Guys, wheat didn't intentionally cut off Milkis in order to fuck him over, stop ridiculing him like he was. He felt that discussion wasn't one to be had on WoC. However, I believe Wheat did choose to stop the conversation at a very inappropriate time, and I think Wheat might agree.

that man is too strong at talking for just one host and translator with his first podcast experience to take on. I don't like how alex does his business, but he is very good at it.

This episode, unlike all the past ones, was almost impossible for wheat to control. I know he was trying to hear alex out in case he ever got to the point, and alex is really good at dancing around the point so he's almost there but never actually addressing it.

This. So much.

It wasn't so much Wheat's "fault" but the balance of the guests were way off, Milkis just couldn't keep up with Alex imo.

Also, I find it amusing that people scream and bitch for an explanation from EG every time shit goes down, and when Wheat brings people on to do so he gets shit for it. People sure loves to ride the hate-train.

Thanks for the shows djWHEAT. Controversies or not, I always tune in and enjoy it.

Pretty much this... Throwing a temper tantrum with empty threats instead of addressing the issue of his biased mediating. -.-

He did say it was poorly moderated at times? What him crucified too?

Bingo. Well put. Wheat put together a show on a hot topic in a few short hours... and did his best to let the speakers say their bits. It was clear several times in the show that he didn't want Milkis getting completely streamrolled because when it really started happening, Wheat would jump in with a loud comment and steer the conversation. Milkis isn't a debater, he made that clear, but Wheat didn't want to put his hands all over a conversation that he didn't even know the facts on. That's why he had 2 guests..... I think Wheat handled it well enough, it was Alex who shoulda stopped when he was ahead.

So is everything I've ever done of biased mediating?

No, it was more of a comment on the old 'empty threat tactic' where you say you will never ever have another person on the show again. Hey, maybe you really won't have another guest on the show again, but it just seems like a lot of vague threats in response to criticism.

lol well played. Also, i appreciate that it was a difficult show to host. Also, thanks for the explanation for cutting off Milkis about the journalism thing.

speaking purely for myself. not at all. i didnt even care about how you did tonight for example. milkis and AG said their parts, maybe things didnt go so well, but maybe they can both come out with a formal statement x)

it just seems like insanity for a person with limited time to waste away on forum posting to get upset with trolls / pointless flaming and saying frankly stupid things rather than just clearing up any misunderstandings

Agreed, I saw Wheat squashing that segment as a way of protecting Milkis. Yeah, Milkis was talking and it should have been stopped earlier when Alex was talking but Alex always has a way of forcing his point out regardless.

I am not employed by EG.

Perhaps not directly, but it's obvious that EG has a considerable presence in your affairs (Live on 3, Inside the Game, EG Master's Cup). A passing glance is all that's needed to know that if you were to make EG look bad, it could be detrimental to your future income. You yell and swear all the time, don't pretend you couldn't have stopped Alex's baseless shit-flinging if you really wanted to (not to mention interrupting Milkis each time he attempted to get a counterpoint across).

I don't think you're incapable of that, and as such I don't think you should stop having guests on your shows that I have enjoyed in the past and will continue to enjoy in the future...

I felt like I called both of them on specific topics, but it appears that everyone is wrapped up in the final comments which is why I was trying to avoid that topic completely. Alex basically fired the gun with that topic and it hit people. Yes it was my responsibility to not let him fire the gun, but I feel like I'm being bashed unfairly because of it.

I spoke to Milkis about it personally (when the show ended) and apologized to him and told him how horrible I felt. I honestly didn't mean any ill will when I did it and I simply didn't want that topic to be associated with Milkis' article. It wasn't fair.

So Wheat, do you think we will have soon Kespa2 because of this? Do you think this is good/bad? Are they going to allow EG to participate in future tournaments organized by them?

I think this is the beginning of something big, not sure if good or bad.

Alex comes from the train of thought: If i talk fast, if i talk loud, if i talk over you, then i win. Seems to be EGs mantra lately.

Man why all the hate for djWheat, The topic was just not something that had to deal with the show and started to stray into places that djWheat didn't want to go so he ended it, it wasn't at the best moment, but djWheat didn't mean to hate on milkis and start a show to broadcast how awesome EG is, dislike EG if you want but don't take it out on Wheat. I found this WoC very interesting and a good way to get EG's statement out and for Milkis to explain coach lee's side further, Best of luck to you Wheat!

EG didn't intentionally not contact TSL either, and look how it turns out.
Intentionally or not, that's what happened, Wheat, just like EG, is just too stubborn to admit that he let AG rant and cut Milkis short all the time.

I see how it could be biased mediating, but it felt more to me like a type A personality in AG just taking over most of the discussion. He has much more invested and has trained himself how to manipulate situations in his favor. Imo, that is the #1 reason for the delay.

It's like when an employee that did something wrong but didn't think it was a big deal at the time is brought into his employer's office and broadsided with a huge attack. He basically has no time to get his thoughts together and might say stupid/contradictory stuff which puts him at the mercy of his employer.

AG was simply playing that way to maximize his own preparedness and dish out a surprise attack or two (like the Milkis attack at the end), like any smart cutt-throat executive would.

The way he tried to phrase his final comments as "unoffensive to Milkis" was what set me over the edge. He was blatantly attacking Milkis in his own "professional" manner. I think he took the conversation way too far in the end...

Edit: I think he dug himself a bigger hole with that single attack honestly. I wonder how long this guy has been out of College for. I heard him flaunt his degree on ITG. And it did sound like flaunting when I heard it...
