Archons currently lack good counters from the ground as well as the air. They are simply too powerful for their cost. With this in mind, Archons will no longer deal damage. + Show Spoiler +
Edit: Tozar is the player in the video using this technique (to give credit where its due). He's a 1100 diamond player so I'm sure if this thread gets big enough he'll see it .
Edit2: This has not been patched. I played this game yesterday (Sept 4th, 2010)

It can be done 1v1 but its the Zerg that benefits from it >_<
LOL I seen that happen vs zerg at a local tourney he had 4 archons a mo ship to zergs 30 or so mutas and lings he vortexed the whole army and put his archs in there to the zerg player got up out of his chair when his entire army died to that and raged so hard everyone LMAOED
