What would make someone who is terrified of laddering be able to hit the find match button? does the benefit of winning and having a good game out weigh the anxiety of laddering god i hope so. i used to be mildly anxious when i played only a couple of games a day or i havn't played for a while and was anxious about my skill just disappearing overnight. I've found it completly disappeares the more games i play where it's got to the point where i actively look forward to getting on win or loose. I would make the assumpion on my exsperience that the people that are nervous and are answering yes i can hardly press the look for match button without sweating are the players who don't play alot of games day in day out and the best cure for them is just to mass games i can guarantee you will stop fealing nervous when you've pressed that button 50 times today and the worlds not imploded I actually play like 20 games a day, and I still have to step back and play CSS or something every few hours, just because I can't justify going in and potentially stalling my promotion another week. I think the biggest problem (for people in lower divisions that want to get promoted) is that laddering is so volatile, you might face (in gold) a silver or a diamond, and it seems like it just goes on forever, so someone facing a lot of plats, and maybe winning half their matches (see: me lol) might not want to keep going in, because even though the MMR says "mid plat", the league says "rank 2 gold". The second problem is that for people in low divisions, they usually cant justify customs for practice, because of two reasons. The first one is that it doesn't help get promoted (though the practice you get may make the promo easier to achieve, it just doesn't give u points like ladder does). And second, the idea that no matter how much you practice, it doesn't matter if you're stuck in the same division for a few weeks. Iunno lol, I'm already feeling trapped in gold and I've only been playing for two and a half weeks.

If I have some stressing games I feel like I need to pause some time. So, in general I get nervous within a game, but I never got as stress as in front of an exam xP

All in all I prefer custom games, I have a nice circle of friends who are around my skill level so it's no problem.

But once I get into the swing of things I can play for about 5 games by then I'm usually too pissed at the lag too play more.

I know it can be somewhat scary to play solo especially after playing some team games, but you just have to make peace with the fact that you're going to lose games, there's no shame in that and no reason to be scared...
