Once in a while I feel nervous about losing. So I join and leave a couple games.

Now the worst has already happened, I'm on a losing streak. Time to get over myself and just play.
My ladder rank is nothing special, no one else will ever care about it so no reason to worry about trashing it if it makes me practice more.

I get pissed when lesser skilled players beat me with a stupid strat, but i just find player a lot of SC tiring

My god, when I get on SC2, I never immediately want to go ladder, because it always seems to put me under pressure or something >_<

Yeah, once in a while, you really have a huge urge to ladder, and you sometimes even get used to it, or have the right mind set, but it usually makes me really jittery, especially when I'm playing someone that I know/think is better than me.

Thank god! I thought I was the only one who had ladderphobia. but when I win one game, my adrenaline goes up so fast that it's like i had 8 cups of coffee

In general, I'll play until I recognize that I'm obviously doing something wrong (ie losing to basic strategies I'm usually able to handle) but otherwise I'll just play. So, if I lose a long macro game, I say big deal - if I lose to a cannon rush or something else due to my incompetence in scouting proxy locations, I go take a break.

I dont get nervous and when I lose for some reason it makes me want to play more even though I need a break. Then again I have been the same skill level for the past 3 months, so maybe if I took my games more seriously I might actually get better.

I get slightly nervous when i try laddering. I am also very picky about when i want to play. I like to have a good nights sleep and eat a good balanced breakfast and then smoke a little pot. And even then i can only play 4-5 games because i find it so stressful. I used to play 4-5 hours a day with horrible sleep and eating habits and i never had any problem. Makes me think what happened between then and now.

I get soo nervous, i can't usually play ladder. I need to play like 5 custom games first, and make like 0 mistakes in the last 2 of them.

In masters so i see my losses, if i didn't i wouldn't have that fear. I really don't know why and do feel like a wimp.

I usually have to psych myself out a little bit before I can start laddering and I usually get fairly nervous, for some reason if I am on a losing streak it is super easy to play and its almost hard to stop playing even though I will be playing like crap and doing terrible while on the streak. If i start winning games I get super scared about losses erasing my progress so its tough for me to ever get more of a win streak than like 3 games because after that I get too nervous.

i always get nervous before playing, even after many many years of playing sc1 / sc2. It always wears off really fast once i actually start playing though.

1v1 in RTS is about as competitive, scary and humbling a video game can get.

Srsly, when i finish a ladder game my heart is pumping like after a 5 miles run. But i think without that pressure i would jsut give a fuck and play 60% of my skill.
On the other hand, maybe also because of that iam not laddering for 1 month now?

I never used to have a problem until I swapped races from Terran to Random. I was decently high rated so I know it would be really hard to learn the other 2 races simultaneously against these opponents, so I just started playing customs and team games to practice.

By now, I feel just as comfortable playing protoss and zerg as I do playing terran, but unfortunately my confidence still hasn't returned to me so I have a hard time getting myself to play ladder.

I definitely envy those people that can mass like 15+ games a day every day, no sweat.

This isn't a "compare bw to sc2" post, but it's not even close in sc2 to how it was in bw.
I am so afraid to start games and possibly lose points on iccup, but when i play sc2 and the whole process is done for me, it feels much safer. Also it feels like you hardly lose any points in sc2 (even though I know I am).
