Replace Gretorp with Diggity for all casts. Diggity is the man, whereas Gretorp tends to get overexcited about nothing. I understand that they have to hype up the series and everything, but still, at some point it just becomes so obviously fake that you begin to lose interest. I'm not the biggest fan of Incontrol's casting either, but at this point he's the lesser of two evils, and has certainly improved his casting since the beginning of his career.

i dont really post alot but they really need to get rid of gertorp, having incontrol is a good colourman but they need someone that knows how to actually cast.

i think by putting in better casters it will improve alot just on that alone.

-casters mics need to be level with each other, when you get another caster with a quieter voice, raise the one and lower the other.

- and just now watching gretorp said they were gonna go "straight" into the game and then 5 minute intermission showed up, better communication between production and casters.
There will always be better and worse players then yourself

Ok, I really like Gretorp, but he really really needs to learn to keep the volume and pitch down when he gets excited.

It is slightly annoying and it pisses my wife off lol
I kinda miss Idra...

Just watching the stream now, they seem to be doing a lot better than day 1.

I think another suggestion would be having a countdown for the 5 minute intermission so you know exactly how much time you have until the next match begins.

I'm going to be blunt, and hopefully someone at NASL reads this and considers it.

By casting live and broadcasting delayed, you are gaining all of the disadvantages of a live cast with none of the advantages. By broadcasting delayed, you are gaining a slight advantage in production time, and nothing else.

Beyond that, the EG Master's production was equal to, if not better than this, and it was done live.

This July/White_ra preview is the exact problem. It's hilarious, but there are other problems to come.
If you watch State of the Game you will understand why streaming cannot be live for online events, people who you would never think to cheat, cheat because of the temptation and the money. (This was said by liquid Tyler and agreed on by everyone on SotG) Casting the games live allows them to get it back to us as soon as possible, waiting to cast off replays would be much worse in my opinion.

Justin.tv has added delays to appease the SC2 complaints about cheating. I was there for TSL2, I know that top players will cheat. But that's not a possibility if you use the delayed casting. Personally, I think the delay is better to allow more options for the players, but then just do it from replays.

During week 1 day 2 when the casters get excited and raise their speaking volume it gets very very loud, my jtv volume is usually at about 5% which for me seems to be a very reasonable volume and even through that 5% the casters voices are unbelivably loud to a point where I have to alt-tab and mute them for a few seconds.

Is it possible for whoever is doing the editing/mastering for the show to run some kind of a compressor? or maybe it is just me that is experiencing such loud volumes :S

Casters (Gretorp and diggity in particular) need some work. Several times they just say blatantly wrong things. I don't mean the "hyping up" of the games (e.g. caster calling a really bad game the best game ever). I mean the camera panning over a base with 1 drone on each mineral patch and the caster saying it is saturated.

Additionally, the quality of the analysis is somewhat wanting. Perhaps I am just spoiled after listening to Day9/Artosis level game analysis, but if you can't tell what's going on just do what some of the youtube commentators (like HD or Husky) do and just say what is happening rather than repeatedly incorrectly guess what strategies are being employed - being told that marauder hellions are coming and then seeing a ton of marines and tanks just confuses the viewing experience.

I would definitely thumb up Diggity. I haven't seen NASL yet so maybe I shouldn't talk, but I did not enjoy incontrol+gretorp over jinro vs idra at all. I had to mute them... and yeah they could get better over time, but again, Diggity is a good cohice

Any kind of post production should be able to adjust volumes. It's not even that complicated, but I guess they have other priorities on their list of things to do in the time they have.

I'd like to see mondragon.

But besides player roster, and keep in mind this definitely isn't possible this season, but I'd love a really epic intro sequence (perhaps played in between the matches?). The BW Star Leagues were awesome about this, there were epic intros that let you know, this is going to be an intense match. Just the photos of like Jaedong fist pumping an flash after a bigwin, etc. It was just so exciting, and I don't really get that from the current setup.

Beside that, I'm very pleased, great games so far!

whenever incontrol and gretorp try to add excitement by elevating their voices it sounds REALLY transparent and forced (aka not natural). this combined with the seemingly low microphone quality causes the sound to clip and makes me cringe ha ha.

also not to be mean but gretorp is pretty socially awkward in his presentation and it sort of detracts from the commentary. tasteless on the other hand is a typical example of a cool guy who anyone could be friends with, this really adds to the match. on the positive note, gretorp has good insights when he gets rolling, its just his presentation is a bit weak.

diggity is a total boss.

the screen is too bright and anti aliasing needs to be on.. GSL tv looks SO nice

I think NASL should re-evaluate their rescheduling rule. Simply because of the shear amount of games being played and how many days the NASL is going to take, it's going to be inevitable that more scheduling issues are going to occur. There might to be a more elegant way of handling scheduling conflicts rather than the WhiteRa-July result, which was rather disappointing. It would be a shame if participating in the NASL meant giving up another tournament or vice versa.

Switch over to Ustream.tv. I never had problems watching with unbearable lag over there. 200k eagle stream viewers is more stable than this.

an external Caster & inhouse caster is a neat idea! Khaldor is always fun. Is is possible to rotate the camera, one player sitting on the left side feels a little strange. Just nit-picking though. Especially the interview with NoMan was great. Keep it up.

I actually had a second thing I'm not sure if I like. At least for Day2, I don't know if I like the map selection as fixed. Almost every zerg is using their vetos at events to thumb crossfire, and I feel like a lot of them aren't crazy about BWG either. I'm sure the same will hold true on other days for other races, but.I guess I'd just like to see the possiblitily of a veto, but we have seen good games, so it's all gravy.

I feel like Gretorp is doing much better today. Give him some time to get better, it's only day 2!
