I can confirm that the maps have been changed a little from their form on the PTR. Main one i noticed so far is that destructible rocks were moved to being on the ramp on tarsonis assault,and that rocks were removed from the 12 and 6 oclock positions. This can be seen in the new loaded pictures in the OP. I cant think of any other changes, but i havent looked too carefully at the new versions

The rush distance from nat to nat is the same on steppes, ramp to ramp slag pits is shorther though :DDDD

Well I know what map I am going to down vote imitatively. Just as the first time I layed my eyes on Jungle Basin I know that Backwater Gulch is just bad in every way. How can they make such a map? Will any of these maps even make it to any serious tournament?

Yeah I am also sadden by the lack of shakuras even though it was my worst map. Hopefully these maps will make for better plays in the end however.

Delta is still there and Shakuras is gone? You've got to be kidding me. That's absolutely ridiculous. Delta was one of the worst maps in the ladder pool in the first place.

Have the spawns been fixed on the new ones so you can't get close positions?

Because high level team games invariably end up as a rush fest without shared bases.

Shared bases gives the defender a shot at defending a rush.

probably shakuras is out because even though it was a loved macro map, it strongly favored one race (and no i don't mean zerg). And the reason delta is in is obvious, as the ladder aims for variety. (the reason why everyone hates it, because they only like 2 maps and everyone likes other maps mmmm wonder why ... when it should have maps in it for everyone).

Blizzard probably removes the most downvoted maps, so yeah delta seemed to be more liked then shakuras. (because alot of not pro oriented players play bnet and are probably really compftable on longer one base play, most easy to 2 base play maps were removed and replaced by either replaced by 3 base maps or one base maps)
