After years of waiting 30+ minutes to play a half-decent DotA game and taking at least 10-15 minutes to play a game on iCCup, auto match making is so sexy.

That said, I do fall apart in a big losing streak and start playing badly, even as I keep going hoping for a "solid win". It actually makes it easy to see how pros can stress out after losing the first few games in a BoX. Slightly unrelated: I also get frustrated when I feel like messing around in a particular match-up, and I'll just get other matchups all day.

After losses I instantly hit the button for the next match (unless I'm on a huge losing streak).

This option was the most fitting for me. I usually 1v1 ladder no problem. Recently though, I had this horrible I think it was 11 game loosing streak and I just raged. Slammed my fist on the keyboard, broke a couple keys, then said fukuuuuuu dolphin! After that I went on a week long strike and played only team games, trying to hit masters in RT 3v3 and 4v4. This weekend I currently got the urge to play 1v1 and have been having a blast. So I generally don't have a hard time playing, but when you get those massive loosing streaks I feel like I just have to take a break from 1v1s for a bit.

Laddering usually means you're placed against people you are likely to beat (aka same skill level, sometimes higher/lower). Custom games are a coin flip, sometimes you get bronze players, or sometimes you get masters, you can't beat yourself up over that! I personally find it nerve wracking to ladder, but once I get into the 'zone' i guess, it's not too bad. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I'd say I'm a low/mid diamond player, and while being in diamond is sort of an achieving factor, every loss I get makes me feel like I don't belong, almost as if I should be in platinum instead or something because during S1, I went 10-3 in platinum. I don't know, that's just my mindset, every loss makes me feel like I'm not up to par with my league, but every win feels fantastic, especially if the opponent was favored.

Whenever the games go longer than like 10 minutes, I usually win, but it is that early game that I am always fearing so much. =)

So yeah, moments like that. Pushing the button though, not at all.
