What would be super interesting is if someone translated our reactions of their reactions, got their reactions to our reactions, and then translated it back to English for us to see. I don't think they are claiming him as their own in the sense you are thinking of. He lives and trains in Korea the same as they do, he differs completely from foreigners. The only thing different between Huk and the Koreans right now is skin color and language, everything else is the same.

A korean fails to win at this kind of tournament..... it's so shocking TT" "Moon, why u no macro game? TT" "It's just frustrating. If he went for macro games in games 4 & 5, he would've had more than 50/50 chance to win. However, he went for useless all-ins twice in a row and gave it away." "Ahhh my, Moon...... You made it 2-1 with macro games... So why the hell are you doing 2 all-ins in a row? TT sob TT" "Sigh... It's my fault for actually expecting something. What was that? Damn it, Nestea should've went." "They're really emphasising that he's a canadian.... it leaves a little bitter aftertaste... We could be just fellow SC2 gamers..... Still, even as a korean, I was getting worried about the korean domination in these tournaments. Most importantly though, HuK did well!" "Still.. HuK is in the GSL.... TT He's half a korean progamers.... TT It's better than IdrA or Naniwa winning......... Ahhh... how do I console myself?" "It's happens. Also, HuK is a GSL-leaguer and he's not active in the foreign scene so I don't really get the reaction TT. Still, it's fun to see a non-korean compete with a korean and take the win. If we won everything, there would be little point in watching" "Well played HuK" "I hope this serves as a good stimulant for korean players" Thanks .

A korean won dreamhack. A bit like when IdrA won MLG DC. IdrA is not as korean as he used to be but he's still a product of the korean regiment just like huk is.

"Wow seems like the Korean Flag means automatic win" I was thinking the same thing every time I refreshed the bracket.

It seems that the debate about Huk's role in the scene never ends, even over there in Korea. It's lovely to see Korean reactions to foreign events.

Here's one: "Just like a Spaniard led Barcelona to the European Cup! Huk learned the basics of SC/SC2 in NA, but refined it to Championship status in Korea vs. superior competition. Similarly, Nowitzki learned to shoot jumpers in Europe, but mastered Iso/low post in the NBA vs. superior competition. One can argue the Messi analogy to be flawed because he spent his whole youth in the Barca system, and so he plays a Spanish style of soccer. That would give credibility to those Koreans who claim Huk as their own, if Huk never played Starcraft before and was just thrown into a Korean house. Then people would have a point in saying he's "Korean".
