Overseer changes are good, I like what they've done with this unit. Frenzy has it's heart in the right place but it comes out all wrong. I think I can deal with it simply because anything as a replacement for infested terrans is fine by me. What I can't grasp my head around are the ultralisk changes though. It's issue was survivability and speed in combination with too many upgrades. Okay so the damage was reworked to deal more damage against armored; this is fine. Now they shorten it's lifespan by 150 HP?! They just need to attack the problem at the core and stop beating around the god damn bush. Make the speed upgrade add a charge mechanic so a few seconds after the ultralisk starts moving, it kicks into overdrive and gets a speed bonus until it reaches it's target. Of course the base speed would still increase the same as it does currently along with the upgrade. Then maybe they could get some sort of HP regeneration along with the armor upgrade to further define the ultralisks role as a tank. Balance the cost between these two upgrades and viola, you've killed like 5 birds with 2 stones. Everything would be nice a streamlined and you'd actually get your moneys worth out of these cumbersome upgrades .

Removed cooper / added diamond ....???? why not shift the old leagues? (just confused not that it will affect anyone) Forcefield nerf... it was frustrating I know but it kind of requires some skill and there was always the risk to be in your own disadvantage. Not once I blocked myself with FF. Terran... probably they will stop only when terran will be able to win every game with MM. Frenzy is simply WoW-ish / WC3-ish. I want Starcraft ffs.

Not such a big deal, they fixed zerg now i hope and terran just got their expensive upgrades a bit cheaper. You are incredibly Protoss-biased ._.

There are even terran builds now that involve getting every tech structure which are hard to deal with. With toss, I feel like I'm forced to go colossi... I've felt like that since day one. I think we need our tech tree to be as fancy as the other 2 races so people stop doing things like rushing voidrays or immortal pushing 90% of games. Blizzards idea of a fix to this in ZvP was making phoenix a loltastic counter to mutas... not very fun or challenging, it just removes the option for zerg to go mutas, it doesn't really mix up protosses ability to techshift. Exactly this. Playing protoss since day one but I'm now considering switching because protoss gameplay is really all the same except they can cheese more easily than others, which I don't like. Btw I hope blizzard don't consider only winrates when doing balancing because I'm pretty sure a good part of the pvx winrate is pure proxy gate / cannon rush / w/e and I don't want to be punished because of something I'm not doing.. Anyways, I don't see a reason to play anything else than terran right now, they can easily build barracks + starport + factory and use pretty much all of their units. The only "fun" thing protoss still has is warp in, compared to hellion harass, banshee harass, mm pushes, thor drops, marau drops, m+ghost ground... PvT is hugely broken for me, T should win so much but then again, when you see terrans in game that dont even use ghost against protoss, I can understand why they aren't winning all that much. PvZ was balanced and fun pre patch 13. PvP is hugely broken, the most boring mirror match up.

Fer sure There needs to be a Crusty Terd League. O and ultralisks.. wow thats gay. Just thinking about the hassle of teching them upgrading them making them, making infestors , frenzy casting them....... will make us never want to make them. We dont need frenzy... tho itll probly be quite useful even on hydras) As a Z our problem is our units melt too fast... and we can no longer build enough units! (2 supply roach) we want a spell like swarm that makes our units live longer.. damage dealing is not the problem. WE WANT 300 supply cap.. maxing out at 200 on 3 bases in 11 minutes is just lame... you should have to have more map control to max out that fast.. The bigger reason for this problem: TIER 3 sucks.. does not give us the great tech advantage it should. Its easier to just mass a bunch of t1 or t2... because T3 is not game changing,, hell air advantage is barely game changing in SC2. Also we want a good defensive unit. Zerg has no lurker. or any unit that has an advantage in a defensive position. Armys can no longer be stalled at your choke with lurkers. Just siege up and walk up and kill. unless theres 8 sunkens at least there is nothing to stall an aggressive terran or protoss army to be scared of. Im raging hard lol.. Im literally shocked that they want to drastically change Zerg every patch,, and fail to solve any of its problems yet. and shocked whenever i see the terran buff.. im like no way ? really?

