so not much changed other then crushing some peoples remaining trust in blizz. well whatever. just hope the tournaments wont pick the shitty ones up.nowadays you could build a amazing 10 map pool , no need to include the crappy ladder ones and it might give blizz another hint that maybe what they do isnt so great when the random nubers ask why they cant play the maps on ladder they see on streams all the time. | ||

My protoss buddy goes 2 gas into .. ??? well exactly the main is so damn big that i have no clue if he went DT Stargate 4gate I just see the same old problem that i can't find out what the enemy is doing becuase its not possible for me to have a overlord on both sides of his base, ![]() | ||

I still cannot believe they took out Shakuras Plateau though. That map was the most perfect map I could ever dream for as a Zerg. Who gives a shit about unique features? And I'm more than likely certain they mean DEBRIS more than anything. They throw that crap in there like seeds to birds for crying out loud. I just laughed as hard as I could when I played Slag Pits though. Really? You honestly want to give a Terran the chance to drop you from all over the place with a shorter rush distance (in close positions) than Steppes of War? Are you kidding me? Oh, and let's not forget that the Terran player can Siege up and destroy 90% of your base from below. Including your Nexus/CC/Hatchery. I'm going to play GSL Maps. At least they know how to create maps that create amazing games, and are fun to play constantly. | ||

Blizz delivers maps that almost give attackers advantage (an abomination for an RTS) and limit games to one base or at max 2 base all ins. IMHO, this is so that even the most unskilled one base all in noob can get in to the higher leagues, the masses have to feel good. I hope this trend of appealing mostly to the noobs is only temporary or else we will see an ICCUP 2 league system. Shit maps, very, very bad for esports! | ||

The natural of Backwater Gulch is a nightmare, Blizzard can't expect it to be balanced when Zergs are already struggling. EDIT: "Shakuras Plateau produced the best games but it didn't have enough rocks and watchtowers so we took it out" is beyond me. | ||

I am okay with all of the maps except Slag pits. The map is just ridiculous, and taking a third is so freaking hard it is not even funny. I would trade any of the new GSL maps with any of these new ladder maps. 2 players mean no luck factor as in for example scouting the opponent last when he is 6 pooling or doing some other cheese. PTR 1.3.0 is amazing though so, it is not all that bad looking at the grand scheme of things. | ||
