So getting koreans to come to their event, having the fan favorite casting archon come to cast, as well as having 2 SC2 streams along with completely hiring a new streaming team is nothing? Jeez, how self entitled or ignorant can you be. Assuming they fixed everything is pretty ignorant as well. Don't pay for something you can't try before you buy, IMO. I won't be paying for an event until they have one run smoothly.

I voted "other" I already pay for GSL, and that has the best competition, the best commentary and the best production, it's also the better value with a whole months worth of games + spoiler free Vods for $10. If I had more money I'd probably get MLG and NASL as well, but I can't really afford to spend all my money on SC streams.

They should be making money from ad revenue not from the fans. eg. every sport except UFC. Ad's do not make that much money. It only works on TV because they have millions of viewers. Tourneys like IPL with free HD stream actually lost money. Well then they're doing it wrong. If there are individual gamers who can stream for 4k viewers and make money from JTV then why can't a tournament with 50k viewers? It might actually work better since casters won't have to ramble on for 5 minutes between games while they set up the next one, they can just set it up during the commercial break.

You're seriously trying to compare something that costs essentially nothing for one guy to run from his house to an event where you have to hire an entire convention centre, pay out thousands in prizemoney, set up dozens of computers, pay casters, organisers, etc etc... ?

And with the "Free coloumbus pass for dallas buyers" I'm all set! Granted, if they mess this up, that's it I guess. I'd rather hype myself up and have a great time, and maaaaybe be disapointed. Instead of assuming it's going to be horrible. Dallas was the third MLG event in a row with similar issues. It was promised that it was all going to be better for Dallas. In fact, it was infinitely worse in Dallas. We don't actually know what MLG has done yet, so far they have made promises. I want this event to be great but this history warrants some skepticism. Has nothing to do with 'butthurt'.

MLG have had more issues than any other tournament and as long as they continue that tradition I see no point in buying a pass, oh yeah ungrateful me for not throwing money at people shitting in my cereal. No hes saying free people should get compensation. I mean cmon I don't think people realise how hard those people worked to bring us a stream regardless if was HD or not and sure it had problems but I'm sure they felt just as pissed as we were. I can understand people not wanting to pay because of the faults last time but looking for compensation when you didn't even pay in the first place is just plain greedy.

Yes. That's unbelievably stupid. How can somebody with an actual brain inside their head not realize that a guy streaming his ladder games has no expenses and MLG might have to spent a dollar on two on location, casters, players and a shit ton of other stuff?

if the stream consistency improves, then i will definitely think about it. are VODs included with the package? if so, then i'd probably buy it 100% if the stream proves stable.

I'd buy and HD pass for the TL thread that automatically refreshes though. No more need to refresh to check wether the cat wll make it. With an eagle stream above it. I'm kind of put off by the last showing, and missing most of it due to being in Europian timezones will make sure there won't be any money from me sent to them.

You guys keep talking like thats their only source of income. If that was the case MLG would be canceled after what happened in Dallas.
