounts who aren't sponsored and can throw money away on accounts for multiple regions. A badly designed ladder is why HuK logged onto TLO's account in the first place. And yet Blizzard's first recourse is to treat its customers like retarded dragoons. If these problems didn't exist, we wouldn't witness things like this. That's why they're related. But, hasn't ICCup started the process of making its own SC2 server? Have they gotten in trouble for it?

That's why they're related. understandable that Starcraft is a full-fledged community and not just Blizzard so sometimes problems are addressed by that community, but a public violation of the ToS by such prominent members of said community couldn't have gone unpunished. Blizzard has their integrity, as well as the integrity of their ladder to protect so they threatened punishment, knowing full well that the players and fans would hear about it, and then rescinded their threat to a mere warning so to get their message out there. I think that looking at the situation, Blizzard handled it very strategically.

I see nothing wrong with treating the players that make this game what it is like this. Blizzard knows best.

That Huk cannot play ladder games on his account is a separate issue, and should not be mixed up with the account sharing issue. Yes, it is bad that Huk cannot play games, and Blizzard should fix this as soon as possible. Edit: Final note: That Blizzard called them to warn them beforehand was actually a nice gesture.