It's nice that Blizzard wants us to combine Ultras with Infestors, but that ain't gonna happen considering how gas-intensive both units are. I'm sure players will try, but I can guarantee that you'll be much better off just using the gas on more hydras.

im sorry but MAKE MOAR VIABLE MY ASS. Sorry, 25% increase via infestor spell ISN'T a justification for an ultra nerf. Good job blizz, once again achieving the exact OPPOSITE goal of unit viability. Play the damn game, blizz. Notice ultra are getting demolished by +9999 terr.terr.dmg. vs armored units from P and T.

TvP I have the most difficulty accepting the fact that they have now decreased the cost of upgrades on terran bio. Now it's even more likely I'll be timing pushed before my first immortal pops out because they'll have those broken marauders smashing everything to bits. I mean pre-patch, stims were prevalent early-midgame, but now it's far too easy for them to just get it early game, and it will certainly throw lots of timings off for Protoss. I'll have to find out and practice with a friend to see how viable Terran timing pushes are with 4-8 marauders and some marines 4 mins in the game. Second, the FF nerf certainly does not make me dissatisfied with any match-ups. If anything I think this was a very well-thought nerf and I have no qualms with it. (I think it's quite fair that there be no indestructible spells in the game, and one that use to completely abuse terrain [chokes, ramps etc.]) Third, VR nerf was seen a mile away but let's take into careful consideration that BC's are 6 range, and our VR's are not the only so-called "hard-counter" for them but they were a very considerable choice against BC's. Doesn't Blizzard notice that people need to learn how to mix units up? What kind of goof would make pure BC's and not make any other viable AA unit that can dispatch of VR's like Vikings? Don't get so riled up Terrans, I'm not whining that we got the nerf, but it was completely not well-thought for them to notice the circumstances of what they set the VR to be. VR's are meant to destroy capital ships, and now I feel that they can't do that as effectively anymore. (TvP is a given, and PvP if any Protoss was ballsy enough to use those jokes of a unit called a Carrier) I'd like to also address the spellcaster problem in this match-up. Templars vs. Ghosts. Ghosts > Templars Why? 75 energy EMP. Doesn't it seem its far too convenient to use? If you'd like to balance it I'd suggest at least making it an upgrade like it was on SC. Also I'd like to also ask for one more favor, make it a projectile that was at least noticeable, and not some force of nature that just appeared. It makes my zealots cry blood, I mean they ARE the only meatshield we have right? Decrease the range also, I think if it's a 6, it would be at least more favorable at 3 range. I'll go into more details in the next paragraph. Have you ever seen a terran bio-ball? Have you seen all those pretty little soldiers all bunched up in a nice perfect circle? Tell me if you can spot the 1 itty-bitty Ghost out of all of them during a fight. - TELL ME if you can seriously snipe that with a high templar. You gotta be on some superhero crack to have that much precision and calm to be able to snipe a ghost before or even during a fight. - IF by some sort of miracle that Blizzard reduces the range to cast EMP rounds, then it would surely pull them away from the bio-ball and be visible for us to snipe, better yet focus on during the fight. We have a mild chance of surviving large-scale fights if we can be given the opportunity to dodge or prevent EMP rounds on our groups. I might be wrong here, but as I see it, templars a nice way to mix-up the Protoss unit composure. Vikings completely outright destroy Colossi, because of their range, and Colossi are a good way to counter any early unit composure of a Terran with a Ghost in it. But it becomes apparent that when the Terran sees a Colossi they go Viking. O.K. that's fine but what do the Protoss have now? Immortals are out of the question, DT's are a possibility but it's expensive and time consuming. So now what were left with is a measely HT, and by some sheer unfortunate events we must now play "where's-the-ghost," or "spam-spells-before-EMP-appears-out-of-nowhere." END OF RANT. P.S I'm probably going to play Terran now because of this bullshit. R.I.P. Protoss, the shenanigans were good while it lasted. ;'(

The biggest problems Ultras had were their bad pathing, slow speed, high cost, and huge vulnerability to anti-armor units, and none of these issues were fixed in the patch. Getting stunned or mind controlled was never a problem, rather it was simply the fact that they couldn't reach the other army without getting decimated by mass Marauder/Thor/Immortal fire. It's nice that Blizzard wants us to combine Ultras with Infestors, but that ain't gonna happen considering how gas-intensive both units are. If people still mass Hydras instead of getting infestor/ultra then I am afraid blizzard will justify nerfing the hydras ![]()

I was getting easy wins with void rays against better players because it was the only viable strategy with my lousy APM. Now I'll have to actually improve.
