His mmm build had little to do with it. I find the lack of insight into the game from these so called pros pretty surprising.
Even with great micro, timings, macro, multitasking, and game sense... you will lose if you do the same thing every damn game

What about your own lack of insight? Is that surprising to you? Sadly it is not surprising to me.
Look at your list of reasons why SeleCT is so amazing. They are all ridiculously broad and mean pretty much nothing relative to how good all progamers are (including Tyler and iNcontroL). They all have good micro, they all know "timings" ... or whatever you are referring to with that... they all have good macro, they all have insane multitasking, and last but not least, they all have good game sense. Talk about insight.
Sorry for the rudeness, I'm generally pretty polite when it comes to this stuff but criticizing professionals when this is the best argument you can come up with is absolutely ignorant.

I want to clutter this thread for pages and pages with my inane arguments about how you're unfit to have opinions about anything. I feel so left out!

If you feel you have something valuable to say, submit a question and it may appear on the show. Attaching personal insults after you've made your point isn't a good strategy. But for you ironside, save yourself the trouble on this one because you don't have anything valuable to say =]

I have a question, or a discussion. Do you guys think sc2 pro level in Korea is already getting better than western pro level? For example, This time only TLO and Idra made it to round64, TLO gets eliminated. Idra flies to MLG and wins but will he get eliminated this week from gsl or he will advance?

My money's on the silent treatment for this next cast. Inc will be super polite and not say anything rude or funny and nerds will flood this thread with panicked posts about how all the haters just ruined SotG.

You do realize that they're only arguing with you simply because you're you. It really has nothing to do with your opinion because anyone with a brain can understand what you two were trying to get across.
None of us have the insight to even be questioning nony/inc much less arguing for 30 pages. Stop being ignorant and let it go; you are wrong.

That is all.

Honestly, keep doing what you're doing guys. You can't imagine how much I look forward to these each week.

Ive got a question for Incontrol, sorry if its been asked before. Axslav's been doing pretty well every time I've seen him play online in tournaments and clan matches, how come he hasnt been attending MLG? Will we see him in Dallas?

Just one thing, I even agree with Tyler and Incontrol, but I really think that this discussions is bullshit, please dont talk much about it D:

I really enjoyed his games against root.

I think they take questions by email now... sotgquestions@gmail.com

I agree with those that are tired of all this Select talk. Dude did well with one general strategy. Idra's play was very similar. Just stop arguing and the argument should die out eventually.
I really hope SotG won't perpetuate this on the podcast by giving it much notice. It's been mentioned on the past 2-3 podcasts and I think it's enough.
Let's all move on to the next topic. Our love (or hate) of blizzcon!

Sheesh.
I think people must of have just downloaded the Saturday and Sunday casts.
Tyler's been nothing but fair when clarifying his opinion on Select's play in this forum. And neither InControl or Tyler necessarily 'bashed' Select in the podcasts. A more accurate statement would be that they were unimpressed with his lack of diversity in his play, despite winning second.
People really should let go of this now.

Shouldn't we be talking about all the Protoss players at MLG that couldn't adapt to the "one-dimensional" MMM play of SeleCT?
|
I have a question how come no one was good enough to beat the 2 people who did the same thing every game, knowing what they are going to do every game?
