Looking forward to the new one so people will start discussing other things in this thread. You guys should really track this stuff. The first mention of Incontrol's comments about Select was on page 85 of the thread, and it is still being discussed on page 111. Can he top this? Can anyone top this? 26 pages is the number to beat. | ||

My brain... it hurts. My comment wasn't even directed at the casters. The podcast was actually right on target; but people jumping in the bandwagon with such thing as "Doing one build is dumb duh" was stupid. Select went #2 legitimately, using his one solid build and kudos to him. Of course he'll have to learn more strats if he wants to stay amongst the top, but saying he was dumb for riding his fastest horse when he got #2 with it isn't remarkably intelligent. Not going to get offended by iNcontroL's colorful reply, I'm actually pretty amused which is why I pointed it out. Especially when fanboys make unreadable sentences about insights or whatever to defend it. It's stupid that Tyler and iNcontroL have been justifying their comments for like 30 pages, but at this point, the dicussion doesn't even seem to be about the podcast itself. | ||

I get it if he comes to Dallas and tries to do the same thing, and so on and so forth, but I don't see the need to switch things up too much when what you're doing works -- specially in the same tourney. iNcontrol had the same discussion with the co-host of DJ Wheats show on sunday, which was hilarious. FWIW, if you're reading this, the Blink micro you did on LT in your match against HuK was one of the highlights of the tournament for me. | ||

If those impressions are correct, how far can we extrapolate this? Could CellaWeRRa be representing North America because he plays on the NA server? Could Azz or iaguz from Australia? Or is it the physical location? could iNcontroL move to Taiwan for a few months and be in the consideration for representing Taiwan, regardless of if he plays the server or not? I think we can establish you don't have to play on the server that you are representing as I do not believe Fenix plays on the Latin American server or that White-ra and DIMAGA play on the Russian server. Hope you guys have time to discuss this as well, as I'm sure you'll be talking about IdrA not being invited and the general uncoordinated nature that qualifying for this tournament was. | ||

In my first post I even gave iNcontrol credit for saying SeleCT played brilliantly (paraphrasing). I'll be the first to admit, I haven't seen enough of SeleCTs games to know if he only does this build all the time in the ladder or in other tournaments -- he did it a lot in this tournament, and it worked. I think that's neat. If he does it all the time, and his TvP game is really that one sided all-round, I totally get where iNcontrol is coming from, but then again, I'd expect the people he were playing against also to know this, and bring that into the game. That's what I'm getting at. I don't know, a lot of the posts here go way further with this than I would. People should criticize, specially in a setting such as State of the Game and DJ Wheats podcast (I forget the name of that one). iNcontrol does it in a hilarious way, which I also like. Anyway, it wasn't my intention to have this turn into the next GermanAccent or ArtosisToad debacle, sorry 'bout that. | ||
