Remember Blizzard is planning on adding/changing the Ultralisk, Overseer and Infestor. My hunch is that we will see some sizable buffs in patch 13.

Your best unit in general versus terran should be infestors.....Fungal Growth Rapes almost everything Terran has.


its called ghosts EMP and snipe. rapes infestors like nothing. snipe bypasses armor so they might be ok vs ultras too lol

I can get why they increase time to build a forge, but I wonder why the HP?

Sad to see everyone bitch out a patch immediately, this is beta - if they can't test things here when are they supposed to do it.

Zerg may have a bad time for one patch, but I have also read numerous threads that state that zerg is not a very fun race to play. One of the reasons for this is directly related to those roaches being so damn cost effective. It means you can't really have a dynamic match when one unit is just so useful. Change the roach, see what happens, maybe something that is for the better, maybe something that is not. One thing is certain it will change the match-ups, is it balanced? - unlikely but maybe it's better to make something weak to make it balanced and FUN in the future.

Well looks like thats one less useful zerg unit now. So basically Zerg now only has hydra, ling, baneling, muta, broodlord now (until the ultra gets the mad buffs).

Personally I would have just preferred if they nerfed the Roach's stats rather than nerf the supply. Making them 2 supply definitely hurts the Zerg's racial identity a bit, but having them have so much HP and damage also hurt the Zerg's identity just as much since the Roach had the power of a Protoss unit.

I'm just kinda worried how Z can survive against the other races in late game without godly Infester play.

when i saw the first battlereports, roaches had a huge life regeneration, so i thought they are a kind of hit'n run unit.

but when beta came out they were heavy tanks with sick hp regen (that was obviously too strong) always trying to stay as close a possible for maxed damageoutput (so completely different compared to my first impression)

then they nerfed them to a point i found them okay (still that tank, but regen nearly gone) edit: dont want to say completely balanced, just refering to their role in my eyes

now they dont have any special thing of their own: they aren't this high-regen hit'n run unit and arent that tankingcrowd (because now you cant have as much of them so they cant block that much damage)

i'd really like to see them with 2 supply cost but regen again (maybe less hp to compensate), so that you try more than running as close as possible and then attackmove

Everyone is worried about Zerg not having a counter to tank in late game. Possibly Ultras are the counter to that once that mystery buff comes out. Maybe next patch will have some impact on this. Perhaps, blizzard internally is already testing the Ultra buffs and find that the combination of ultras and roaches in mass would be just massively difficult to take down with their combined tanking abilities.

Ye nice one please don`t nerf Terran units it`s totally alright that you can`t go into late game vs them bc emp+unit combination is not beatable oh and ye 1 base terra is enough vs 2-3 bases toss absolutly right go nerf toss and zerg some more Iam going to drink a lot of whine and cheese every T from now on.

And this thor-buff-reduction-in-size thing doesn't suit the Terrans. Just as 2 supply and greater units don't suit the zerg. So is Arnold Shwarzenegger manning a Mini Cooper now? What the fuck is going on with this game.

-Make a reaper or two to force Zerg into 2 supply roaches and/or spines that take a year to reroot.

Mutas are not usefull. They get rofstomped by phoenix / thor. I didn't lose a single PvZ since patch 11.

Zerg will only have light units and will get dominated by Tanks , Storms and many more^^
