Is terran actually weak late game, or are a lot of terrans simply not used to making it very late in the game and can't adapt. Seems most terrans end it fairly early, and calling late game weak is odd. I used to play terran and preferred going late game because I was better at that type of game. Understandably against TvP might favor protoss, but I can't see a late game scenario where Terran is hugely underpowered versus a late game Zerg. Terran doesn't have an obvious endgame (make X expensive units and win, like Ultralisks/Broods/Colossus/Voids do, because BCs aren't good general purpose units). Abusing mobility/drops and forcing combat in small groups against MMM while using a tank line as the main defence is probably the ideal lategame. It's just not easy to execute and you can't 1A a deathball into your opponent's main like Protoss does so well.

Understandably against TvP might favor protoss, but I can't see a late game scenario where Terran is hugely underpowered versus a late game Zerg. The best Terran players in the world seem perfectly on par with the best Zerg players in the world in the lategame, Protoss lategame might be a bit too strong on the larger GSL maps. My opinion is that almost all but the super elite Terran players (Jinro, MVP, etc.) are either winning games early or putting themselves behind. When a Terran player is pro-active about gaining and keeping his advantages throughout the midgame there doesn't seem to be any problems with the lategame (against zerg). We haven't really seen many lategame TvP between giants, so it's probably too early to tell.

What do you mostly see in the late-game with terran? Marines, Tanks,Marauders, Medivacs and Vikings. You'll see a thor here and there but it's so rare to see Battlecruisers or Ravens being utilized. Ravens are used in virtually every single PvT and TvT in GSL/GSTL this season. Battlecrusiers are seen about as often as Carriers tbh

A lot of Terrans are trying to experiment with a transition from bio into mech or all out mech play from the start or some sort of biomech hybrid and we're met with varied success but nothing too solid just yet. There's a lot of holes with either style, and the transition is not quite as fluid. This is not the case for Protoss who, as I said, just keep doing their midgame only more of it. TvZ lategame is arguably Terran favoured but it does depend on how they got to lategame. It's pretty hard for Zerg because the Marine is so fucking good and invalidates so much of what Zerg have, and the constant 12 rax macro from 3+bases from Terran means that even if they kill one batch of marines (putting in a ton of effort to do so), another batch is waiting just behind them, armed and ready. And yeah, these marine groups are of course supported by the occasional tank and thor and medivac, etc. That's a given. But the core is the marine! EDIT- What, no amulet? Fuck lategame, BIO MOTHERFUCKER ALL THE WAY

No it's not. Amulet is way too good when combined with warp in.

Still, i wonder if Blizzard actually knows what they are doing...
