Two easily defendable expansions although one requires rocks to be broken in order to utilise it. However, the only things I hate about this map are: 1) The Cliff on your second natural which makes drop harassment a huge concern. 2) Rich Mineral fields on the corners being on lower ground. Some may disagree with me here but I think they should put the Rich mineral fields on higher ground or on level ground to make it a bit easier to defend while at the same time still making it a challenge because of the distance between it and the main. 3) The fact that only 1 Xel'Naga watchtower exists. I think there should be two at least, if not four. Although if 4 were to exist, I think they should make the map larger, like almost to Shakuras Plateau levels. | ||

Backwater is the most awful map ever! Two destructible debris and a giant ass choke, are you kidding me? My zerg opponent just killed both rocks and walked all over my expo, while my marines in bunkers chilled at the choke! How the hell do you want to secure your expo against roach/ling/bling or four gate? It's almost impossible. The other map is ok, but if you kill the rocks between your expos, if you both spawn on one side, you are in his natural in 2 seconds! Slag pit is awful anyways and the call it a "macro map". Removing shacuras is the worst thing! This was my favourite map with all three races they take it out and delta remains realy blizzard ruins the game The next map pol will contain only four bases with 16 rocks in every natural But whatever, time to play protoss again and four gate to masters ![]() | ||

Who the fuck designed this piece of shit map. PvZ, zerg can make nothing but zerglings and run circles around you. Good luck trying to hold an expansion. | ||

um... they think Slag Pits a macro map? maybe for zerg... lol, but T and P are gonna have a REALLY tough time securing a 3rd (except cross positions) | ||

Anyhow, most of the maps are bad and removing shakuras, one of the few maps that was liked by a lot of players, just doesn't make sense. If Bliz actually listened, they would acknowledge that they are not and have never been good at making maps. Most of their maps are a lesson in bad map design that folks like the guys at iccup actually try to correct. | ||

Im zerg player and I have no idea how to stop 4 gate without being able to put spine clawelers. You cant put em just to defend your naturals and hope that he will not going for your main. Why is blizzard so narrow minded and cant pay a kid who made excellent GSL maps ? | ||
