xD cheesing actually causes more stress for me. I've got to worry about carrying out the cheese correctly and then I have to think about transitioning out of it if it gets countered...etc. Maybe I'm thinking too much about my cheese.

I sometimes find it hard to queue up for that first game but once I get into the swing of things I churn out games. Weirdly I'll play more when I'm playing badly though which results in some terrible tilts but I'm happy at the end when I get a decent run.

For the most part I'm fine. I practice like crazy before touching a ladder match. If I start losing I back off of laddering and hit practice matches again.

i LOVE laddering... just the act of playing the game is most fun for me... plus i like it way more than custom games because you experience all types of strategies/timings that it keeps the game refreshing

Right when I purchased starcraft I wasn't nervous at all. I felt like a little kid, invincible so I do all my placement matches and get placed into gold! Cool so I get into gold with that same feeling and start going on a losing streak... 12 losses maybe before I got demoted. Ever since then I was quite scared to ladder. But now I'm in Platinum and becoming numb to the losses.

Im not directly nervous but i never have fun to play, i dont know why. When i see Sc2 streams i say to me "I want to play!!", but when i start sc2 and i see the "Find Match" Button, i dont have fun anymore i dont know why. Have anyone a good motivation to play??

I didnt ladder in this year once... I sometimes play custom maps, they are pretty decent. (diamon zerg)
I wait for Heart of the Swarm to see if they make Zerg viable again, give them some spells and units to deal with Protoss. Then I might enjoy playing again. But I feel the tsl3 has confirmed me, that Zergs have a too hard of a time and the other races look boring to me, so i don't feel like laddering at all.

Its not "i dont have fun to play" its more "I dont want to loose" and im a bit scared to lose, so i dont start a game. Costum Games against friends make so much fun but i dont feel it on the ladder u know what i mean?

i'm not going on a compliment fishing trip, really i'm not, so bear with me. but i was nervous when i first started in bronze on the ladder, but i eventually got used to it by just playing a lot. Eventually went up to silver still no nerves, but yesterday i was promoted to gold and i haven't played a game yet. i am pretty nervous, which is silly, but i just don't want to start getting rolled. ya know. you try so hard to get promoted and when it finally happens it's like damn, bye bye confidence.

if im 200/200 vs a terran i get really nervous and start shaking for some reason.

When you're in diamond you dont lose because something is imba, its because you fucked something up in your own play.
OT: I lost all nervousness while playing ladder after the first 300-400 games

I was a 3700 master last season I feel incredibly stressed when Im "trying to convince myself to play starcraft" I need to do that because there is no way I can play the game because I "want to" When I click that find game button my heart pounds and sometimes I just cancel the countdown and browse reddit or something. When I am actually in a game I feel super chill and nothing really bothers me but until I get in a match I feel very anxious.
Thats why I havent been playing for the past 2 weeks lol :D

IMO the bulk of stress just before game and in game is derived from fact that this game is freaking fast. In "fast" i mean fast-make-decisions game. Banelings roll over you - you have as much as 1 or 2 seconds to make you decision what to do, how to split your marines, retreat or not. Protos death ball, ohh shit what should i do, etc... If you want be really good you must be always concentrated on many game aspects, that is stressful factor for organism. And when you hit "Find mach" button again your brain recalls the previous feelings (stress ones) that it felt, and you feel panic, that's why it's hard for many of people to hit it. Actually it's not normal and it might lead in some health problems in the future. You better take this game as simple as just walking with friends or just don't play at all.
