@rza, chairman : you should find the solution here, make sure to run the tools in administrator and maybe select compatible with service pack 3.

I tried to play like 10 + macro games against the very hardAI as terran vs protoss. IMO its almost impossible to win in long macro games without abusing the AI. Sure you could try and rush it before, but I want to play macro games, and right now the very hard AI might be cheeting a bit too much, as it can break my combination of hellions/vikings/siege/marines extremely easy as it has like 40/50% more units me. I would love too see some high lvl players beat it, as I as a 300 diamond player have big difficulties.

@Omer: You must have 3 things:
_ Lastest beta version (patch 18)
_ Newest SCAIO
_ New map pack

And read the instruction carefully at both tools

By the way, vernam7 is making the new SCAIO with the good watching replay function. Make sure you check it out ^.<

idk how i feel about the talking... it's not that bad if you're playing 1v1, but i tried a 2v2 and the screen was filled with pseudo trash talk every five minutes... kind of distracting if you ask me; no one would actually talk that much in a real game

very good ai though. thanks for posting the tut.

is this AI too hard?

I am not that good but I managed to beat almost every game in bronze league, went from rank 80 to rank 5 over phase 2. But I cant even beat the Very Easy GTAI. It seems to have way too great macro, like it cheats on every difficulty.

of course every setting of the default blizz AI is easily beaten.

@AioncannonzSC2: the AI only cheat on very hard mod or above. The very easy ai show the commander name so i guess it easy to build counter to the enemy ( the APM is 300 though, so later game you will see Very Easy AI cannot control many unit, let some idle worker ).

@Mikehai 683, in the new version of SC2 AIO, there are the check box with let you enough AI Chat and bonus rate on/off

Nice. It's actually not bad for an A.I.

Gotta say though, Hard is way too easy.
Very hard / Insane cheating is something I suppose, but I don't like the idea of only being able to be beaten if the enemy is cheating. I know it's an A.I and not a player, but still.

I guess making a non-cheating A.I competent enough is very difficult, though.

I was ranked 2069 in the North American servers with 241 points in the Diamond league, and I just got completely annihilated by Green Tea 0.5 on Hard mode in a PvP. Well done and I look forward to practicing more before the game gets released midnight tomorrow.

241 points in the Diamond league clearly isn't pro, but i'd say i'm better than at least 90% of SC2 beta players.

Just played my second game and won easily, it fast expoed again with just a bunch of zealots. With micro I was able to kill all the zealots with my stalkers, then I rolled over its base.

I think my mistake in the first game was not scouting well enough, it had fast expoed and I didn't notice it until it was too late.

One thing I noticed is that the replay didn't save all the chat that the Green Tea was doing during the game.
