Possible bug the fast dark templar commander didn't attack once he got dark templars, just sat in one base for a very long time. I did take out the forward pylon so not sure if that affected it.
There was a funny bug in the version before the latest. I had won about ten straight games versus the hard ai and was feeling good. Then the ai starting *crushing* me. After about the fifth game I realized it must have bugged and been on insane even though hard was selected. Downloading the latest versions fixed this.
One suggestion for improvement is the use of forcefields. Mostly they help my terran army against the toss. They block their own ramp when they have me outnumbered and they often cut off their zealots from getting to me, so I back off and pick off the zealots running into and around the forcefields while the stalkers can't reach me.
I suspect never forcefielding a ramp when in a winning position and having forcefields hit the middle of a terran army to split it up would be big improvements. Right now it seems to forcefield in front of my army instead of cutting it in half.

Can you make it shut up? Seriously, i don't need any comments from my AI opponent. Neither him bitching nor him insulting me. The AI is really awesome, but the comments are just entirely unnecessary. At least make them deactivatable...

I had trouble installing this. My SCII Beta folder isn't on my first hard drive, and the extraction process is defaulted to extract at C:\Program Files\Starcraft II Beta\. You can't choose the extraction destination.
I got around this by simply copy/pasting the extracted files into the location that my Beta was installed.

man i could easily take on insane blizzard's ai but i can't even beat medium here. i play with therran and i can only beat zerg with mech. i don't know what to do against protoss and terran

There is a check box to make it shut up if you launch it with SCallin1.
Another suggestion is it seems to make way too many unit producing structures. Like the toss base will have gateways, stargates and a lot of robos that it never made anything out of. My last game there were 3 robos and a stargate that never made anything.
Some leaner more focussed commanders that make us respond to them rather than "adaptive commanders" that try to adapt to us, would be quite strong. Like a 4 gate push commander who only adds robo bays or stargates in mid to late game. Or a gateway only commander who just upgrades the units as time goes by. Same for terran.

241 points in the Diamond league clearly isn't pro, but i'd say i'm better than at least 90% of SC2 beta players. Just played my second game and won easily, it fast expoed again with just a bunch of zealots. With micro I was able to kill all the zealots with my stalkers, then I rolled over its base. I think my mistake in the first game was not scouting well enough, it had fast expoed and I didn't notice it until it was too late. One thing I noticed is that the replay didn't save all the chat that the Green Tea was doing during the game. here's the replay of my win: [url blocked]
It changes build order, on my third PvP game it went one base all-in and destroyed me.

So i think i know what might be wrong with mine, im actually at build 0.21. that random update some people got on the 26th. could it be why i can't play?
|
@peeko: thanks for your advice, probably check about dark tempars once. About building structures, probably because it is changing to another commander @omer: i think it not a major update so it will work fine. @LSB: download new SCAIOn, there are a check box "Allow AI to chat". You can uncheck to make AI stop chatting @Dionesyus : Thanks for the replay, there are some commanders the AI build very fast expand, end up to low upgrade, so it can only product Zealot . I think will enough feature to make the Zealot run and waiting for at least 1, 2 ranged support if there are enemy range unit like Roach, Marauder or Stalker.

Very Hard: Slow bonus harvest rate Insane : Fast bonus harvest rate * These are cheating resources like the Green Racer AI, the different is very hard AI have slower cheating race compare to Insane. ptanhkhoa you are very awesome and a baller. edit: wait wat? I have to give deep respect to ptanhkhoa, his AI coding is off the charts. First game i tried vs. the insane AI just for the lulz a cheese that everyone except high diamond has trouble with. I float my CC to the gold minerals, start heavy mining with mules and plonk down 5 raxes for mass marines. I push at 20 marines and he had 5 banelings, 30 zerglings, 2 spine crawlers and 1 queen at his expo with PERFECT positioning. That's the perfect army composition and 90% of human players even get that wrong, im amazed.
thats because they get SUCH a HUGE resource bonus, that they CAN get all of that stuff out in time.

As I know, it doesn't cheat on Hard mode, even cheat less than Insane AI of Blizzard.
|
The Green Tea AI 0.51: _ Force field ability modified target. _ Some fix about changing commander. _ The HR rate now display to Minerals and Gas, so you can know exactly the mining rate of AI in very hard / insane mode.

Was this AI made specifically for very skilled players? I don't stand a chance even on Easy. Does it NEED such high APM to function properly?
Edit: Can't even beat very easy. It's not even close. Each difficulty setting feel pretty much the same to me. It does everything very well no matter the setting. It just does it even quicker at higher settings.

I have a few questions and comments concerning this superb program.
Firstly, I cannot open old replays (I get a message saying "Unable to open replay" and get directed to the SC2 main screen). Also, when I try opening a recent replay (one that was automatically created after playing the AI with sc2allinone) i get this error message, "The mod data loaded does not match the mod data used" etc. Can anyone help me?
Secondly, I am a protoss player and I cannot beat terran on hard difficulty while I can beat all other races (I am mid diamond player). Can anybody try beating terran with protoss on hard?? If you manage, please tell me how.
Lastly, I want to thank whoever made this awesome program!!

Are there any custom maps on battle.net that use this AI? Would be nice to test it with friends online for team games.
|
|
I tried following your instructions to importing the AI to a map and testing (without publishing), and it just wasn't working for me. How does one play the AI on a mp they want?
Also I am extremely annoyed at 2 things (related): 1. I can't select my commander in-game 2. The commanders often run terrible builds because they don't run builds based off the opponents race, which they should. Making a build to VERSUS a certain race is practically just as important as making any build for the player's race at all.
