Forge nerf wtf, i don't like change to thor and i don't even know what was it's purpose, roach change seems unneeded but maybe Blizz wanted ZvZ to get even less roach-oriented (but IMO it was already kinda diverse)

No I mean as in ammount of players beeing successful with the race.

roaches were too strong for 1 supply but for 2 supply they seem weak, but who knows. every z i faced untill now massed roaches/hydra the whole game until 200/200 and after that replaced with some broodlords an new hydra/roach. maybe we will see more linge and infestor usage now, and not 2 unit spamming into a move. maybe this change will suck ass. but then they will fix this again in a different way.

I really think Blizzard needs to realize that they have to make some MAJOR CHANGES to the Roaches and not just try messing with numbers on this one - It's too F'ed up already... ^^'
But I guess if they make the Ultras smaller just like the Thor, they could actually be useful, cuz atm. the biggest Problem is that they don't seem to be able to attack anything: They're too big, get blocked by the own Units, have messed up AI etc. - should be much better with decrease in size I think.
Forge-nerf I don't even wanna talk about... I guess Blizzard likes 1-base 4 gateway+robo-timing-attack by Protoss against every other race.... -.-°

Roaches are still going to be a viable 2 base tank unit that takes the brunt of the damage. The only change is that you actually ahve to pop an overlord or two extra when massing them. Anyone who made roaches early game was going all in anyway.
How does this change affect ZvT at all? Speedling / spines into lair is what the standard build is. Going roaches early against terran has allways been a huge gamble because of the posibility of a marauder counter before your lair tech hits.
The roach is now fixed in its roll as a tanking unit.

Not really, they were the hardest to master and somewhat weaker than the other races before the patch and this hardly changes that much. Although, I do like the thor change.

The roach has been nerfed back to back for months. It is no longer the "cool unit with staying power for the zerg army". It's just lost. It has no place. Like a filler really.
I don't know what the ultra buff is going to be, but it better involve a change of armor type.
