First game was ZvP. I skipped practice leauge ![]() Long story short, I was 1 base Zerg 25 minutes in the game with 12 drones, 3 macro hatcheries, 2 queens, 1 hydralisk, 2 lings, 1 muta, 1 ultralisk, 1 broodlord, and 1 corrupter. Oh, and 4 overseers. Then he attacked for the first time with dts and stalkers and I lost. Then I went 2-3 and placed silver. One game I won was against a superfast thor rush with 7 scvs (created, including the initial 6...), and the other was my bronze friend telling me what to do... =_= I played about 20 games as mostly Protoss, including a game where I double scv rushed! I mostly stuck to 1 base chargelot. I called 4-gaters "hackers". Then I made an amazing Protoss strategy where I would 1 gate FE with only zealots. I mainly played plat 3v3 and plat 4v4. I bmed people that rushed me. Then I started mass expanding while going mostly every single tech tree. I almost crushed a plat Zerg, but my micro was awful... A few months later, I got gold. I could easily beat high plat, but my morale issues prevented me from doing better than 38-18 season 2. I started making innovative strategies like trinuke and some crazy marine oriented builds. Season three, I went 1 gate robo immortal rush expand and lost to 7RR, and placed plat! I have gone 1-1 since then...

Right before the patch arrived I had a terrible losing streak, so I wasn't instantly promoted to Master League after my first ladder game. It actually took me a while, but getting to Master League somehow motivated so much that I went on a pretty insane streak, 23-4 or something. The last 15 games of said streak consisted of getting matched vs master league players only, so I was starting to wonder if I was bugged or something. Eventually I got promoted though and have been a mediocre master player ever since. Now I'm playing on different account which went the standard placement => Diamond => Masters route without much of a fuss about it. I'm playing on and off so I'm pretty much stuck in that position. The strange thing about me is, the more I play the worse I tend to get. When I played like 6-7 games a day I could easily maintain a 60-70% win ratio over quite some time. However, once I start to get serious and play a 20-30 game "marathon" I usually(always actually) end up in a huge losing streak. I really don't get it....

My temper is my biggest enemy in 1v1 - basically since there's none else to blame but yourself. Oh the ego. But in the last 3 seasons I've only moved forward - not a single demotion. In teams I just went pure ML, but I don't understand why. Getting promoted with teams I played approx 3 matches with in diamond and we get master league. My friend and I started together at rock bottom in the end of beta. We've spent hundreds of games 2v2'ing and figuring out funny, abusive and solid tactics. We started in silver, and we're mid masters now. That is the only team I really care about. And a 3v3 ML team with two of my RL friends - but that was just because we met complete jokes in your placement matches, and when the 'hard part' of the placement is against two ML teams that just fail cheeses.

Season 3: First placement match put me in Platinum! Another epic surprise! I am currently battling platinums and a few golds. Started Terran, placed into bronze in 1v1 and 2v2 with a good RL friend. Played some games, felt awkward as bio at the time seemed too weak for me and tanks were too slow, so I switched to Zerg. As Zerg played alot of 2v2 and some 1v1, mostly I lost in 1v1 because I didn't knew how to juggle between worker and army production, so I switched to Protoss, and climbed up the leagues while losing to so much cheese, I reached plat where I am playing crappy now and with my friend reached diamond in 2v2 due mostly to good cheese build. We both decided that we need to get better at 1v1, so here we are. I'm stuck at platinum because of stupid play and non existent micro.

I've been stuck in platinum for nearly 2 seasons on my SEA account. I was sick from work on Friday and laddered for most of the day. In the morning i won 11 straight games, and i think i went 16 - 3 for the day, and got promoted. I would have had a beer to celebrate if i wasn't sick. Need to get sick more often!

Season 1: coming off of non-macro rts I.e. Coh and Dow I was still better than a lot of people and got placed into plat. Then I hit a brick wall against much better macro players and ended the season about 55-45. Season 2: skipped entirely due to ladder fear. Didn't feel I was plat level but didn't want to be in a lower league. Season 3: played a 2v2 random team and a 1v1 and won both, but was demoted to gold in both brackets. Why don't I go up like everyone else? Been stuck in gold 1v1 ever since.

Season 2 brought with it a much tougher semester for me so I had to completely stop playing for nearly all of Season 2. When I picked back up my play at the end I had gotten SUPER rusty so I had to work my way back up to plat level skill wise on another account. Ended the season High Plat. In season 3 I finally started putting things together. I really started practicing my builds and timings and got my macro together. As an addition I took a couple lessons from Bulletproof (AMAZING Protoss coach btw). My game really took off and I started decimating not only High Plats but several low diamonds as well. Just got my promotion to Diamond and I cannot be more happy. I'm still not good but I'm at least improving slowly and I can only say that there is nothing better in the world than to improve in something you care about. Gl and Hf!

Season 2: Bronze-> Silver-> Gold Season 3: Gold -> Platinum <33333 I can't remember the actual games, but while Silver to Gold was really exciting, the Gold to Plat was NOT. I had been beating platinums for like 3 weeks before it actually promoted me. It was more like, well finally, dammit. Now I hover around 50/50 win rate so I gotta improve somehow :D but when ZvZs are 2/3 of your games and the rest are ZvPs (my weakest MU) then you end up losing a lot of stupid games. Whatever, though, I'm getting better slowly, I think :D
