If you have criticism, you need to address the content, not the hosts. Idra and Artosis are 2 (1.5) Zerg players, but you can't point that out and then blanket them as biased. Respond to the content.

You can't tell them to "get 2 Terran and Protoss players". That's fucking obtuse advice. "Yo just get 4 more high level players to record with you." Yes, I think everyone sees the value in getting it, but it's not practical.

Respond to the content and use evidence / logic to back up your claims.

colossus has been too strong in nearly all matchups. any P v X matchup revolves so heavily around this unit it is no wonder.

It's cool to hear the pro's talk about balance, but it's Idra and Artosis, the two most Zerg-biased people in balance ever since SC2 began. Although I play Zerg (XD) this is a little ridiculous. It was smart to stay away from ZvT though lol, it should be interesting when they get around to that.

I like it not one sided at all (as I was sort of expecting from idra lol)

I would prefer it though if you could show examples like short clips to highlight your points. It would just make it sooooooo professional.
it's copacetic... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reapers I think they were confused on. The nerf to factory before reaper speed wasn't because of 1v1, it was because of 2v2. The key nerf was SD before rax (and reaper build speed), because proxied fast rax reapers was pretty much unstoppable. Blizzard felt that reapers were balanced in 1v1 but in 2v2 the only way to be top was reaper ling TZ.
Never argue with an idiot. They will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Im interesting in the blings too. 99% of the time I lose to Z, its because they 1a with blings.

Not sure why people on a non-pro level call T OP in that matchup...clearly I'm missing something.

Erm, banelings are the only viable zerg answer to mass marine. And even they aren't that great if your marine/tank army control is solid.

Every non Zerg who "lols" at IdrA or any Zerg talking about imbalance should actually try playing zerg at a somewhat high level.

The counter for relatively simple executed things is often a much much much more complicated set of responses that require more multi tasking to defend than to execute. On top of that you get the drone/unit larvae decisions AND injects + creep that lose you the game if you dont keep on top of.

Never saw a terran lose because his mule was 10 seconds late.

isn't this always true though?

It takes more skill to properly defend all-ins or cheese in BW than it does to defend "standard" play

I really think that the point about the maps is key and that the match ups straight up are very balanced at the moment if you dont consider the maps. Like Idra said, on a long map, it isnt too hard for the zerg player to defend the colossus because the zerg can sack their army to kill the colossus and still have time to rebuild their army before the protoss comes and kills the zerg. Where as on a short map, the protoss can just march across with the remainder of their army and win, on a long map, the zerg has enough time to gather up their forces again and make a stand.

The new maps that Gom is going to be using look promising and I hope that they make it into the ladder and solve some of the race discrepancy in the GSL.

I'm also amazed at how many people dont think before they post on here, claiming that the show is biased just because its two zergs talking. I think that they brought up some really great points that need to be discussed and I like how they said that in time, players may figure out how to deal with these issues and that it may not be a balance issue at all.

Great work Idra and Artosis!

As long as we're talking about imbalance, how about bringing up underused, perceived underpowered units like battlecruiser, carrier and ultralisk?

Apart from that, it's a very very interesting show, and I'll agree with Nazgul's opinion on this matter.

It just doesn't matter that much and isn't as important compared to units that get overused. Eventually if a unit is bad enough it becomes a taunt to make one.

Near the start of the video they mention how occasionally Zerg players have the exact right amount of corrupters to deal with colossus, but then they brush it off as being unreasonably difficult to do consistently. Maybe they should analyze the replays more.

Dislike to the fullest In my opinion it's a show that is extremely bias. It's two zergs talking about troubles they have.. Im sorry I can't take it seriously without a solid arguement which would require a protoss/terran player to show counter points.

Holy hell this is the perfect 2 people for the perfect show.

Going to follow this one.

I wish there was a terran tho. Try Painuser. He actually thinks going DT is just the same as going banshee!

Artosis has been protoss for nearly a month.

He is still a Zerg player at heart. He has spent countless hours playing and theorycrafting over the Zerg race and is only now switching to Protoss because he feels Zerg is too weak.

For those of you who dont know Artosis has been protoss for quite some time now, and he is really high up the ladder he knows what hes talking about for protoss as well as zerg, hes not biased.

As for the show, I really love the show and i enjoy it greatly, very well put together and its not just screaming somethings imba its discussing it in a well mannered way.

I think it would add alot to the show if they had guests on the show when tackling tough subjects, though idra and artosis are both very smart and could cover most things on thier own.

This thread has become ridiculous. There are people that

A) Think Artosis is a zerg player.

B) Haven't actually watched the video

C) Have watched the video but didn't actually listen to what IdrA and Artosis were suggesting, which was that Protoss needed adjustments so that Colossus wasn't a centerpiece of the entire race.

The other people are D. They both know Artosis is a Protoss player, watched the video, understood the video, and are excited for the next video.
Lanaia is love.
