Dude lets say the variable for vision for the whole map is X. hackers found out it was X so they made a hack so that X will be true (meaning you will have vision of the whole map.) so what blizzard does to fix this is they try to hide that variable deep in the code and change it from X to something like "12984091284hfsd" so they wont know it stands for the vision for the whole map. basically thats it about maphacking. what we're talking about right now are chat rooms. You cant hack in a chat room unless someone makes his own battle.net with xrealm support and chatrooms. You should watch Husky's video at the first post. It really sums it up pretty well.

Lets say we got chat channels tomorrow! Guess what... Bnet2 is still terrible. You're asking for more cup holders in a car that doesn't have an engine. We will get chat channels eventually because they're obviously easy to implement. But Blizzard probably won't fix any of the half dozen more serious problems with Bnet2.

Now, Blizzard about the crossrealm play is like "do you want to play 1 lagfree game and then play 5 laggy games and get discouraged to even bother playing?" type. Now, what Blizzard must understand is that if I have an american friend(im from Europe) and want to play with him, someone out of us two have to buy another game. Right? That is the problem. This is what people hate about Blizzard. My proposal, wich I think is 100% logical and don't understand why they don't do it this way. Because they didn't do it this way, I start to think that they only care about money. I'd like not to think this way, cauze Blizzard makes/has made good games in the past, and afaik they patched wc3 hardcore. Okey, their logic is that they want us not to play laggy games. Fine. I agree, nobody wants to play a game where your probe needs 2 seconds to move. But what if I know I dont lag with my american friend so I still want to play with him? I open a game and invite him. So easy. Instead of buying another game for 50 euros. I want to be able to invite my friends from other regions, but at the same time I dont want to play vs random people from china for example and get a laggy game. Solution: Keep the leagues in your own region. Make it so you can only get europeans(in my case) when you "quick search" for ladder play. It's soooo simple. I didnt read through all the 107 pages so theres a big chance someone proposed this. But anyways, thats what I would do. Unlock the invite-function between the realms but keep the ladders locked between realms

By the way I am excited to hear this Thanks for the collection of feedback and the constructive tone. Always appreciated. We're fully aware of the concerns that are being discussed in the various threads, on fansites, detailed through kitten videos, etc. and we're in the midst of working on a comprehensive address that should hit most of the major concerns. Just a heads up. -Bashiok http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=25170840862&sid=5000&pageNo=3#59 Keep up the good work people!

WoW players have been sitting at a MLG event about 30 minutes now waiting for Blizzard to bring back up their crashed server. Blizzard doesn't give a shit about player base, only money.

However there is a chance they really didnt hear us the 100 times before and this time, with the threat of 1 star and the polls and the kittens and the canceling preorders, and the hundred page threads....has finally got their attention. I say we patiently wait for their responce. We owe them that much.

This is the shocking part of it. Not only is Facebook taking priority over Blizzard's fans, but they are actually mocking us by treating us like idiots. Perhaps we're the wrong demographic, perhaps Blizzard wants to become a new EA. It certainly seems that way.

Just saying. Edit: ofc my memory could be completely failing me and I'm just talking gibberish. Great advice I am adding dates to the material. I want to make it really easy for everyone to follow the whole story on the BNET 2.0 shit storm. Hey guys I need your help. A while ago somone posted saying that a tournament in asia that tasteless had been casting was brought down cause of battlnet. There was also a post saying a lan party (want to say denmark) had been crippled cause of BNET 2.0. Is there any where I can find info on this?

I say they don't care about eSport because they see it as a money drain. if they really wanted esports then how come there aren't any WoW professional leagues in the US organized by Blizzard? seeing how BIG the WoW there. you can imagine now how we are being taken for granted. look at how the WHOLE SC:BW COMMUNITY bitch about that Frank Pierce interview and until now, NO OFFICIAL WORD from blizzard (those blue post dont count). Its almost ten days now and still don't have any idea on what are they going to do about the situation at hand. Edit: I just re-read the short history of activision blizzard and this was quoted from that Activision Blizzard’s CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Thomas Tippl: "Our gamers are telling us there's lots of services and innovation they would like to see that they're not getting yet. From what we see so far, additional content, as well as all the services Blizzard is offering, is that there is demand from the core gamers to pay up for that.” seriously .. are they going to make us pay for channels or maybe latest patch? i thought it was an inside joke but i think they are going to push for this.

They (BLIZZARD) are making this game not for the die-hard RTS fans of starcraft, but for the people who heard that BW is going to have a sequel and they just remembered the awesome Campaign of SC and will buy the game just for that. they don't care about the replayabilty or the community. I dissagree that this is a "hardcore" issue. All evidence I have seen points to casuals caring about these things aswell. It doesnt even need to be something as insidious as charging directly for channels. It could be that chat channels, clans, etc.. are bundled with Heart of the Swarm as part of a "enhanced BNET communication" tagline.
