thanks, I'm glad that you're enjoying them, my mission was a success.

why not just change the team colours to black too, while you're at it?

i actually have the same problem... there is no Program Files/Starcraft 2 Beta/ Assets/
if you create one, the game will crash when you start it up.

Thanks a lot! V2 is much better! I really like these textures!

Just wanna feedback on the creep:
I think the original version is better because it looks way slimier than your version, yours looks as if the creep was as solid as asphalt, which takes away some of the creepiness.

It should be "Starcraft 2 Beta\Assets\" - than all the files, without any further subdirectories. Hope it helps

hmm well its really weird that you don't have an Assets folder. It really should be there already....hope u figure it out.
Anyways i updated op to show the textures more direct and clearly. Im pretty much done since everyone ive sent it to liked them and plays with them now. Toss and Terran are basically just preferences, although some say its easier to see due to contrast being stronger, BUT for zerg its really no going back imo. Other people have said so too, the team color on them is just great and stands out better. Infestors look way cooler and yeah... Blizzard is most likely gonna update the zerg textures before release but in the mean while, here you go
also MODS please rename Enhanced Textures, thank you

hey pzea. does this still work with patch 9? i had to reinstall due to patching problems with your textures but i still wanna use it. have you tested it yet?
|
I had a similar problem, reapplying textures post patch 9 has been without success.
|
does it require a better computer to use it?
|
Dude! That's all I have to say.
|
Any update? Will not work post patch 10.
|
I just implemented this into my mod and it looks fantastic. Ill be sure to give you credit, if I forget just nag me till i do.
I would like to know what type of DDS you exported as, I tried to muck around with the exposure to make it glossy in some areas (like in BW) but the game just froze most likely because I got the format wrong.
I'm using the Nvidia plugin for Photoshop, did you load mip maps? Also yeah the exporting format e.g DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha, generate mip maps, etc. If you could let me know how you did it would be much appreciated thanks!

So does this work again?
Sacrife says it doesn't, but slugg seems to have had some luck. o~o
|
It works when i mod with the galaxy editor, unfortunately this means it will only work for maps that use it as a dependency, this means no official melee maps
|
I like the Protoss, don't really like Zerg/Terran !

In which case, I fully support this as a standard dependency for future epic community maps.
10MB isn't much space to do a big mod project (using the BNet 2.0 hosting option), but at least it's fine for this.
EDIT:
Actually, this dependency is something like 50MB, which means it can't be bundled and made available through BNet 2.0.
Sad day. )=
At least we have manual distribution right?
|
the dark texture DOES provide a nice contrast for the bright lights and dim background
|
Yeah sadly it doesn't seem to be working for me either. I unzipped the zerg textures into my SC2 beta main folder / Assets / Textures then tried ../Assets/ and unloaded them there. Didn't work in either case, sadly.

Confused, how do i install :O
