This is a frothy entertainment show, lighten up. Who cares if they laugh at a stupid question, and i bet the people complaining about them not taking the show "seriously" enough are the same people complaining SOTG is now boring. Some people complain no matter what.

One of the biggest draws besides tourneys was the leaderboard, but sadly modders and glitchers got the better of that. It was fun for a while though, since it was always me or telix on top (: Anyways, if you want to get to a new high round let me know, but its been a good year since i actually played.

I think it's partially because prize pools have DECREASED over the past 10 years instead of increasing (like you'd think they would with growth. The prize pools we saw in 2002-2006 were sick compared to what's being handed out now. Rightfully so, when the whole scene goes through a rough patch... it makes quite a bit of sense that organizations awarding this prize money would increase it over time. Which sucks for the players, but is probably much better for the stability of these organizations.

However, we're also not going to half-ass some solution, so we're taking a Blizzard stance: "We'll get call screening when we're ready". Obviously none of us can call screen and do the show at the same time, so it means we have to get another body involved (on top of a technology solution).

We are not at a black tie event or something. We are in the midst of a boot camp where people are shouting around us and asking us for autographs etc... it's relaxed, fun and casual. We will have these episodes AND we will have episodes where greg and I are sitting at our progamer house dressed and focused. Enjoy both please! bad questions, good questions.. who cares? Enjoy the interaction/content and it's good! That isn't to say there isn't room for improvement/constructive criticism but some idiot saying he almost called just to tell me to "stfu" or w/e is dumb and not needed. If you REALLY have that attitude then please avoid shows I do.. I am who I am and if that is bad for you then be rational and stop attending my events. I was hoping this show will be different from SotG. But since you obviously laugh at IdrA's concern with imbalance I'm starting to think this is going to be another SotG. Aside from the mocking around I'd rather if you took the time to find a quiet place in the area or just didn’t do the show at all. A lot of shouting, echoes and such. On the topic of maps, I'm amazed that after all the experience with SC:BW they almost said to them selves "let's make SC2 maps even more space-constricting and allow Protoss to constrict it some more. Maps were bad and are getting even worse. I honestly understand IdrA when it comes to exaggerating his concerns, it must be extremely frustrating. More to the point, it’s not getting any better and I don’t expect Blizzard to suddenly start considering players’ ideas.

Pro players have some different maps than what is on ladder. The ladder should not have to conform to the super small percent of pros but should work for the majority of all SC2 players. Pros can have an opinion on the map pool, and can say the maps are bad, but should not say that they are bad for them to practice on.

Could be me, but if someone else can confirm that would be great. I just used the raw jtv vod. Mr. Graham you're a boss that you do it this way, so people can watch it almost instantly after it's finished. And in sweet HD for the people who want eyecandy via Blip.

I think a more worrying problem is that I don't see a single Zerg making into code S (maybe Leenock) and so far it has been 4/4 Terrans. I think slowly, the Terran race will take over the GSL, despite being on maps considered bad for Terran. What's even more concerning on top of that is Blizzard's reasoning for getting rid of Metalopolis was that it was TOO GOOD for Zerg. -.-

i for one am happy that prize money isnt super huge in every tourney but those tourneys like mlg seem to be stable and thats far more important than a 100000000 prize pool and as long as the competition in those tourneys is top notch too as a spectator i really dont care.

I thought it was good to remove it because it's old and it's time. Zerg imba is pretty ridiculous, especially since it has close spawns on ladder.

Sorry for hijacking the direction of conversation, just thought I'd provide you their statement. + Show Spoiler + Overall balance has also proven to be an issue on Metalopolis -- even factoring in close position spawn issues. It’s among the least balanced maps currently in the ladder pool, and along with Scrap Station (also being removed) and Tal’darim Altar, has a heavy (60%+) bias toward zerg at the highest levels of play.
