i've started replacing the sounds. i'll get it uploaded asap. it wont be ideal but it will be better than the current state at least!

AWESOME!!

I was really really hoping somebody would make this! The SC1 sounds were unique and extremely helpful for conveying information in the game, and the SC2 sounds don't even come close. The old sounds not only sound better but they must be a competitive advantage..

Really nice job. But I think I will return to the sc2 sounds, not because I don't like the old ones.. I totally love them, but rather face that we have to not let nostalgia eat us alive.

The siege tank actually sounds intimidating now. In SC2, a bunch of siege tanks can siege and I'll just think meh. In BW, when tanks siege, I go "OH SHIIII" and watch my expos get destroyed... lol

New version: Major update includes many replaced death screams (however I cannot choose how it gets picked, and the game seems to randomly choose the generic explosion sounds often instead), as well as some other updates and removal of music that the new patch already added

OMG I love you so much. I just played 1 game with your old ClassicBW sounds and loved it, and here i come, refresh the page and a new version is out =D! Mad kudos to you, thanks!

Btw, i have 2 questions: When we go retail with the game, might I get banned for changing the sounds of the game to this? Same question but with changing hotkeys.

I literally play all of my SC2 games muted because I cannot stand the sounds, but thanks to you I will now turn back my ingame sounds =) seriously big props to you. <3

The marine death sound from SC1 sounds out of place after somewhat 50 games of SC2 sounds, I'm not saying the current SC2 death sounds are fine, but they definitely need to correlate with the rest of the "feel" that is SC2.

That said, the siege tank sound fits perfectly from SC1, along with some others, the zerg advisor and hydras and mutas.

Blizzard should either overhaul the entire sound system entirely, or at least buff the current sc2 sounds to match the impact of the SC1 sounds.
