Well void ray still counters all terran air units badly, so the big of a deal is about heavy harassing bunkers and depots ... (which as a matter of fact got buffed ... )

It is funny how people actually perceive this patch as mainly terran nerf as it is mainly kinda big toss nerf. For terran - sure, they nerfed reapers, but no one actually used them; supply before rax - retarded, but not a big deal too (used mailny with reapers), medivac change most affecting, still, acceptable. Now a really huge buff for thors in TvP. As for toss - huge VR nerf (both damage and speed), really big HT nerf and a little hp buff for nexus - that's actually kinda silly, I think it won't matter much. Zerg pretty much buffed all the way - Corruptor can't be feedbacked, buffed buildings and roach - good call.

Interesting patch.

As a zerg player... I approve of this patch =) although I will admit I don't think the supply depot requirement before rax was not needed along with the speed increase for reapers requiring the factory. But I guess I can live with knowing I'm 100% safe to fast expand against Terran =D just will make early game a little less exciting..

Also very happy about the speed decrease for Medivacs... terran was becoming way too much of a mobile race which goes against their nature.. they still will be prettyy mobile, but this will at least help a little.. Medivac drop harass was getting just a BIT too powerful in the hands of high APM players..

You guys are misreading the VR change. They were massively buffed when uncharged. Damage against armored went from 5 -> 10. This means they are actually useful in a army vs army confrontation.

Has huge implications for P v P.

The reaper nerf is ridiculous, they just made that unit as worthless as the carrier.


What??? Carriers are freakin awesome. A lot of people haven´t used them enough to see their full potential but you can´t compare late reaper without available speed upgrade to carriers. I hope we´ll see more carrierbuilds in the future and I don´t consider them UP. They get +16 damage per dmg upgrade which is just sick but on the other hand they get owned by amor.

Will be able to see voidray use in general armies instead of just harass now. Like the hp changes too, buildings do die a little fast.

Also like they are slowing the medivacs, so they aren't as mobile.

assuming PvP doesn't end in 6 minutes from a 2gate or korean 4gate.
Survival is winning, everything else is bullshit.

I am Terran and I am not mad at the nerf that Terrans received but the way they did it. I feel the same way about the void ray nerf.

Most of the Zerg changes are a good thing in my oponion, but most of the others feel like the game is still in beta phase and Blizzard has no clue where to put reapers or void rays.

and makes the voidray a much more balanced and overall useful unit. the only ones that cry about it are the guys that only cheesed with voids and fear their mighty proxy voids wont end all games now if they get charged.

What? Carriers are the worst of the three against corruptors.
Void Rays still beat corruptors cost for cost(even with focus fire+corruption against unmicroed void rays).

This patch is a huge Protoss nerf... voidrays and especially HT's got owned.

Reaper micro in itself isn't hard, the hard part was managing everything else at the same time because you had to use the reapers 100% of the time, one second of macroing could lead to 6 less reapers.

If you miss supply you're obviously not doing it right either. I'm not saying it was balanced, it clearly wasn't. And yeah, a Z had to play near perfectly to 'counter' it (as if there was a solid counter). It's just not as easy as people made it out to be.
